Blue waves rolled onto the sandy shores of a tropical island, coated in greenery and bubbling with birds and animals. Bell walked along the water's edge, giggling and bouncing away whenever the waves rushed after her. She had a few shells in her hand and was studying the wet sand intently as she went. "Pink, pink, pink... Where is it?" Bell hummed.

Loki was lost, she had no idea how she ended up on some tropical island. The size shifter ran her hand through her short dark hair, "Sure is hot...too hot" she grumbles, her feathers were sticking to her skin from how much she was sweating. "I hate the tropics, give me winter any day" she's walking through the water, only up to her ankles.

Aaaahhhh, I'm late nuuuu!

Kaito walked casually down a sandy street in a desert oasis city, following the channel of water beside him and weaving his way through the busy road. There were shops and food stands everywhere, merchants yelling out advertisements and waving fish and jewelry. Kaito whistled as Yucca buzzed beside him. "It's too busy in the morning to be going through here. You're gonna bump into someone," the fairy remarked, waving a little green finger at him.
"Relax, I'm perfectly fine," Kaito said, watching the merchant stands and neglecting where he was walking.

Sure, if you'd like Blood! I may have to stick to just Bell for that interaction, though.

Rakkaus was with Sophie, the two were purchasing supplies from various shops and stands, but unlike normal, they were in their human disguises. They couldn't naturally take a human form, Rakkaus used potions to do it.

Rakkaus was a tall 6'4 man, with dark skin and short, curly graying hair. He pulled along their cart with one hand.

Sophie was running shop to shop, having ditched Rakkaus. She was a small, pale girl with piercing red eyes. She stood about 3'5 tall.

Rakkaus's sightless gaze stared straight ahead, his brows furrowed as he muttered about Sophie ditching him, he ended up walking right into Kaito.

(That's what I meant Fade, both in one)

(Actually, I've got a brand new OC I'd like to use. It's the bird Akhetian whose wip you saw on that random RP cover. Do you mind waiting a minute for me to post his finished ref? I'll fill in the relevant data later, if that's ok, or would you rather know now?)

Bell at last spotted something pink and shiny peeking from the sand. She gasped excitedly and dug her fingers in around it, then pulled out a pretty pink conch shell. "Gotcha!" she yelped, raising it into the air in victory. She paused when she spotted a human figure walking up ahead. "A... person? Hey!" Bell suddenly rushed toward Loki, waving her hand with the shell in the air. "Hiii! I'm Bell!" she called out, still a distance away.

Kaito turned his head forward just in time to slam into Rakkaus's chest and stumble back a few steps, shocked from the impact. Yucca squealed in shock and agitation and whizzed around the two. "Aaaah, now you've done it! Apologize to the old man you dunce!"
Kaito took a moment to rub his nose, then scrunched his brows and studied Rakkaus. "Ah, sorry about that- I didn't see you there," he said, though it seemed a little silly after he realized how tall he was. "Are you alright?" Kaito asked, stopping himself from rubbing his nose more.

(Sure Aggron! I'll just need the basic information needed to be able to interact with him, like personality. Other than that, you don't need to worry about the data for this!)

Loki froze when she heard someone yelling, she looked up and noticed Bell, //Oh no, she's coming this way// she thinks quickly, moving out of the water. She was about to size shift to the size of a mouse, when a thought struck her and stopped her, //What if she steps on me?//

So Loki stood there, looking stunned and confused

Rakkaus didn't respond at first, narrowing his eyes, he thought the voices were familiar. It took him a moment to place it, "Ah hell! It's you two pests again" he growls, he sounded the same as his true form. Except a little more quiet, but his voice still had that distinct gravelly rasp.

Bell didn't notice Loki's panic and ran right up to her, smiling wide up at the size shifter. "Hi! What's your name? Look at the shells I found!" she exclaimed, not even giving her a chance to respond, as she held out her hands and opened them to reveal a rainbow of different colored and sized shells. "They're so pretty in this place!"

Kaito and Yucca both paused when Rakkaus responded grouvhily. Kaito furrowed his brows thoughtfully. "Hey, do I know you from somewhere?..."
Yucca flew up to Rakkaus's face and jabbed a tiny finger at his nose. "Ah! We do know you! You're that lazy old dragon with the baby! You're a shifter too?"
A friendly smile grew on Kaito's face. "That's right! I didn't expect to see you again! You walked here?"

Loki frowned at how fast Bell spoke, "Uhm..." she looked down at the shells in Bell's hands, "They are pretty, I guess? Bright colors aren't really my thing" she rubs her arms, "My name is Loki, to answer your first question"

"Lazy!?" Rakkaus bared his fangs, "I may be old, but lazy I am not!" he snaps. "You don't watch your tongue little fairy, I'll eat your wings off"

He crosses his arms, "Of course we walked, I don't have wings, nor am I a shapeshifter. I used potions to disguise me and Sophie, she is also not a baby, she's a child"

She tried to point to each shell as she addressed them, though her hands were busy holding the shells, so some of them dropped to the sand. She stopped down to pick them up and tried to finish her show and tell. "So! This one's pink and obviously a girl, so she needs a girl name. How about Rocky?"

Yucca flew back at his shout and whirled around to sit in the safety of Kaito's hair, though she still glared suspiciously at Rakkaus. "Last I saw you, you were laying in the street like you were dying," she muttered under her breath.
Kaito tilted his head and place a hand under his chin contemplatively. "I see... I must respect you for walking all this way. Say, speaking of, where is Sophie?" he asked as he looked around for a sign of the dragonette, hoping to see her again.

Loki groaned, "No, don't name all the shells, they're shells! You're not honestly gonna remember them all or keep them!" she starts to walk away from Bell now. Shaking her head, //I would find the loudest person in the universe...//

"I don't know where the runt is, she took off with some coins, probably buying snacks. While I'm stuck bumping into people" Rakkaus tips his head and draws in a deep breath, "SOPHIE! GET OVER HERE!" his voice booms through the market place.

It wasn't a minute later, a small girl came running up to him, "Yeesh, everyone in the market looked in your direction, that's embarrassing Rah"

"I don't care Sophie" Rakkaus growls, "Let's leave"

{It was mid day in a bustling, steampunk city. The people were going about their day-to-day tasks, not giving much thought to the giant, metal bird-man wading through the crowds. Most just thought he was some wealthy man's very advanced automaton rather than a hyper-dimensional being, given how well put together he looked, in these hard times. Praetorus looked about at the townspeople curiously as he aimlessly wandered about.}

Bell naturally followed after Loki, eyes still studying the shells. "I'd really like to add them to my collection, though! I think I have almost twenty by now, back home," she said eagerly. "Though I think I already have one named Shelly..." Bell was so focused on the shells that she accidently walked right into Loki's back, stepping on the size shifter's heel and causing her to trip.

Kaito's eyes widened in interest. "You must really trust her to let her go out on her own. Yucca hardly ever--" He stopped when Rakkaus shouted into the air suddenly, and Yucca squeaked and took cover in the fabric of the back of Kaito's collar.
Kaito looked over when Sophie emerged and grinned, immediately seeing the resemblance between her current form and her dragon form. "Sophie! Remember me?" he said, opening his arms and smiling down at her. Yucca peeked out from behind his neck to study the girl, one brow raised. "Yep, that's her."

"Then you should h-" Loki lets out a squeak as she's tripped, clamping her mouth shut so she didn't get a mouthful of sand. "As I was saying, you should have a bag with you to carry them" she sighs, "And please, watch where you're going"

Sophie looked to Kaito, only taking a moment to recognize him, "KAITO!" she squeals excitedly and runs up to him....and she hugs his leg. "I missed you so much! It's so good to see you again!"

Rakkaus just rolls his eyes and waits patiently.

Away from the crowds and in the shadow of a brick building, Hawk and Hunter sat around and watched the crowds. Hunter leaned back against the wall with his arms crossed and a bored expression, while Hawk sat on a crate and was using his metal bending to create an intricately-detailed steampunk bird in his hand.
Hunter scanned the crowds until he spotted something metal and moving among the people. His interest piqued. "Hey, Hawk. Look at that. That guy looks like he's made completely of metal."
Hawk looked up from his craft to spot Praetorus. "Huh, wow. There's gotta be a person inside that," he figured. He was about to return to his metal bending, until Hunter pushed off the wall and started after the metal man. "Hey! Where are you going?"

Bell stopped quickly when Loki tripped, face quickly filling with regret. "Sorry..." She quickly lit up again. "That's a good idea! Do you have a bag I can use?"

Kaito smiled wide, filling with warmth from the little hug. "I did too. It's good to see you're well," he hummed as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Are you still bossing your old man around like the big girl you are?" he said teasingly, somewhat forgetting Rakkaus was still there.
"She's so tiny. Like you can't imagine the ball of scales and bratty she actually is," Yucca couldn't help but comment to no one in particular.

(Hi Robin! Aww, that sucks. :( You're welcome to hang around though if you still want to!)

{Praetorus was completely unaware of the boy. Instead, he had stopped at a vendor's booth and was childishly poking the scrap parts hanging from the ceiling.}
"How fascinating."
{He spoke in a surprisingly smooth voice}
"All these parts just to make a construct that is wildly inefficient. Why steam power over petroleum, or even nuclear energy? Both would provide far more efficient energy sources."

(The main problem I'll have with her is that I haven't officially decided on a name though I might have to for now. I'll try to see if I can slide away with out one)

Hawk hopped up and hurried after his brother, though he fell a few paces behind when a wave of people slowed him down.
Hunter kept pursuing the metal being until he spotted Praetorus up ahead, stopped at a vendor booth. "Hey!" he called out as he approached, coming within sight so he could look the stranger up and down. "Who are you? How'd you build that suit?" he questioned bluntly.
Hawk finally caught up and slowed down as he neared them. "Hunter, thag's not the way to address someone, you know..."

Loki got up, "No I don't" she brushes the sand off her shorts and shirt. "Bell, how did you get out here on this island? I have no idea how I got here, I don't fly and I don't swim, at least, I don't swim well"

"Oh yes I am" Sophie says, giggling when she hears Rakkaus snort.

The elderly dragon ignores Yucca's comments and Kaito's, "Alright, we've gotta go, these potions don't last forever and the last thing we need is hunters on our tails" Rakkaus grabs the cart handle again, "Let's go Sophie"

Sophie sighs, "But we just met up with Kaito and Yucca again, I don't wanna say goodbye" she whines

(Haha alright! You could just use a temporary name, like a random one or one that has to do with her, like the kind of bird.)

Bell frowned in thought, wondering where else she could get a bag, then paused and studied Loki's face. "How'd I get here? I dunno... I was just here. I don't think m it matters. Maybe you did fly but didn't realize it!" she exclaimed suddenly. She pointed to the woman's face. "See? You have feathery things on your face, so you must secretly be a bird shapeshifter! I am too, so maybe that's how I got here! No, I think I swam. I remember swimming a while ago," Bell murmured in concentration, furrowing her brows and rubbing her head.

The streets lay quiet after dark, the only ones out were those who hung near the edge of building and in the shadows of the ally ways. The moon was full bright and it hung high in the night sky, to which there were no clouds or stars to be seen. A tall thin women sat upon the edge of a fountian and breathed in slowly. She lifted her electric blue eyes towards the heavens for only a second. "It's full" She whispered silently to herself, before proceeding to close her eyes.

Kaito looked down at Sophie, then at Rakkaus, face turning into a frown. "Hunters? There aren't many dragon hunters here. Are you a wanted person? And yet you're letting Sophie be in danger by bringing her along?" he challenged, squeezing Sophie's shoulder slightly in a protective gesture.

(I have two names in mind maybe I'll use both not sure though

{Praetorus turns to look at the boys. As he speaks, his beak and face moves too, as if it were flesh and muscle rather than metal}
"Oh, hello children. My name is Praetorus. How did I build this suit? It's not a suit, this is my form. I understand I must look strange, but I assure you, this is my actual body.

Cayden stalked down the street with his fist balled by his side, muttering under his breath and glowering ahead. "Dumb innkeeper won't take my money just because it's foreign, even though I'm a prince. A prince!" he snapped, breaking the silence of the night. "He wouldn't believe me! I knew I should've brought my signia," he continued to grumble as he passed by the alleyway where the woman was.

(Up to you! And I'm fine for now, thanks Alk!)

"Uhm no, I'm not a shapeshifter or any sort" Loki rubs her feathers Bell pointed to self consciously, "I'm a size shifter, I don't really change into other creatures-" she pauses, "You shapeshift?"

Rakkaus huffed, "I had a reputation when I was younger, but that was a long time ago" he hears the challenge in Kaito's voice and a dark look crosses his face.

Sophie looked up at Kaito, then back to Rakkaus, she could sense tension and got quiet.

"Do something reckless and it'll be the last thing you do" The blind dragon hisses through clenched teeth, balling his fists, he was very protective of his daughter.

Her eyes flashed to the boy walking by and she glared at him for awhile. A small black and white bird landed on her shoulder, and her attention soon shifted away from him, even pretending to have taken no notice.

Hunter scowled when the stranger spoke, shocked by the lifelike way his face moved. "Yeah right. Metal doesn't live and move and speak. You're a highly practiced metal bender with metal armor," he insisted as he crossed his arms. A metal being seemed too unrealistic to him to believe.
Hawk chuckled nervously and stepped in to intervene. "Pardon my brother's abruptness... We're just curious to know ah, what exactly you are," he tried to explain, though he couldn't help but feel unnerved by Praetorus's impressive size and flashy eyes.

Bell's eyes grew round. "Whoa - you size shift? As in, you can make yourself super tiny like an ant or really big like an elephant? That's so cool!" she yelped, giving a little bounce just for punctuation. "I can't make me big or small, but I can shift into big and small things. Like this!" In a poof of light, Bell shifted into a pigeon and fluttered in a few circles around Loki, then changed forms into a colorful sheep and bounced on her hooves a bit. "Isn't it cool?" she said, though it only came out as an enthusiastic bleat.

Kaito furrowed his brows. "I'm not doing anything reckless. But I'm concerned for her safety. I understand you care for her, but I hope you aren't putting her in unnecessary danger," he explained carefully as he studied Rakkaus.
Yucca pursed her lips and looked between them, feeling the tension as well. "Kaito, don't mess with this guy. I don't like the vibes he's giving. Just let it slide," she murmured near his ear.

{Praetorus tilts his head curiously. He kneels to match their height}
"Metal...Bender? What am I? I am an Akhetian. Oh, actually, does that name...mean anything to you? We don't come to the physical plane all to often, so not many will know of us."

Cayden walked a few more steps, then abruptly stopped and walked backwards until he he could squint into the shadows at the stranger. "Hey... What's a girl like you doing here? Shouldn't you be like, sleeping?" he questioned with a frown as he studied her. //There's a bird on her shoulder...//

"Yup, that's it" Loki watched pigeon Bell and then sheep Bell, //Those are quite the colors...I didn't think her clothing would do that when she shifted// she listened to the sheep bleat. "I don't speak sheep, but..." she shifts, shrinking to the size of an average house cat.

Rakkaus snorts, "Life is filled with danger, if I try and protect her from everything, I'd go mad" he relaxes his posture and tone. "She needs experience, no matter how harsh it might come, this world will eat you alive if you can't fight back"

"Gotta roll with the punches" Sophie pipes up, balling her small hands into fists and bouncing them. "I'm a rough an tough dragon, no worries Kaito" she smiles up at him.

Her attention turned back to him he speaking softly she answered with something rather strange. "The moon is full tonight, and I must not sleep." Her voice was soft as well her movements. She got up away from the shadows and headed towards the edge on town. Walking right by Cayden, now that she had stepped into some light, her long dark hair was revealed as well a sword on her hilt.

Hawk subconsciously took a step back when Praetorus knelt down, awed by the powerful being. "You're... clearly not from around here," he concluded after a moment of thought, managing a brief smile. "I've never seen anyone like you... Akhetians. I'm Hawk, and my brother is Hunter," he introduced.
Hunter stepped forward to stand beside his brother. "You sure act nice for someone as powerful as you," he remarked, probably trying to act tough. He wouldn't admit it, but he was unnerved by Praetorus now that he was close enough to see how large the Akhetian was.

Bell made a sheep gasp and quickly shifted back, then crouched to study the suddenly tiny Loki. "Awww! You're so cute!" she squealed. She couldn't resist patting her on the head like she would a cat. "Are you still strong when you're this small? You could be super tiny but throw a big rock around!" Bell said.

Kaito's body relaxes when Rakkaus supposedly calmed down. "I understand your train of thought," he admitted, sparing a smart look at Yucca, who huffed and bounced off his shoulder to flutter beside him.
When Sophie spoke, Kaito chuckled and knelt down to her level. "That's right, I know you're tough. If any bad guys come after you, you show them who's boss," he encouraged, ruffling her hair with a hand and giving her a wink.

{Praetorus chuckles at the boys' nervousness.}
"Of course I'm nice. Power is no excuse to act like a jerk. If more people were to share that belief, this world would be in much better shape. And yes, I'm not native to this place. But, I take it you are? Native to this city I mean."

Cayden scowled at the girl's strange comment. "Is that a riddle or something?... Hey, wait!" he started after her surprised and angered by the way she seemed to ignore him. "Hey, you need to help me! No one's accepting my money and I need a place to sleep!" he stated.

Loki's face heats up when Bell pets her, she shifts back to her regular size. "No, my strength matches my sizes I shift to" she rubs her head

Rakkaus huffed, still trying to calm himself down, he didn't like Kaito or Yucca. He didn't like many people or dragons. And he started to walk, with his cart, "I won't repeat myself Sophie"

Sophie smiles up at Kaito, "Won't you come with us? We're on an adventure" she whispers the last part with a grin

Hunter rolled his eyes. "Whatever that's supposed to mean."
Hawk seemed to take more interest in what Praetorus said. "I... can respect that. You're a lot different than most people here. Yeah, though not to this part of the city... We haven't been home in a few days," he commented as he lowered his gaze.

{Praetorus blinks a few times, catching his downward gaze.}
"You haven't been home in a few days? What's wrong with your home?"

Bell leaned back when Loki shifted until she sat back on her rear, arms loose around her knees. She craned her neck to look up at her, trying to imagine what it'd be like to be a human but to see everything from below. "Whoa... How big can you make yourself? she queried excitedly as she hopped onto her feet. "I wanna see!"

Kaito glanced up at Rakkaus, then met Sophie's gaze with a grin. "Of course I will. I love adventures," he declared. The male stood and took Sophie by the hand. "Lead the way, captain!"
Yucca growled and facepalmed. "I swear, you're gonna get yourself killed defying him like that! Don't make me yap some sense into you," she muttered as she flew after them. "Sophie, didn't your old man say Kaito can't come?"

"Ah so it goes." She responded not turning to look at the boy. She stopped by the gate leading out of town. "Following a strange person is not wise of you. Though if you wish, I'm heading to a place of my ancestors." She stated while starring out into a desolate wasteland. Her eyes fixed on a certian point, though even with the light of the moon, there seemed to be nothing out there. The bird on her shoulder shook it's feathers and maybe a loud 'caw' before flying off.

Hawk looked up quickly and blinked a few times. "Nothing's wrong. We're just out on a small--" He cut off when Hunter elbowed him in the ribs.
"Shut up and leave the guy alone; he doesn't care," he muttered before turning to stalk off, though he stopped to study something at the vendor's booth.
Hawk considered his brother's statement, then looked back up at the Akhetian. "I-If you don't mind me asking, where are you from?"

Loki tipped her head, "Hmm, I don't know" her face only grew more red, "Honestly, I find it uncomfortable and embarrassing to be bigger than normal" she taps her claws together, a sheepish smile on her face. "I've never tried to see how big I can get, I'm too shy"

Sophie bounced excitedly on her heels and started after Rakkaus, "Hmm, I didn't hear Rah say that" she answers Yucca, "Don't worry, he's a grump, but you'll grow to love him" she smiles. "He's just very protective of family"

"Wha-- Your ancestors?" Cayden replied in confusion. He stopped when he noticed the wasteland beyond her, and the bird's caw sent a shiver up his back. "What are you talking about? You aren't making any sense!" The boy reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her to make her face him. "Listen, I'm a prince and I need some place suiting to stay! I am -not- sleeping on the streets or out there," he insisted as he studied her face.

{Praetorus gives a worried look before standing to his full height.} "I am from the Mountain of Light. That's the name your kind gave to our dimension. It's a world of pure energy and is the source of our power."

Bell stuck out her bottom lip in disappointment. "Aww, why not? It'd be cool. Hey, if I shift to my biggest, biggest form, will you make yourself bigger? Please?" she asked, clasping her hands together and giving Loki the puppy eyes.

Kaito watched Sophie respond, then gave Yucca a haughty "you heard her" look and kept following her.
The fairy huffed and put her hands on her hips. "Ugh, you two are unbelievable. If something goes wrong, I have nothing to do with it," she puffed as she followed after them.
Once they had caught up to Rakkaus, Kaito cleared his throat awkwardly. "So uh... Rakkaus, where are we going next?"

"Mountain of Light?..." Hawk repeated slowly. "I've never heard of it... It's another dimension? As in, not even from here, this physical place?" The boy frowned as he tried to make sense of the Akhetian's response, though he had hardly considered the concept of multiple dimensions.
Hunter scowled at Praetorus from the corner of his eye. //Load of nonsense... If he takes these jokes too far, I'm dragging Hawk out of here.//

Loki looked around, hesitant, "Hmm, I don't know" she ffelt her stomach swarm with anxiety. "I don't really want to, Bell, I don't like to get big. Small is fine and fun, but big is a no"

Rakkaus hummed, "Wherever the road takes us" he answers, "We don't have a home anymore, so we're looking to make a new one" he turns his sightless gaze to Kaito. "How about you? Surely you're up to something?"

She glared darkly at him, and her hands shifted in black claws, much like a birds. She reach for her sword and brought the tip of it to his face. "I know, Prince Cayden.... correct? Child I do not possess the means to give you what you desire. And I'd suggest you be careful about blabbering such information." She leaned in towards his ear and whispered. "It's not taken so well around here."

Bell stared up at Loki miserably, then gave in and slumped her shoulders. "Okay..." Her gaze wandered over the sand a moment, and then she hopped over go another shell peeking out and unburied it with her toe. "Found another one! Oh, but I already have a white one. Hey, ca you help me find a bag?" Bell asked Loki, already forgetting about her saddened mood.

{Praetorus nods.}
"Yes. Exactly. It's a different plane of existence that consists of pure energy. I am able to create this form by manipulating that energy between dimensions to affect the physical world. Put simply, I freely put energy into systems and take it out to build this form, by altering the phases of matter and carrying out chemical reactions."

"Nomads, huh? Not the worst way to live," Kaito commented as he watched Rakkaus. He smiled and unsheathed a sword from his hip and brandished it, careful to keep it away from Sophie and any other people. "Yucca and I are adventuring! Exploring new lands, fighting villains, and trying new foods!" he declared proudly. He sheathed his sword again. "Guess you and I have similar missions. Traveling together might benefit the both of us, and our companions."

Loki let out a breath of relief, then she nodded, "Sure, I can help you look for it. Does it have anything on it that would make it stick out?" she asks

"Mmm sounds interesting" Rakkaus smirks, he was going to say more when Sophie cut him off

"That's so cool!" Her red eyes are bright, "I don't under-sand your big words, but I have a feeling we will have lots of fun!" she moves and climbs up onto the cart Rakkaus is pulling. "Off on a new adventure with awesome friends!" she grins goofily

Cayden froze at the sight of the blade pointing toward his face. He swallowed nervously as the stranger spoke to him, looking back and forth between her blade and her electric blue eyes. "D-don't you dare hurt me," he croaked, keeping a grip on her wrist for fear that letting go would allow her more freedom to attack him.

Though Praetorus's explanation flew past Hunter, Hawk listened with round eyes. "I think I see it... So this body of yours is merely a host, but you yourself are made up of energy? Or something else entirely?" he queried.

Bell shook her head. "I don't have any bag. I need to get a new one. Let's check the forest!" she suddenly announced, grabbing Loki's hand and rushing toward the treeline with the size shifter in tow.

Kaito grinned. "I'm sure we will! We have the best adventuring team ever!" he declared, to which Yucca rolled her eyes. The fairy sat on his should and tucked her wings in neatly.
Kaito let his gaze wander until it settled on the cart Rakkaus was pulling. "Say, what are you bringing with you?"

{Praetorus smiles warmly} "Yes, exactly, now you're getting it. If this form were to perish, I would simply rebuild it. You mentioned something earlier about metal bending. I'm not exactly sure what that is, but I imagine that it is similar."

"You should of stayed home....." Taking the point of the sword, she brought it under his chin and studied him with a rather blank expression. A Raven land nearby and cawed, later being joined by a magpie who intern did the same. "Twelve.... the Raven croans and my time is being spelt on the ground like a cask of red wine. Wasteful." She pulled sword away and stood up straight, closing her eyes to think.

Loki pursed her lips and ran along with Bell, "Oh dear" she whispers, "What if there are bears or tigers in the forest?" she questions worriedly. "We could get eaten"

Sophie giggled and sat down properly on top of the cart.

"Mostly stuff to make more potions, but some of it is sheets and other fabrics. To help disguise us and to keep the sun off our backs when we rest. Then there's food too" Rakkaus answers, "Dry food, like jerky"

Hawk nodded slowly. "So, in a way, you're invincible." At the Akhetian's question, the boy raised a palm and a stream of metal twirled up his wrist into his hand, summoned from one of his many pockets. He moved his fingers around as the metal weaved around and between his fingers in intricate dances. "Yeah, metal bending. It's a rare form of element manipulation where we can liquefy metal and reshape it into whatever we want. The more details, though, the more concentration it takes," he explained.

Cayden would've retorted, but he caught his breath as she placed the blade tip under his chin. He let out an abrupt breath once she removed it, and he rubbed his chin tenderly. He kept his other hand on the hilt of his own weapon. The prince eyed the girl distrustfully. "Who are you?"

{Praetorus squints at Hawk's demonstration.} "Hm. I see, you're taking advantage of the metal's atomic close packing and its malleability to make it reshape..."
{Praetorus kneels again and puts out its hand. A portion of it begins to glow white-hot as molten metal begins to do similar dances on his palm.}
"While I use a combination of thermal and kinetic energy to manipulate the atoms any way I wish. However, I need to melt it first. That is fascinating. I am curious, however, what is your solution for manipulating stone, as its physical properties are vastly different?"

Bell giggled. "No silly, there aren't any bears in the jungle! I think. I don't see em here. But if a tiger comes out, I'll talk to him with my cougar form," she figured confidently. She stopped rubbing once they stepped into the undergrowth, and she let go of Loki's hand. "Too bad bags don't grow on bushes... Maybe there's a village that has some," she ventured as she wandered through the ferns, occasionally getting slapped in the face by low branches or hanging vines.

Kaito nodded. "Smart We don't think to pack much before we head into the desert," he admitted with a small laugh. "At least, I can last pretty long in my dragon form without food and water. I just pig out once we reach a new town."
Yucca huffed. "Yeah, but -I- don't have a huge stomach like you do. I get hungry whenever we don't eat before leaving a town."
"How about you guys? You're dragons, so you should have big stomachs," Kaito said as he studied the two.

She opened her eyes bent down to meet him at his level. "I'm a light that shines on tomorrow. I guess I go by many names, none matter to me." She stopped a moment and swallowed. "You're looking for a name? Call me Faith."

Hawk let the metal solidify in his palm so he could watch Praetorus manipulate his own metal, though in a different way. "That's impressive." He shrugged. "I'm... not sure. I imagine there's a way, but I haven't made the effort to try it. Whenever I do try, I start to feel overwhelmed and give up. The properties are just too different."

Loki didn't feel to confident in Bell's words, but she followed the girl regardless. "Uh, use your hands to brush aside the branches and vines, so they stop slapping you" she suggests softly

Sophie broke her disguise, lifting up her wings/arms, "I'm a tiny dragon! I don't have a big tummy!" she giggles, "I don't eat much"

"I'm use to moving slow and preserving my energy" Rakkaus says, "But usually, I fill up before leaving" he shakes his head, fighting back irritation, he knew Sophie broke her disguise and they weren't out of the city yet. As someone who was cautious, it drove him a little crazy when Sophie threw it out the window.

Cayden stared at "Faith" with wide and confused eyes. He chewed his lip. "So... will you help me or not?" he asked after a long silence.

"No" Faith answered confidently, more birds pilled nearby and it started to get louder and louder as the conversation prolonged. "I have to go" She stated and without letting him have time to respond she morphed into a wispy bird-like spirt, similar in color to the magpies.

{Praetorus allowed his own metal to return to his palm}
"You just give up? I thought it was indicative of your species to have nearly unending perseverance. After all, if you could, you could do so much with it. From building large, sturdy structures to synthesizing gemstones, which I understand are quite valuable in this world."
{He points to the large gem on his chest.}
"This is pure Corundum, or as you might know it, Ruby. I keep it on me in case I do something wrong that requires me to pay for something, like breaking stuff on accident."

"Yeah--ow--I'm trying but I--ow-- can't see them until they're right--ow." She emerged from the ferns onto the bank of a stream, twisting around the roots of trees and leading somewhere into the jungle. "Oooh, that's cool. We should follow it," Bell said, giving Loki an adventurous smile.

Kaito chuckled at Sophie when she shifted back to her original form. He didn't seem to notice anything wrong with it. "Well then, it's a good thing you're bringing food. But if I were you, I'd eat it all by the first day!" he said with a laugh.
"Yeah, we know," Yucca grumbled. She flew over to Rakkaus. "Just a fair warning, you may what to keep a padlock on your food stores while he's around..."
