so i've been in this big rp for two years, and in the first half, stuff kinda screwed up.. a lot
we essentially lacked a fourth wall, characters were highly aware of our existence, chaos was a constant thing and said chaos was caused by us, the people rping, "The Players". and a few specific characters started a witchhunt against the physical forms that the players had in the rp world
they technically killed most of the players, but nothing changed due to obviously not really being dead, and the whole place went nuts. so, the players reset the timeline/world everything took place in, starting from square one.
void knight is #kaivale, from the world before it was reset. he barely survived the reset via getting trapped in the empty void left where the world/timeline was.
the way the world was reset was with a reset bomb, which, uh. blew the right half of his face off. (seen in first drawing in the tag, #thevoidknight)

void knight remained trapped in the void for months with little to no food or water, and he was almost dead when plasma knight (sorta pre-reset puffster) found him and then rescued him.
pre-reset puff and pre-reset kai were a part of that player witchhunt, in fact puff started it i think-
ok but anyway
being in the strange null space for so long did weird things to void knight's body and also screwed him up mentally
a strange mist is what's keeping him from just bleeding out and dying from the gaping hole in his head, and he's figured out how to control said mist and battle with it
his personality is much colder and rlly sociopathic in comparison to the usual kai, and void knight also has a burning hatred for the players, who still exist in the post-reset world
more specifically he wants me/my player/ #xiobat dead because uuhhmm
I2 year old me gave him the worst edgy rollercoaster of a backstory you'll ever see and it screwed void knight up a lot physically and mentally
