The was starting to come up and Jim was outdoors taking care of the usual chores. After saddling up lieutenant he took to his cows guiding them into a new pasture. As usual he kept a groggy look, tired dark eyes and a face with the most distinct frown.

(Been awhile since I've roleplay, very rusty :'D

Middusk was messing with his magic again, and it wasn't his usual shapeshifting or solid light. Nirai watched him skeptically.
He snapped his fingers imitating how his mom did it, a small portal opened up.
"Hey, you did it! but it's a little small..." His sister remarked.
He sighed and focused on making it bigger. It grew a little, the size only big enough for his arm. "Well, you could get your foot stuck?" He shrugged. She walked away, bored, and he sighed again, snapping his fingers to try and close it. He messed up, let's just say that. It widened too fast for him to react and he fell in.

Jim who was while still at work looked and felt bored. To pass sometime he lit up a cigarette and went for a small break. Not to long a strange portal opened up and Jim raised his brow. Taking his gun out he stalked closer to get a better view.

Middusk dropped onto the ground with a thud. "Oh man... what did I do......" He groaned. He got up to look at where he was, which wasn't home, he figured.

As soon as Middusk emerged from the portal. Jim clenched his teeth and is at the site of the young boy. //I thought the war taught these bastards to stay in a hole.// Cautiously he approached further and pointed his gun towards Middusk's snowy white hair. "Who the hell are you" He growled, while his gun made a 'clicking' noise.

"Ah!" He yelped in surprise at the gun, oh man, this was some deep trouble. "Uh, my name is...." //Is this a world where names like mine are common??? is he human?? Ah heck, just use the fake name.// "Danny..." He finished. "Um, do you /really/ have to point that at me?" He pointed to the gun.

"I don't think that'll be happening, if they heard I let some magic kid loose, it'd be hell for me." Jim stepped in more. "You shouldn't of opened your blue portal kid. Now you're the one in question."

"Um, magic? hahaha, no, no magic herre." Oh man, this was gonna take all his time with his uncle to fib off. "You see, I was pushed through a portal, made by someone else.... And now, I'm kinda, stuck..." He fidgeted with his hands, ready to pull up a quick screen to shield against a bullet. //oh man, please believe me please believe me please believe me//

"Nice try" Jim eyes lit up and seeing such a strange boy disgusted him so much he didn't wait for a response and pulled the trigger.

His eyes widened and time seemed to slow as he held his hands out and a dome-like blue glowing shield enveloped him last minute. He gasped because of the amount of adrenaline that rushed through him at the moment. "OK, ok, oKAY." He shifted to his true form towering over Jim. "I just want to leave." English was too hard, so he resorted to Loreillian in his natural form. "Is that too much to aSK?" He kept the shield up for fear of another gunshot.

Jim fell back when the gunshot was deflected. And when his eyes landed on Middusk there was a look of murder written all over his face. "Well you made a mistake 'Danny' well I wonder if that's even your real name." He lunged forward at Middusk at an attempt to tackle him towards the ground. The cows around started to grow restless and it wouldn't be too long till they would start a stampede.

Middusk flicked his tail towards Jim, knocking him back again, his light fell and he looked around for a place to run to. He started running to a spot in the center of the herd, his ears and feathers flattened. It probably would've been easier to shift into a mouse or rabbit at that point.

The cows start rush around in panic, Quickly rolled to side and pulled out his gun again firing another shot at the Vriska. Then he proceed to mount lieutenant in order to pursue Middusk further.

Middusk ducked when he heard the shot. He glanced around to try and think of something to hide as. He quickly shifted into a rabbit, brown spreading over the white as he continued to run. Colors were harder to do last minute.

At Middusk's transformation Jim stopped his horse and look around wildly for his target. /Damn kid is something from hell/ He cussed inwardly before spotting an unusual rabbit. He squinted and again aimed his gun firing.

The dirt flew up as another shot was fired, nearly hitting him. Middusk scrambled out of the way. //oh my one oh my one oh my onnnee// He decided to stop and put up a shield again, this one much stronger since he had more time, even a little.
He shifted back to his human form and tried to focus on his home, Loreillis. He snapped his fingers willing a portal to open. It didn't want to appear, not yet at least.

Jim put lieutenant in a full gallop heading straight for Middusk. More shots were fired and more cows began to scatter. // Get back here you little bastard//

//nopenopenopenopenopenopenope// His magic held up, thank the One, but, the gosh, darn, portal, wouldn't, opEN! He snapped his fingers and did whatever he could to try and open it.
Finally, he set his hand on the ground and will the light around him to open a portal. And it obeyed, but it was tiny, again.

//Damn it, I'll just have to keep this going until he gets tired.// Jim thought, and as his horse came by at full speed he took the bottom of his gun and made a swing towards Middusk's head.

Middusk growled and snapped again, the portal opening below him, he fell in, not to sure about getting stuck at the new spot he grabbed the edge to keep from completely falling.

At the sight of the sudden hole the ground, Lieutenant halted causing Jim to fly forward off the mount towards the portal. he almost went completely through but caught hold of Midd's leg. //Shoot//

"HeyyyyYYY Let go! I have no idea what this thing'll do, it's just a portal so let goo, and I'll drop after you. Just not at the same time!" His mother had always told her children to never go in a portal at the same time, she always said there were consequences, but never said what.

Jim looked below towards the blue(?) void. "Yeah like I'd ever trust-" His voice cut out as his hands started to slip away from the boy's leg. The moment he started to descend all time seemed to slow and his eyes widened as the world above him started to fade away.

"Ah heck.." He muttered as his own fingers slipped, the portal starting to close as he fearfully looked down. "This isn't good, this really isn't good!"

Eventually Jim closed his eyes and accepting the fact that he was probably going to land on his face. His body started to feel weird almost to the point that'd make him nauseous.

Meanwhile Harper had just finished her chores and was out mounting an old stallion name target. After heading to the field where her dad was she saw all the cows scattered. It was in complete chaos and her father was nowhere to be seen. Lieutenant was also their all tack up and with no rider. Harper grumbled at the sight of the mess, as well as being rather confused to where Jim had wandered.

Middusk closed his eyes and let whatever happen, happen. He prayed that nothing bad would happen though. Instinctively he partially locked his form before he would land. Any pain would probably reveal what he was, but keep him in that form mostly. Shifting would require undoing it though.
He kinda drifted off into blackness, not even feeling his body hit the ground.

Jim fell flat on his face and lifted his face. For some reason he saw himself on the ground right next to him. //Well I must be dead// He growled inwardly. // Where dis that kid go, maybe I can get him before the take my soul to hell.//

Middusk sat up, holding his head. //That hurt..// "Oww.. Well that's not right." He immediately noticed the change in his voice, and looked over at the strange human he had been running from. Ok, that's himself. //wAIT WHAT// "Well, y'know what, I was warned about it, this is what happens when you mess with magic without supervision." //I am so dead...//

Jim scrambled back when he say his own body move and speak, instinctually he reached for his gun but he found none. "What the heLL?!?" He yelled before biting his lip. After hearing himself talk something was definitely off. He look down at himself examining his clothes then turned his gaze towards Middusk, or err himself. "What is this? What did you do?" Jim hissed while grabbing Middusk by the collar.

"Hey, hey, HEY, I didn't do anything! /You're/ the one that didn't let go of my leg. I told you! I have no idea what it did, or what else it would've done!" The two were the same height, so his grabbing of Middusk didn't intimidate him too much, but the blue-green grass around them did. In fact, they were on one of the further out, but wider walkways to the Leyoth. "Oh no, oohh, no, I am so dead."

"You bet you are, /you're/ the one who opened the portal and /you're/ the reason we're here,,,, like this." Jim seethed through his teeth and took his fist towards Midd's stomach, at an attempt to slug him.

Middusk took a sidestep, he had his memories, and training, but no powers. "Okay, whatever, but I have an idea on who could help us. You don't recognize this place, do you?"

(Meanwhile harp is in in much confusion chasing cows and also somewhat peeved that her dad bailed on his chores

"Why the hell would I?" Jim took one step back and straightened his posture. Hey eyed the landscape around then shot a glare back towards Middusk. "Ok 'Danny' you better, or I'll kill you myself right now."

He looked at Jim, or well, himself, wondering if he could. "Ok, I will, I kinda need you with me anyway. This is my home, and the people here don't like outsiders, you'll do fine, but you don't know the language or the customs. And the bigger issue, is everybody knows /me/. We're pretty high up, so getting to my home shouldn't be too much of a pain, but we shouldn't be seen. I can pull off Vriska, you can't." He took control, ah, that felt nice. //Man, I should try doing this with Uncle, ah wait, he'd probably wring my neck...// He subconsciously rubbed his neck while thinking so.

Having no other choice really but to go off what Midd was saying. "Ok I don't care if the speak a different language I'll just ignore them." He grumbled. "You still neglect to tell me /how/ you're going to fix this. I don't like being in the dark, so you better tell me now or you're on your own."

(oof heads up I'm going to be leaving in like less than half an hour)
