Crimson always had a hate for Nightmares after what they did to him, taking his family, his home and then been tortured and corrupted.

In the time Crimson was being raised by Omen, the boy only wanted Revenge, he push most things Omen tried to teach him that wouldn't help in his goals in eliminating Nightmares and one day kill Malice.

Crim was consumed by bitterness but as long as Omen was around to keep him I'm check the boy didn't do anything majorly crazy. That was until Omen left without saying anything and disappeared for nearly three years... In this time Omen was gone Crim mind only got worse, he eventually left the Palace and started to hunt down Nightmares, As time passes Crimson mind grew darker and darker and it down spiral more when he got 'Scarlet bane', a mysterious dark sword that speak to the one who holds her in their mind, she crave the blood of Nightmares and gets stronger the more that she kills. Crimson's is Blood bound to the sword so he could use her power but we're or who exactly Crim got Scarlet from even Omen don't know ( but he was certainly not happy that the boy has her when he found out. )

Crim took his obsession greater and travel to Dark Worlds, that should have been suicidal but he still did, but Unknown to Crimson that because of the Dark World energy his bracelets had a harder time keeping his corruption under control and it really mess with his head...

Crimson enjoy Killing Nightmares and he leaned how to do it slowly and painfully, one of the methods he used was, he knew how to impel a Nightmare to we're they we're paralyzed and couldn't get away, but keeping them alive he display them on pikes. Crim would use higher-ranked Nightmare to lure in lower Nightmares that could since a dying higher rank one, the lower would come in thinking they could get an easy power up from finishing off the higher Nightmare only to find it was a trap.

Crim has many other methods he used to hunt Nightmares, like another one was Crim has a special 'bell' he ether tide to one of his horns ( like in the picture) or somewhere else on him, Crim leaned from Omen about Light Eaters and that they are extremely sensitive to sounds, the bell he has rings with a very specific sound that will draw Nightmares to it...

at his peak of his insanity, Crim even used people as bait, his intentions were not to kill the people but to lure Nightmares. Crimson's was attempting a similar method when he kidnapped Mina, he was going to use her as bait for the other key Hunters but Hiiro show up.

Crimson's did the same thing with Fairfins, but he didn't hold the same mindset with them as people, to him if people got hurt it wasn't his intention but he just see it as collateral damage but for a Fairfin, Crim only view them as bait and to be used as that.

Crimson was eventually given the title 'Blood Sapphire' by the Nightmares because Nightmare will make a title for themselves or others if they are seen powerful enough. Crimson never gave his real name but the Nightmare who knew Crystal-gem Dragons knew his kind had titles for what ever gemstones they had so they got 'Sapphire', they did Blood for a few reasons, Crim is very red and red is the color of most creatures blood. The other is that Crim had a Bloodlust and at one point was completely crazy but effective

Crimson learned and developed ways in hunting Nightmares by himself, something that isn't recommended but he didn't care.
Crimson's used more armor in dark worlds, it's made from his magic. Some Crystal-gem Dragons can do more with their Earth Magic other than manipulate the Earth or make gemstones, some can take it further and manipulate the other elements and minerals in the Earth, Crim can make and manipulate from the Earth and that what makes his armor in his human form. Crim armor is flexible and very durable, he needed something he could move in but also be able to take some heavy hits. The chest piece is the most armor as Nightmares have a habit of using there chains to impel, his armor can stop a low rank Nightmare but not a alpha or ancient ( but it would be a bit harder for them )
His cap was awesome designs for fighting Nightmares as it's fire and ice resistant.

His close we're usually soaked and Staind with Nightmare Blood, making his name blood Sapphire even more true.

In this dark time of Crimson's, his corruption had the strongest hold on him, it didn't show much on his physical appearance other than his pupils glow red and we're fine slit and if he didn't have is gauntlets on his skin around his wrists would have white burn marks.

Crimson's would have falling even further if Omen wasn't finally let to find the boy, at that time the highest Nightmare he slain was an Alpha but Crim had track down an ancient and had plans on killing her but Omen found him first and try to talk the boy out of his crazy thinking, it didn't work at first and a fight happened between the two and something happened that scared Crim enough to back off.

Ones stuff cold off Omen/Judas told Crimson's he needed to stop what he was doing because it was destroying him and he was becoming just like the monsters he hated.

Crimson's got a little better one he stop going to the dark world but he was still pretty bad when he first met the key Hunters but he started to rethink things with his time with the candidates, and getting Revenge is no longer the only thing on his mind now and think about helping them and other
