Hawk shrugged and looked down as Praetorus responded. "Well, element bending isn't exactly encouraged back home... It's only when we're alone that Hunter and I can practice, and even then it's brief," he explained. The boy looked up to study the ruby on the Akhetian's chest and wondered if he would ever be able to carry around something like it.

From the same flash of light, Thuun appeared and stumbled forward abruptly, surprised from the sudden teleportation. He managed to catch himself and placed a hand on a tree to regather his balance. After a second, the Zilariun prince straightened and looked around suspiciously. "Good riddance," he muttered. He turned to Oria and immediately asked, "Did you see who threw that?"

Hawk shrugged again and tenaciously rubbed his arm with a hand. "That's exactly it, actually... If Hunter and I were to make things from metal so easily, other factories would start losing business. They've noticed that and have threatened our father to never let us metal bend. That's why we're out here and in disguise," he explained quietly.
Hunter came up behind his brother and gave his shoulder a shove. "And if you tell your sad tale to everybody you meet, then of course we're gonna get blown over," he snapped. He shot Praetorus a suspicious glare, as if warning him not to spread the story.

Morning sunlight poured through the branches of a forest and dappled the dense undergrowth below. Raven traveled over the bushes and ferns smoothly because of his long spider legs, though he still had to use a blade to slice at the occasional branch in his path. The centaur mumbled something about bugs to himself as he walked among the trees.

{Praetorus's expression just becomes even more puzzled.}
"But...there's only two of you...I don't imagine you would be able to create components as quickly as an entire factory. //Supply// and demand. You would have a hard time with the first part given the vast demand, therefore, that factory has nothing to fear from you. Furthermore, if they're so worried about your competition, then why not recruit you? Make you one of them? And you don't need to worry, Hunter, I won't tell anyone."

Starfire's startled readtion scared Hermosa as well, because she squeaked and retreated into a little ball, vines curling up and bunching around her. She peeked out at Starfire and yelped, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you! I-I just wanted to greet you!"

(Quick question: How big is she?)

(Haha it's okay! I still understand.)

Thuun grumbled something under his breath and walked back to the spot where the portal had disposed of them. He knelt down and ran his hand through the leaves. "Don't think the portal stone stayed with us... Just perfect." He stood up again and dusted his hands off. "Looks like we're in the middle of unexplored land. I don't recognize the plants around us," Thuun remarked as he scanned their surroundings again.

Althea stood next to a sign, she left her staff next to a nearby tree and in her hands was a can a paint, with the price tag still on it. She chuckled triumphantly to herself. "Hehe, can't wait to see what the press says about this." She said outloud to herself, she was out in the open and the fact that her bright orange hair sparkled brilliantly in the morning sun didn't help keep her hidden.

Hawk studied Praetorus as he responded, then shook his head and turned to the side. "Things like that have been tried already, including attempts to make us produce more than we're physically able. I-I just don't like thinking about it," he dismissed. "Another reason we've come here."

Raven halted abruptly when he heard a voice. He quickly spotted Althea's orange hair and instinctively backpedaled to escape being seen. Of course, even when he hid behind a tree, his spider legs stuck out in every direction, blowing his cover. //Shoot, that won't work,// he mused. Raven tried to tuck all his legs in closer, though it made a bit of a shuffle on the leaves and ferns around him.

(Oh sorry, I mean how big is Starfire? But yes, Hermosa's about four feet tall.)

Hermosa studied Starfire cautiously, then uncurled herself and sat. "Um... I saw you flying around abd doing all those tricks... I just thought it was really neat," she explained.

{Praetorus gives a displeased look.}
"Well, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. So, from what I gather, you're out here to avoid the unpleasantries of home. What exactly are your plans for the future, then?"

Thuun sighed and took a few paces away, then put a hand on a tree and peered out into the woods beyond. "Not if we can find a way out of here. There ought to be a population nearby." The prince jolted and looked back when Oria shrieked, expecting some giant monster to emerge, then relaxed when the strange bush creature she had found ran off. "You'll find things worse than that if you scream that loudly," he remarked.

Althea turned around suddenly, she spotted a few of the spider legs and threw the can of paint. "cRap I'VE BEEN DISCOVERED!" She shouted maybe a bit louder than was needed. Althea then jumped and rolled towards the tree the stranger was behind, one reason being to get her staff. She grabbed a base ball cap that was now coverd in paint and tossed it behind the tree. "You'll never take me!" Unfortunately the cap missed raven and went further hitting something else. Althea stopped a moment and looked ahead. "Dammit it's just you." She said starring straight ahead towards a strange creature. "Yea it's me, and could you NOT through stuff at me, especially paint coverd hats." Replied a voice, that was soon revealed to belong to a strange equine. "Den you were stalking so you deserved it."

At Praetorus's question, Hawk paused and stared up at him, several emotions flickering over his features from solemnness to fear to ambition. "I'm sure you don't need to know... But--out of curiosity, are you an experienced fighter? I understand you have incredible power at your fingertips," he said.

Hermosa nodded as she listened, curiosity in her round eyes. She jolted slightly at the question. "Oh! O-Of course... I'm Hermosa. And you are, milady?..."

(Yeah actually X'D I don't think switching between this and the DS helps much. But if you still wanna join, I can make things work xD My replies won't be fast today, but I still don't mind another interaction)

"I am. Close quarters, long range, there's really nothing I can't handle. I can even build a larger form than this to tackle behemoth class assailants. I understand that it is your business, but I really just want to help. If you have nowhere to stay, I could build a home for you. It would take mere seconds, and I would nothing but the dirt beneath our feet."

Raven jolted in surprise at Althea's sudden panicked shouts. //What on earth is she even doing?...// He readied the machete in his hand, expecting an attack, until the hat flew past and hit another creature in the woods. //She didn't notice me, after all,// he thought with a quiet sigh. Raven slowly peeked his head from his cover enough to glimpse the two. //Whatever she's up to, it isn't good...//

Hawk nodded slowly. He exchanged glances with Hunter, who gave him a distrustful stare, then turned back to Praetorus and considered his options. //I know you don't trust this guy, Hunter, but he might be the only one who can help us...// "Thank you. We would appreciate your help, sir," Hawk responded with a smile.
"Hawk!" Hunter snapped in warning.
"I can show you where we have been staying. It's an abandoned zone, so nobody would notice if you built us a home there."

"What the hell is wrong with you- Oh geEz Althea there's a head next to you." Denarius eyes narrowed towards Raven, and his nostrils flared a bit, mostly at being surprised. "There's a what now?" Althea said with a unamused tone, reluctantly she looked to the left and noticed Raven. "euAh!" Was all she was able to say and instinctively took her staff and smacked the poor boy's head before jumping back. "Althea!" Cried Denarius utterly shocked that she would attack without even coming to reason.

Thuun raised a brow and stared at Oria a moment. "Very well. Lead the way, then, milady," he told her, intentionally teasing her as well as putting the pressure of escaping on her, simply for a reaction.

Hermosa dipped her head. "Nice to meet you, Amber ma'am," she said. She smiled and giggled when the butterfly landed on Starfire's snout. "It really is... I woyldn't want to be anywhere else," she said as she traced a claws through the dirt. Hermosa looked at her, eyes hopeful. "I-If you don't mind me asking... Could you do another trick? I can't fly, but I would love to see you do something more..."

Raven made a move to run when they spotted him, but then the staff came flying at him. He yelped from the hit and flailed backwards, then snapped, "Hey! Back off!" For good measure, he held the blade in both hands and raised it so they could see he was armed. "You have no reason to attack me!"

Denarius' jaw dropped and Althea tried to hide a smirked. Though holding it only made her burst into laughter. "Althea" Den gritted his teeth and started to grow tense, now that he could see the rest of the boy's body he grew anxious. "Althea please." He called waving around his wings and stomping on the ground, but it amount to nothing, she didn't seem to care. "Man you're, you're" Althea started but fell down laughing again.

Hawk nodded and walked across the street despite his brother's appalled stare (though he had no choice but to follow). Hawk led them up another street, down an alleyway, and stopped at a rusted wire fence, marked with a sign that read, "KEEP OUT." He raised his hand to the wires, and they melted apart and moved back to create a hole big enough for them to walk through. After they had crossed through, he closed up the hole until the fence looked just like before. Hawk gestured with a hand and started forward into the abandoned terrain. It appeared to be an abandoned construction zone with brass pipes stacked high and other machinery waiting around, rusted or broken down. Metal tubing lined the ground and walls of the abandoned buildings around them. "I sometimes wonder if we're the only ones who still go here," Hawk commented.

Kaito laughed at Sophie's exclamation. "Now, if I could get my hands on that much food, I would be able to end the country's starvation," he figured. "But you know, I want to become an adventuring hero, so someday I'll find a way to provide that much food," he said and smiled at her.

Yucca crossed her arms and furrowed her brows in thought. She followed close beside Rakkaus and whispered, "If I were you, I wouldn't let those two think they have all the freedom in the world. Their personalities are going to egg each other on until they do something stupid," she remarked.

Thuun smirked as he watched Oria start moving, then followed after her. He watched their surroundings through the corners of his eyes, then raised a brow at Oria. "You know where you're going?"

Raven stared wide-eyed at Althea as she collapsed in laughter, unable to understand what was so funny. He growled and stepped closer. "You don't know who you're messing with. You two had better scram before something happens," he warned them, though he himself wasn't sure what would happen if they continued to pester him.

"You sound like a King Kaito!" Sophie pumps up a wing, "But a hero is just as cool! Maybe you can use us! We make potions of all sorts and that can help you with all sort of things!" she claps her wings together. "I wanna be a hero too! I wanna help!"

Rakkaus rubbed his ear with his free hand, "Mmm, they're children, let them have fun and be imaginative. Reality comes crashing down on all of us eventually, so let them play make belief and enjoy their youth"

{Praetorus looks about curiously at the rusting machines.}
"Hmm. Where did these machines come from? Is this really where you normally live?"

To make sure she would see it all, Hermosa rushed to thenearest tree and clawed her way up like a cat. She poked her head out from the top, vines holding onto the branches, and she watched Starfire. "Wow," she whispered. Hermosa scra,bled back down and ran over to stand in front of Starfire. "That was beautiful! The way you fly, you make it look as though gravity and the sky are nothing!" she exclaimed in admiration.

Thuun uncrossed his arms and glanced at the woods when he heard the rustle. "Alternatively, you can fly over the trees where you can see things easier," he commented, hinted with sarcasm.

"Maybe we should listen to him" Denarius responded in agreement. Althea got up slowly, still smiling and laughing to herself. "Oooooooo Den you found a good one! Is this your way of getting back at me? It's priceless, where did you find such realistic sider legs?" Althea said while exaiming Raven with her mischievous green eyes. Denarius frowned, and almost looked insulted. "I would never stoop to your level. Besides this, this boy, I have never seen him in my life!" He grumbled. "Ooooo sure yea I believe you. By the way kid I totally want to mess with you." Althea said smiling playfully, though her distance remained the same as she awaited his response.

Kaito huffed and ran a hand through his hair. "King is too much, but I am honored." He grinned at her. "I think you'd be the best help I can get. I know, with your bold spirit, you can be a hero too," he encouraged. "Once we're out of this town, we can start searching for adventures in the desert, hm?"

The desert fairy rolled her eyes. "Honestly, I don't know when Kaito'll ever grow up," she muttered. She looked back at the two. //At least they're smiling...//

Sophie was wiggling excitedly where she sat, "Oooh yes! We can! And we can help people too!" she puts a wing to her mouth. "But, the desert is usually so empty, how will we find adventure?"

Rakkaus smirks at that and now that the city noise has died out from his range of hearing, he let's out a breath fo relief.

Hawk shrugged as he stepped over a few pipes. "I haven't a clue. We've only been in this area a few days, and we aren't sure how long - or short - we'll stay here."
Hunter followed a few paces behind them, keeping a better eye out than his brother was. "Though you can bet we aren't the first ones to come here." He watched a collapsed and abandoned makeshift tent as he passed it.

Raven's cheeks reddened as Althea continued to joke around. "I'm not fake," he retorted, moving forward and lifting a spider leg to Althea's chest to shove her back. 'And you're buddy's right - I've never seen either of you in my life," he defended. "Do you live out here or something?"

Thuun huffed faintly in amusement. "I don't see why not. If anything, a servant shouldn't be talking back to a prince like this," he said before shifting and launching after her, his wings sending a gust of air that made the trees sway. "Unless, of course, you think it's alright to drop the act now that we're away from Chirnagon."

{Praetorus raises a brow.} "Uhuh...Well, once I make this house, you won't be able to move it. Are you sure you want it here?"

Hermosa couldn't help a smile. "You can go a lot higher with wings than on trees, though." She tipped her head and watched Starfire curiously. "Um... if it's not too much to ask, may I... Would you give me a small ride? I-If you're not too tired," she added cautiously.

"You're just playing along, my 'buddy' must of done some sort of weird enchantment thing" She said not being very convinced that this was all real. "Buddy?" Denarius responded confused. "Nah you're more of a sidekick." Althea teased and Den furrowed his eyes. "WHAT?"

A wise smirk crawled across Kaito's face. "Trust me, you just need to look in the right places." He faced forward and then shifted into his dragon form, dark plates rippling as he unraveled his curved wings. Kaito beat his wings and took off, whooping as he twirled through the open sky.

Yucca stayed where she was. She glanced back at the town, then looked between Rakkaus and Sophie. "I suppose it's safe for you two to shift back now, isn't it?"

Sophie let her mouth hang open as Kaito shifted and took to the sky, the little wyvern stood up and wiggled her rump. Kicking off, she beat her wings hard and fast, but it was clumsy and she didn't get more than 10 feet up. Before she started to fall back down.

"Noo I wanna fly too" the young wyvern whines between panting, beating her wings harder and harder, her muscles starting to burn. But she didn't give up yet.

Rakkaus huffed, "Sophie already shifted back, before we left. I will wait, I see no rush to turn back" he continued at his pace.

Hawk glanced back at Praetorus. "Well... So long as it's up high, we should be fine." He led the way through a dark alleyway and emerged into another clearing, flanked by tall buildings and walls of brass piping. He headed left where a field of broken glass lay at the foot of a building with most of its windows shattered. Hawk pointed to one of the windows on the fourth story. "That's where we've camped the past few days. Despite how hidden it is, it has a dozen problems, so we're due for a new camp." He turned and scanned the clearing. "If you could build it somewhere high enough that people can't sneak up on us... We're good climbers, so the height shouldn't be an issue."

Vola: *Moves her paw up to her head and takes it off* (in a dispatched voice) I'm a huge mistake. At least, I can take off my head and throw is at people! (laughs creepily)

Raven looked back and forth between them with a scowl. He wanted to argue with Althea, but her unusual reaction made him reconsider. "You know what? Yeah, I am a fake. This was an enchantment that makes it look like I'm half spider. You got me," he stated, sheathing his machete and raising his hands somewhat.

"Booooooooo, you're not supposed to just give it away. That's boring." Althea groaned and Denarius rolled his eyes. "What are you doing?" Den muttered suspiciously.

{Praetorus put a finger to his chin.} "Ok, I think I can work with this. You don't have anything...important in this building do you? And you guys might want to step back. It's about to get really hot."
{Praetorus begins to roll his shoulders and stretch his metallic wings.}

Thuun raised his brows at Oria, surprised at her blunt boldness. "Hm. No wonder others look down on your family," he commented, keeping his voice indifferent. "Good observation, wise one," he said as he descended to the edge of the town and landed.

Kaito looked down when Sophie tried to follow him. He tilted his wings and dipped down, swooping underneath her in time to catch her on his back. "You gotta catch a breeze before you start flying," he told her as he arced upwards again. When he felt a wind current pass by, he angled his wings and let the wind carry him higher into the blue sky, not even needing to flap. "See that? Easy."

Yucca shrugged. "Very well." After a pause, she fluttered down to the cart and sat in the shade of some of the luggage.

Raven crossed his arms and glanced at Denarius through the corner of his eye. "Giving her what she wants," he replied shortly. He studied the girl before him with reddish eyes, his pupils appearing to have a film over them the same color as his irises. "Now, if you're satisfied scrutinizing me, you can tell me what kind of trouble you've been up to," he stated, tipping his head in the direction that Althea had been standing when he found her.

"Just necessities like bedding and food," Hawk responded. "Should we retrieve them before you...?"

Sophie let out a breath when Kaito caught her, "Easy for you to say and do Kaito" she blows a raspberry at him. Since she had been in her human disguise, she had had to take her prosthetic tail off.

She lowered her front half and raised her rump in the air, her stump for a tail pointed skyward, "Rah isn't the only dragon who's missing things" she says with a note of sadness in her young voice.

"Oh no please don't do that." Denarius blurted stepping in between the two. "Trouble? I like to call it fun." Althea responded crossing her arms. Den walked towards her spoke softly. "Stop playing games, this guy is not safe and you telling him you shenanigating is only going to make it worse. Let's go"

"I'm going to melt down and dissociate the entire building, then build it anew."

"Mm. So it's a you issue," Thuun remarked under his breath, a flicker of a smirk on his face. He shifted into his human form and pulled his cape over one shoulder, then followed Oria. He looked the stranger up and down and crossed his arms, expression disinterested. "Nope. But clearly you are," he responded, intending to mock the guard.

Kaito moved his neck in an equivalent to a shrug. "You've got to learn sometime. I think you'll need your tail back before you can try it out." He beat his wings a few times to pick up his pace, then swooped ahead down toward the dunes. "You ready?" he called over his shoulder. A second later, he crashed into the top of one of the dunes in an explosion of sand that send both of them tumbling down the dune in a flurry of wings and limbs.

Sophie bit back a scream as Kaito swooped down, but it escaped anyways and she tumbled down through the hot sand. She came to a stop eventually and after a moment of giggling, she popped her head up, "AAAAAAAH! Let's do it again! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!" the little dragon squeals with laughter as she chants.

Rakkaus had shifted now, to better keep up with the two airheads.

Hawk raised his brows in surprise. "Ah, alright..." He and his brother both entered the building and found their way to their room, collected their stuff, and came back down. After retreating a distance and setting their items down, Hawk called, "That's all."

Thuun stood his ground. "Uh-huh. I'd like to know who you are and why we cannot enter. My lowly servant hit her head in the forest and now believes she's the princess of a faraway land, so I need to get her to a doctor - or psychiatrist - to fix her," he stated, glancing at Oria momentarily. "I don't know if I can put up with her much longer."

"Ooooo nice try, but I'm not going to fall for that." Althea grinned still with her arms folded. "Well, I-I think we have had enough. We probably should go." Denarius said anxiously as he nudged Althea away, though that only amounted to having her slam her staff across his face. "You're so boring" Althea grumbled and walked past straight past Den who looked more than hurt. "You really want to know? Well I wonder how fast you can go. Catch me and you /might/ get something"

Kaito ended up on his back with his head buried in the sand. He lifted his face out and shook his head out, then grinned at Sophie. "That's the spirit!" After rolling onto his feet, he walked back up the dune, Picking up Sophie by the neck as he passed, then launched back into the air. He tossed her onto his back, then turned and dove again. "Woooohoooo!" the dragon cried as he plunged through the crest of the dune and sent both of them tumbling down the hill - and right into the mouth of a cave.

Raven frowned briefly when Althea hit Denarius, surprised by how violent the girl was to her own friend. He rolled his eyes at her challenge. "I don't think that's a great idea..." //Unless you can run faster than the wind, then maybe you can actually win this,// he thought disinterestedly.

{Praetorus grins a toothless smile with his beak.} "Ok, it's SHOWTIME!"
{Raising his hands towards the building, it begins to glow red hot. After about a minute, it completely liquefies and collapses into a pool of magma. Waving his hands here and there, the magma begins to dance about like the metal from before.}
"A bit of this here...Microcline there...oooh, that alloy is far superior..."

Sophie was having the time of her life, she couldn't stop squealing and giggling. Even when she found herself tumbling across the hard ground of a cave, "Whoa!" she stands up, her stumpy tail twitching, "WE FOUND ADVENTURE!" she yells and laughs at her echoing voice.

Rakkaus just continued to follow the sounds of the two noisy wyverns

Thuun raised a brow at the guard, preparing an answer, but then the new person emerged. He studied the man then gave a slow dip of his head. "Appreciated. Perhaps we may enter your town without a spear in our faces," he said.

The twins squinted at the glowing mass of magma as Praetorus reshaped it. "I can't imagine having that much power," Hawk breathed as he shielded his face from the heat with an arm.
Hunter huffed. "Obviously knows a lot more about metals than we do."

"Awe, someone's afraid to loose" Althea said trying to instigate him further. She then jumped up to a tree on a rather high branch. Althea bowed, and pride herself on how quick and effortless it felt to bound up to the tree. Denarius look unimpressed, as if he had seen her do this multiple times. "This isn't good." He muttered nervously too himself. He gave Raven a sharp glare. "You don't even know how hard it is for me to keep track of her. She's quick like a fox, and now you'll never see the end of it." Denarius snapped before spreading his wings to get ready for flight. // And It doesn't help that we're in a forest I can't maneuver through this brush as well as she can//

Kaito grinned as he rolled onto his feet and shook the sand from his plating. "A little dark in here..." The spots along his sides began to light up from his chest and down to his tail, sending a white glow on the rocks around them. "Adventure indeed... You ready?" he said to Sophie with a grin, voice echoing. He started down the tunnel, steadily going deeper into the darkness.

Yucca craned her neck to see past the cart and at the dunes. "They're gonna hurt themselves or unbury an angry scorch lizard if they keep that up," she muttered.

(Lol ALk X'D You don't have to be super active if you don't want to. I'm just able to keep up now that I have one less interaction)

Raven watched Althea bound up onto the tree limb but didn't make a move. "You think I'm actually gonna try following her?" he muttered loud enough for Den to hear. "I'm not a tree squirrel. And I have places to be, so..." The centaur began to turn to walk away, intending to leave the strangers behind.

"Whoa! You're like a night light! That's so cool!" Sophie gives an excited bounce and follows him along into the depths. She was clumsy without her tail, walking funny and often tripping, but she managed to keep up. It didn't seem to deter her, she was too excited.

Rakkaus snorts, "One can only hope" he grumbles, continuing at a leisurely pace. He did huff and pant slightly climbing over the runes while dragging his cart.

Thuun followed the man, keeping his posture upright and followed a step behind. "From the island you just mentioned. A wind current carried us here against our will, and after a crash landing, Pansy here can't fly home," he explained, making up a name for Oria partly just to annoy her.

Denarius wasn't going to bother responding and was about to take off when Althea leaped towards the ground blocking Raven's path. "C'mon spider boy, we'll do it on the ground then" She said poking his chest with her staff.

Kaito puffed out his chest proudly as he strutted down the tunnel, making the spots occasionally flare with a brighter light to show off. The tunnel widened to reveal a cavern coated in stalactites and stalagmites, and near the center was a pool of water so still that it mirrored the ceiling perfectly. "Look at that," Kaito breathed as he stepped toward the edge of the water.

After a moment, Yucca took off and hovered a little ways above Rakkaus. "Good grief... Those two haven't come up yet. Were they eaten by a sand worm?" she groaned, sounding more annoyed than worried.

"It's more than metals, me boyo!"
{Praetorus yells out.}
"The dancing magma came together into a tall, rectangular structure. Cooling rapidly, it became solid Basalt. It was as tall as the adjacent buildings, except there was only one opening at the top that the boys could climb up to. Spreading his wings, Praetorus flies into it and begins singing as he works.}
"Oh, silicates are all so great,
Just think of all the things they make!
Tecto, Ortho, sheet and chain,
A handsome choice of cleavage planes!
Alpha and Beta prisms are nice,
be Chalcedony would still suffice!"

Raven stopped with an impatient scowl when Althea blocked his path. He slapped her staff away with a hand. "If you want to play it this way..." He abruptly launched forward with impressive speed, thanks to his eight powerful legs, and reached out to grab Althea's arm.

Sophie seemed impressed by Kaito, then again, it wasn't hard to impress the young dragon. "Wow! It's so pretty!" she gawks, "So many spiky things! From the floor and the roof!" she was on her hindlegs, stretching herself up and spinning in circles as she walked.

Not paying attention, she fell right into the still water, going under completely....Kaito could probably hear her muffled voice, Sophie was excitedly talking underwater.

Rakkaus stopped and sat down in the cave entrance, just enough inside to get out of the sun. "Mmm, they'll be fine, those hardy dragons aren't easy to kill" he says nonchalantly.

Thuun shrugged. "Guess we were lucky." He rolled his eyes at Oria's response. "She still hasn't gotten her name right. But everything else is true," he confirmed as he tipped his head toward her. //At least she's playing along with everything else.//
The prince glanced around at their surroundings. "What do you call this land, and your people?"

@Aggron (I'm impressed with how quickly you wrote that. xD)

"Wow," Hawk breathed as the Akhetian quickly formed the building.
Hunter smirked and nudged his brother. "Maybe you'd do better if you sang poems like that," he teased.
Hawk huffed. "Yeah right." He picked up his bundle of belongings and started toward the newly made structure, eager to see it up close.

Denarius eyes widened and growled showing some impressive fangs. As Raven advanced foreward to grab Althea's arm Denarius swooped in and tackled the spider-centaur before Althea had time to react. Den bared his fangs at Raven spread his wings to appear bigger. The air stirred up around him and the girl and a link of chains materialized around Althea's wrist binding her to the ground incase she decided to run off. A menacing glow leaked from the creature's eyes. "I've had had enough, Althea, sometimes you forget your place." He hissed eyeing her, his gazed then shifted back towards Raven. "And /you/ don't you dare let me see that kind of behavior again. Unless you'd like to recieve some misfortune." Althea attempt to move from her chains but was pulled to the ground. "Den c'mon it was just a game, I'm fine and he wasn't going to do anything, leave him alone."

(I actually don't think I've ever shown off Den's powers too much in a roleplay lolol. He doesn't really like useing them like this though, especially on Althea, but sometimes she just needs to be slapped down pfffff)

{The structure was indeed Basalt, but it was...flawless. Each microcrystalline grain was linked together perfectly and seemed polished to create a beautifully smooth appearance.}

"I think you'll like the inside!"

Kaito nodded as he gazed up at the stalactites. "Yeah, they're stalactites and stalagmites which form when..." He trailed off when Sophie fell into the pool, and he rolled his eyes. Stepping over her, Kaito plopped into the water and lowered himself as low as he could, letting the water seep between his plates. "Aaaahhhh, nice and cool," he purred as he sank his head until it just barely peeked above the surface.

Yucca fluttered up to the cave entrance and peered inside nervously. "Are you sure? I know Kaito'll be fine, but Sophie's young and naiive... "

Thuun pulled his arm away when Oria pinched him and he looked her over with a warning look. //I'm beginning to believe the things I've said about her...//
He glanced forward at the Zilariun. //Niketra... I've never heard of it. We must've lost contact centuries ago for it to never show up in our history books.// "You seem respectable for one who's lost his gems," he commented.

Sophie swam up, just to pop her head above the surface, she coughed up mouthfuls of water. "Kaito...it..so...nice...in here!" she says between coughs. The horns on her head rose up and down with her excitement. "Do you think this place has treasure or monsters?"

Rakkaus unhooked his tail from the cart and stood up, "Alright, we'll go check on them you worrywart" he smirks and starts to walk deeper into the cave, sniffing along and following the scent trails.

Raven shouted in surprised and fell to the ground under Denarius's pounce. He stared up at him with wide eyes, unable to reach the weapons on his back and unnerved by the creature's sudden display of power. He kept an arm in front of his face for protection and eyed Den. "She's right. I wasn't going to hurt her," Raven said slowly, careful to not provoke him more.

Hawk stared up the building at Praetorus. "How do we get up?" he called.
Hunter came up behind him with a not-so-amused face. "Way to stay hidden... Looks like we're back in a mansion," he remarked.

Kaito watched Sophie, his glowing spots making the water glow too. "Well, where there are monsters... There's also treasure," he ventured with a toothy dragon grin. The shifter crawled out on the other side of the pool and peered into the tunnels beyond, ears perked up and listening for any life or other phenomena. "Which way, little hero?"

Yucca buzzed in after Rakkaus but slowed down when his rear blocked her way. "You aren't gonna save anyone if you plug this tunnel with your dragon rump," she huffed dryly.

(Just so you all know and aren't bugged by it, I'm using the @ tags to help me know who I've replied to. Helps me keep myself organized xD)

{Praetorus pokes his head out and looks down at them.}
"Oh, right. Um, hold on.."
{Spots along the wall become molten again and form into climbing pegs. Once they cooled, he called down again.}
"Ok, try now!"

Sophie grinned as well and followed him out of the water, she mimicked him, "Hmm" her horns twitch and she takes a few more steps forward. "This way!" she bounces along down the tunnel.

Rakkaus snorted, "Hush, my rump is not that big, you're just small" he continues along, occasionally bumping the ceiling with his back plating or hitting his head on a wall, by accident.

When he was younger and could see, he would use his green lights to help him along. But now, being blind, there was no point. At least that's how he saw it.

Thuun looked at Oria through the corner of his eye. //She's tough to do that to herself.//
He turned back to the man to watch him. "I see... Traditions are somewhat different where I come from." He dipped his head and responded, "I am Thuunawein. Thank you, Aureu, for welcoming us in. Are you the head of this town?"

Hawk tied the ends of his bundle in a loop and slung it over his shoulder, then began to scale the wall. Hunter followed behind. The twins eventually reached the top of the structure and stood. "This is truly impressive," Hawk admitted.

Denarius stood his ground and kept his eyes fixed on Raven. His expression become motionless except for his eyes, which were wild like an animal's. "Den!" Althea called, though it sound more like an actual plea. She again advanced towards him again, but it proved almost no use and the chain were starting to burn her arm. She winced and scowled to herself. "Den you overgrown donkey, snap out of it!" Althea yelled and kicked up some loose stones at him. A few of them landed and a moment or two after that, all the stirred up air around hin ceased. The changes disappeared from Althea and Den had seemed to revert back to how he was formerly. He folded in his wings and looked distantly at the ground. "Tch" Was all that he responded with before walking away. Althea got up and grabbed her staff looking at Raven maybe a bit shook up from what had happened. All the smiles from her face were gone. "Sorry, but it seems all the fun is soiled. I guess you get to go back doing whatever". She mumbled her face written in disappointment.

Kaito smiled and followed Sophie, keeping his senses tuned so nothing would jump out at them. When he caught the distant sound of shuffling, he asked "Do you hear anything, Sophie? Pay close attention," he whispered, voice echoing slightly.

Yucca growled. "More like, this tunnel's small - too small for you." She decisively flew under his belly and emerged in front of him, relying on her green glow to lighter her way. "I should probably take the lead, with you, you know..."

Raven let out a breath of relief when Denarius finally backed down. He rolled over and stood up, then turned to look Althea over. "Yeah... Guess so." He brushed himself off, intending to leave, but then he narrow 3D his eyes and asked, "Who are you two, anyway?"

(Also, I'll probably be heading to bed soon-ish)

Sophie paused and raised up on her hindlegs, much like a prairie dog would do when scouting. She strained to listen, "Oh I do!" she looks up at him, eyes dancing with excitement, "It's a shhh-shhh-shhh sound, like someone is dragging something or their feeties!"

Rakkaus flinched when Yucca's voice was suddenly in front of him, "Front or back, doesn't matter, still can't see you 'take the lead'" he huffs.

"Thank you, Hawk." {Praetorus turns to show them the inside. The walls were coated with a light colored rock (Microcline Feldspar), the floor was Basalt, and it was very spacious. There were big, stone buttons on the walls and there were lightbulbs in the ceiling.}
"So, I melted down the ground and connected it to the city's power and water, so everything works."

"Violent?" Thuun repeated to himself. //Guess he's got that fact straight.// He then frowned. "Other countries? There are more than this and Eskwua?" he asked, gaze growing intent.

Kaito grinned, genuinely impressed. "Good. Are you ready to battle your first cave monster?" he asked.

Yucca faced Rakkaus with crossed arms while still moving slowly down the tunnel. "Blind men don't need to see their seeing dogs in order to be led," she puffed. "Just shut your trap and trust me." She turned around in time to run into a stalactite and bounced off with a squeak.

"Wanderers" Den said with a deep tone and a sour glare. Althea ignored Den's passive attitude and replied cracking a small smile. "I'm Althea, and that's Denarius, we're just two people who are making it in this world, like anyone else."

Sophie wiggled her rump, "Yes!" she hops up and down, then she twists off chasing the sound. "Come here monster!" she hollers, "I am here to battle you and take your treasure!"

Rakkaus laughed when she squeaked, "Hmm, seems we're both visually impaired" he smirks and continues down the tunnel, without waiting for Yucca.

Hawk gaped at the interior once he was in. "This is... Wow. I can't comprehend the extent of your power," he murmured.
Hunter surveyed the structure skeptically. "Are we expected to maintain it too? Or did you also craft animated stone maidens to do the job?" he said sarcastically.

Thuun nodded to the two Zilariuns, then turned to Oria and made a shooting motion with his hand. He wasn't reluctant to do away with her.

Raven looked the two over slowly. "For wanderers, you sure are something else." He rubbed his forehead and murmured, "And here I am thinking I can help save the world."

Althea laughed at Raven's statement. "Save the world? Why do that? There are too many things that messed up for one person to do that." Denarius' ears twitched backed as if what Raven said interested him. "Den here, likes to try to help others out when he can, but I have to constantly remind him that he can't help everyone. It's better if you just look out for your own interests." @Fade

Kaito blinked in panic and started after Sophie. "Not so fast, little fighter, you gotta plan your approach..."
In the tunnel up ahead, there was an eerie blue glow accompanied by the growing sound of something shuffling along. Around the corner was a grub-like worm the size of a dog with a few pairs of legs up front and a worm body that dragged behind, and its insides glowed blue-green. The worm hissed and snapped its pointy pnchers when Sophie came near.

Yucca took a moment to recover, then stuck her tongue at him. "Humph!" She fluttered after him, this time avoiding the stalactites in the way.

Hawk chuckled and rubbed his neck. "No worries, I'm sure we'll be fine... Two of us can't possibly make that big of a mess. Is there more to this building?" he asked out of curiosity.

Sophie squeaked when the worm thing snapped at her, she hopped back and raised her wings up, wrinkling her snout and growling at the worm creature. "What do we do? Do we eat it Kaito? I think you could gobble it up" she grins up at him, "It probably taste slimy"

Rakkaus just strode along, occasionally his plating and horns struck stalactites and broke off on his armor. It didn't seem to phase him. He made a started noise when the hard floor was gone, Rakkaus had found the water...with a loud splash he was half in it.

Thuun rested his hands on his hips and watched the doctor and Oria. "You said it already. Violent. The land itself is thriving, but there's special tension between most Houses. War is common," he explained. "Is this place anything like it?"

Kaito responded with a skeptical look. "I don't know, I'm not a fan of slimy, glowing food... But if it were crunchy, then maybe I'd give it a taste. So? How will you assess this? Where are its strong and weak points?" he tested her, while the worm continue to hiss and thrash its head.

Yucca squawked and flew back to avoid the water splash. "Where are you going you giant dunce? You seriously can't feel ahead before plunging in?" she snapped.

"That's the dumbest cop-out I've ever heard." Althea groaned placing her hands on her hips. Denarius stepped foreward. "Why not leave? If you really hate it that much."

"Yes. The lower floors are empty and there is a secret tunnel that leads to the sewer below. You know, in case those factory dudes you mentioned decide to come after you. Also, the walls are lined inside with asbestos form minerals to serve as insulation, so you guys won't freeze at night."

"Unfortunate," he said, sounding as though he was commenting on her wrist, though the haughty glint in his eye meant something else.
