This drawing is a bit of an exaggeration of course, sometimes this stuff is funny and sometimes it gets annoying real fast depending on the person. Jokes are fine but some people actually believe these LOL, and then wanna decide for me what my own characters are and aren't
(I try to make Fiery likeable and not have "BEING GAY UWU" as his only characteristic. His flamboyance has no correlation to his sexuality, he just likes being like that. I will say that he does like girls and guys, but I don't want to be annoying with that fact because that is not the main thing about him. Sorry this got pretty lengthy but I thought I would clear this up.)

Long story short you can make all the dumb jokes you want as long as you don't get annoying with it or take it seriously and force it upon my character *ahem certain friend from school ahem*

nah you dont sound stuck up, not to me. i can understand exactly where youre coming from, it would pi.ss me off if i had people trying to decide stuff about my chars lol.
it's like no, i basically put pieces of myself into these chars, /i/ decide what's what for them, not someone else.

It must be horrible to see your own character that you love being simplified to just one word.
It´s pretty much one of my greatest fears when it comes to my characters, that people will only focus on something so trivial that is their s.exuality.

In your case they are assuming the s.exuality of your character from their personality wich is Way Worse.
I was going to make a long rant about toxic masculinity and stereotipes and why "uwu gay" fangirls are the reason we can´t have nice things but hey this is your post I not going to make it my own lol.

Yeah. It's a little silly people like to stereotype even characters now just because of their appearance, and like you previously said, the worse part is that some people GENUINELY believe these aspects and themes they've mentally slapped onto something they barely know about, as well as when it isn't even theirs to begin with. The jokes typically start out innocent enough, but as time goes by more and more people begin to believe what a rumor that wasn't even a rumor to begin with. It seems people tend to solely focus on what who is into or what who likes, rather than their actual personality and purpose. Again, it's silly, and VERY annoying. (I've experienced this before many times, and sometimes makes me think why make characters in the first place if everyone's just going to ignore the entire being. Personally, a big downer to say the least.)
