raphael is annoying as hell to draw half right
hes got long legs & a long neck and that makes him a major a.ss pain to draw big enough for decent detailing and still fit him in the canvas.
i love drawing my pureblood unicorns but theyre annoying as f**k to do because of their proportions. especially old purebloods (& halfbloods too) because they keep getting taller and slightly bigger as they age x_x
i never draw von or wright partly because theyre suuuper annoying to get right--

wright is like.... 2I-22 hh or so? and von's only about a hand shorter (maybe half). horses that tall are just fu.ckin impossible to draw with decent detail on these tiny canvases lol. ughhhhhhhhhhhh
*for anyone who doesnt know horse junk, equine heights are measured in hands which are 4 inches. (i cant remember how many cm off the top of my head)
and their height isnt measured from hoof to head, it's measured from hoof to withers (the bump behind their neck) so a horse that's 2Ohh or more is really fu.ckin TALL lol

im glad i decided for marc & marissa to be shorties (I4.2 & I4.I hh respectively) their shortness makes them less annoying to draw.
i love raph as much as i do marcus & marissa yet you cant tell cause i dont draw him that much. rip.
