i wouldnt say your time spent learning it one handed was wasted though because i feel like that would be beneficial.

although i dont play any instruments (ive got some interest in seeing how well i could do piano, guitar or drums but ive yet to mess with any beyond randomly screwing with my dad's guitars, electric keyboard & my brother's guitar for like a few seconds at a time YEARS ago) i view playing those the same way i view making art, which is "every thing you do helps." like, every time you draw, that strengthens your art abilities at least a teeny bit.
