Guess we just gotta wait for Noir.

The sun shone bright in the sky on the morning of the tournament. The competitors had just begun checking in at the front desk. Vaigh, Cajon and Acerahl were making their way towards the front desk. Nel had already gone ahead to save a good seat for her and Cajon.

"Make sure you don't push yourself to hard..." Yoni says to Dev outside of the sign up desk. "Hey Yoni this is s tounament I'm gonna get beat up a bit. Don't worry!" Dev smiles and pats Yoni's shoulder. "Hey you sure you don't wanna seat so you can watch me?" Dev says as he looks towrds the sign up desk. Yoni shrugs. "Oh no I'm fine I really don't want to be in a load area... I'll just watch you on TV." Dev puts his hands in his pockets. "Well okay then. Make sure you cheer me on!" Yoni smiles. "I will." Dev gives Yoni a quick hug. "I'll see you soon them." Dev head towrds the desk. "Good luck Dev!" Yoni shouts out to him. Dev waves back and walks up to the sign up desk.

Dev see's the two girls. "Huh wonder whats up with them..." He says to himself. As he approachs the front desk he notices Cajon and is surprized to see he's also a Namekian. "That's odd..." He gives Cajon a quick look the looks at the list to try and find his name.

*then

"Vaigh Desai has arrived." He says mostly to himself as he checks off his name. He takes a look around at the competition as they begin to gather. He stands beside Cajon with his hands in his pockets. They both seemingly take notice of the other being who's appearance is similar to Cajon's.

Before Vaigh and Cajon are able to discuss the matter two hooded girls approach to sign in. "My apologies. Excuse us for holding up the line." He offers a friendly smile as he moves aside.

Dev reads the names on the list. "Hm a lot of people wonder which one I'll be up aginst first..." Dev feels a slight chill go up his back thinking about something then he checks his name and leans aginst a wall.

Dev wonders to himself if he should introduce himself to other fighters. "I wonder if that other Namekian is a fighter."

Vaigh turns to Cajon. "You noticed it to huh? This tournament has some rather interesting participants this year. I'm getting fired up just thinking about it. I've been training for the past ten years for this moment. This will be my debut in the Martial Arts world." Turning to Acerahl "I wish you luck but just know I have no intentions on losing." He smiles, eyes full of determination

Dev let's out a sigh. And looks around. "I've been training a lot so hopfully it all pays off in this tournament. I'm not gonna lose this." He thinks to himself. As Dev turns his head towrds the group. He can't help but wonder where the other Namekian came from or what's he doing here. "Eh I better not let it worry me to much." He ichs his arm. "Why am I so ichy??"

"I am indeed. The name's Vaigh. Vaigh Desai. It's a pleasure to meet you both. And, whereas it isn't customary to introduce yourselves to all the other fighters, I certainly don't mind the good willed gesture. Might I ask your names as well?"

Dev perks up hearing Cajon say hello loudly. He walk over. "Uh hi there.. Couldn't help but notice your friend here. He says to Acerahl as he turns his gaze to Cajon.

Dev turns around to see Anela. "Oh hello there...The names Dev." <('__')> He smiles kinda oddly.

Vaigh smiles, laughing lightheartedly as he watches Anela beside Neana. "You have a rather lively friend."

Dev stands kinda awkword. He notices Vaigh and can almost feel some strange energy from him. "Theres something about that guy... There's really a lot of instrising people here." <('__')>

Dev looks down to see Acerahl. "Hello there."He smiles showing his sharp teeth. "I asume you're a fighter?"

"That must be nice. I'm an only child but I've always had a friend that's been like a younger sister to me. She's actually here today in the stands. Perhaps we'll meet again after the tournament is over. It was nice meeting you Neana. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to prepare. " Vaigh heads off by himself to meditate before the tournament begins.

Vaigh runs into Cajon on his way to find Acerahl.

"Couldn't be better actually. There are alot of tough opponents entering. I'm looking forward to testing my current strength against some worthy adversaries. I still wish you were entering the tournament with us, but I understand. We've learned alot from one another both in and out of combat. I'll show the results of our training. So you and Nel can sit back and enjoy the show."

"She'll be fine. You and I both know she's quite capable on her own, so long as she stays focused. Oooohhhh" Vaigh throws a sly grin as he nudges Cajon with his elbow "You gave her a gift huh? You sly dog. I'm sure she'll love it since it came from you. I'm proud of you bro."

"Seriously. She'll be fine." Vaigh tells him earnestly. "I'll see you after the first round is over."
Vaigh reunites with Acerahl as they make their way to the arena for the opening ceremony. They're lead to a room backstage with a few other fighters as they are instructed to wait until they begin introducing the fighters.

Fanfare erupts as the famous band kicks things off with their hit song. This impressive display is followed by complete silence.

"Ladies and gentlemen please rise as we welcome this year's final roster for the Tenth Annual World Martial Arts Tournament. Without further ado this time-honored tournament steeped in tradition shall commence."

All the participating fighters emerge from the four corners of the arena, gathering on the main fighting stage.

"After emerging victorious in preliminary matches across the country. These fighters on stage before you have proven themselves capable of exceptional martial arts feats. As such their individual skill as martial artists shall be displayed in full before the world, here today. We ask that all warriors and the viewing audience turn their attention to the screen overhead as the Round One Tournament Matchups are displayed"
A jumbotron begins displaying an elaborate video leading up to the tournament matchups.

The screen displays the following matchups:

Stallone vs Jordan
Bannet vs Xalrons
Kairyu vs Dev
Anela vs Acerahl
Kishan vs Sasuke
Neana vs Vaigh
Brawly vs Renji
Azrael vs Kenpachi

"Round One of the tournament consists of sixteen fighters. and eight, one on one matches. Each fight will take place on the main stage in the order in which they appear on the screen before you. The rules of this tournament remain the same as in the previous nine tournaments. The winner of each match will be decided by the following conditions:
Ring-out
Forfeit
Incapacitation"
"Let's all give a round of applause to our sixteen fighters as the preparations are made for the first match of the day. Stallone vs. Jordan!"

All the participating fighters leave the stage and return to the waiting rooms backstage.

Dev's heart starts to pick up pase as he waits for his turn. He knows he has good skills but you never know what can happen in a fight. And Dev doesn't etend on losing. "Hey you've got this!" Dev looks at himself in a mirror. He's shirtless and he's wearing white lose pants with a blue belt. The throws a few punchs at the air. Dev lets out a sigh and starts to do a few stretchs.

Each fighter has their own private waiting room.

Vaigh sits alone in his waiting room. The sound on the television is off as the first match is soon to start. His face is emotionless though his mind is racing within. Azrael Asad. His teacher. The legendary martial artist that took him under his wing is returning to the world stage as he's making his own debut. It's been a year since he set out on his own and trained independently in preparation for this tournament. It's not a surprise to him to see his Master here, as they mutually agreed to meet at this tournament a year ago. This fact, however, does not diminish the gravity of this moment for him. He closes his eyes taking a deep breath. Smiling as he opens them. His blood is pumping as he's eager for his fight.

Yoni turns on the TV and see's that the first match is underway. Yoni's eyes are wide as she watchs the intense fight. "Wow... these fighters are really seroius.." Yoni starts to bite her nails. Worrying about Dev. "Well... Dev said not to worry.... Be carefull Dev..."

Vaigh stands shirtless before the mirrored wall, akin to those found in dance studios. He securely reties his dreadlocks, before brushing his facial hair preparing physical appearance until he's satisfied with his current look. He sits back down in time to observe the final moments of the first match as Stallone prevails over Jordan. A brief intermission is held before the second match between Bannet & Xalrons begins.

Dev walks back and forth in his room knowing his match will be next. Dev can hear the crowd with his keen hearing the crowd cheers as the second match goes on. Dev looks at his hand and cluches it into a fist. "I know I can control my powers now... but still." His hand lights up a bit then it goes away. His mouth is face looks stern but his eyes have the slightist amount of fear. "I'm part of this tournement becuase I'm a winner.. I won't let my fear of it happening again blind me from my goal..." One of the many reasons Dev became part of the tournement was to break out of his fear about using his powers. Dev was born with strange abililtiys and sometimes they could go out of control, but he's trained himself to control them but he's still a little nervos. Dev sits down and watchs the match trying to stay calm.

Yoni is eating a blueberry muffin while she watches the second match. "I think Dev's match is up next..." A small fox is on her lap. "Well we'll be cheering for Dev the fox says." Yoni smiles. "Yea..."

"Hmm maybe I should medatate untill my match begings..." Dev sits with his legs folded and closes his eyes.

(Oof sorry guys gotta head off to bed. xp But hey saturday is coming soon so hopfully we'll be free on that day and can finsh rping. ^-^)

Vaigh observes the two fighters techniques as their match draws to a close. His desire to fight grows with each passing second. The next match is between that mysterious being, that looks like Cajon. "I definitely felt something peculiar about him. He appears to possess some manner of suppressed power. It'll be quite interesting to see him fight, for myself." Vaigh thought to himself as the second match concluded.
