I like to do a lot of symbolism or throw in little Easter eggs with my stuff and that including with my characters.
I tend to do some pretty deep meaning behind some of my OC and Catch is one of them. Without getting to involve with my personal life I'll keep it simple.

[ A special place in my heart]

I had the idea for Dreamcatcher a long time before I even drew a picture of him, but when I did finally make a picture it was in a pretty sad time in my life, I had been in a severe art block that I was in for almost two years because I was told I should stop drawing Dragon and fantastic things because I wasn't good enough and it would get me no we're in life, so I stopped drawing all together and in that time I pretty much felt dead inside. It took time but I finally said enough was enough and one of the first thing I made was Dreamcatcher, I took some extra paint I had and let my imagination go and the first Dreamer came to life on my canvas, I told myself I never let art block rule over me again like that, I still will get art block but I will doodle or tinker with stuff now. I learned that yes they're always be people better than you and you better then someone else, that just life but that what also make life an Adventure. I also learned that yes I can't live in a fantastic world but life without imagination is Bland and tasteless and that having an imagination is also a gift, I think sometimes as artist we forget this, we can get so caught up in Self Doubt or jealousy of other that we forget just how amazing it is to have our own imagination and the amazing things that can be done with it.

Catch was made from this and so I named him Dreamcatcher, what better way for the imagination to Express itself then in a Dream? And then the ability to Catch it?
Now enough about that stuff, let's get on to Catch in the RP world

the other meaning behind his name is like a dreamcatcher,
The night is full of both good and bad dreams. When a dream catcher is hung above the place where you sleep it moves freely in the night air and catches the dreams as they drift by. Catch was named Dreamcatcher for a similar reason, he try to stop bad dreams or as you know Nightmares

[ The Crescent Moon]

Catch symbol is the Crescent Moon, he know for the Crescent shaped moons horns he has and things seen throughout his wardrobes.

The Crescent Moon is a symbol of a new beginning and the same goes with Catch, Catch was the first of my boys I introduced in Skey, I made him much younger for the RP so he to could grow and learn next besides the other key Hunters.

Catch out of my boys is the only one who doesn't have a tragic backstory, he grew up in a loving family and really the worst thing that happened was he broke his arm and was afraid of heights but that because you don't need to always have a tragic backstory to make a character interesting and because for Catch his story is Skey.

( And because I foresight Catch having some of the worst struggles out of my boys and he has been the one who been raked over the coals and push in the mud the most and I predict more is to come for Catch but what a story without a little drama or trauma?)

[ A multi layer cake ]

Catch has always been a storytelling character, that was made clear with his first vision and the ones to follow, but that not the only story he has shared, for those who have read Skey through Catch you seen the present day Dreamer and then what happens when a Dreamer gets Nightmare syndrome, I was able to help guide Lilly for Weaver on his path to a Nightmare but I couldn't take Catch down that same road and so then I used him to introduced the Vaseterm with Catch being a Moon blood and soon it will be revealed why Soledormir wanted them to be wiped out, but I had to make Catch jump through those hoops to get to we're he at now and that a of old Dreamer one who learning to be a true Dreamer... Catch has indeed made a full circle, Dreamer, Nightmare, Moon blood, Dreamer.

This also makes Catch out of my boys have the most variety with appearance, original Catch, moon Blood Catch, Cataclysm/ Nightmare, dark Catch/ fussed, and Royal Catch.

Catch is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get.

[ adventure is out there!]

Catch actually likes to explore and travel to New place, as a kid and teen he like to read and hear stories about far off place and Amazing Adventures.
When Catch out looking for Eira he come across old ruins from time to time, unknown to him why he just run into them was because he was actually being draw to them, just like the one he found at Cielo that him, Weaver and Terra made into hide out, that letter was the place Catch had his first big vision.

Personality-wise Catch try to do what he thinks is right, he does have a big heart for others and try to put them first over himself, Catch is a close second compassionate out of my boys as Judas is first.
But he isn't perfect and still has a lot to learn.

[A creature of imagination]

Catch was also my first Dreamer I ever made and because of him I started to make different story. The Dreamer are special to me because they are a species design around my favorite thing, 'imagination' the ability of dream walking, multiple forms and Magic, the Dreamers were inspired by imagination. It's also why a Dreamer Pearl is also called a figments stone for figment of imagination.

When designing the Dreamers I Incorporated some of my favorite elements, their vibrant colors, you don't have to know me long to know I love the shiny and gemstones, my fascination with clouds and ribbons, and got to have those wings.

However Dreamer in color are different from my original Dreamers, within my own personal world I could make them what I want, they were as limited as my own imagination, but I knew that wouldn't work in an RP or with them in other words, it's to easy to abuse that much abilities and it would take the fun from other people or they get jealous, so I give the Dreamers limitations on their ability only so many forms, elementals, and summoning and within this new world revolve around Skey it works for the better.

This is something I have struggled with Catch a lot and is something I'm still learning on balancing him out, Catch was originally a multi shifter, but I scrap that early on in Skey as it would have given him to much even though each one of his forms had a symbol to them. Catch Dragon form was because of his connection to Victoria as her familiars are Dragons and it would have given yet another reason for Mal to hate Catch ( not that he needs any more help with that ) Catch winged lion form was a connection to his Royal side as his ancestors all had lion like forms and a 'cat is Catch symbol'. The wolf was because of Catch love of dogs and not only that but who he was inspired by was actually Urufu who originally had a wolf form to but I scrap that as well so none of this is no longer Canon but still fun to think about. In the end I made Catch a Summoner but I still am working on all what I should really let Catch be able to do exactly with him been a moon Blood.

[ Under lock and key ]

Catch out of my boys has the most handicaps and has been Nerf the most, most of this is all thanks to Cataclysm in him, the mix of Nightmare and silverbloods has really mess up Catch magic abilities and just his over all abilities, making him in some way my weakness of my boys but Catch has more potential than what he knows.

Out of my boys Catch is actually supposed to be the fastest, not only on foot but with teleporting, with Anna Catch can teleport more times in a row then any other of my characters in Skey, even more then Judas, out of my boys Crimson is the weakest in teleporting as he has no teleporting abilities except using portal stone.

[ Seal of approval ]

Catch is also my second strongest out of my boys in placing seals, thanks to Catch been a moon Blood Catch has ever strong seals and has used a level 12 seal before which is unheard of because Vaseterm can only go to level 10. Catch used a level 12 seal one time on Weaver to try and save him from the Nightmare syndrome unfortunately in order to save Weaver at that point Catch needed to do a level 15 seal... Despite that Catch was even able to place a seal that powerful, it would be devastated to Catch if he knew just how close he was to save his friend only to have failed.
Catch hasn't done any seal since then, mainly because he doesn't have any idea what he doing and when he placed the seal on Weaver his magic discharged with an explosion, it's probably a good thing Catch hasn't place any more seal as he could seriously injure or kill someone or himself, but because of the seal Catch put on Weaver, Eater the Nightmare is pretty messed up in the head thanks to Catch.

[Emotional basket case]

Catch now struggles with some new abilities that he's just staring to realize, just like the Dreamers of old Catch feels other people feelings but he not fully aware of this but it does effect him a lot. You put him in a room of moody people Catch will get moody, you put him in a room with happy children Catch will feel happy, this is me using Catch to show what it like for Dreamer of the past ( other than they had better control over it ) what Catch is experiences very similar to the Dreamer twins as Faye leaned to live with it and control it but Faolan was consumed by it.

Catch can dream walk but he doesn't have much experience with it or even know how to use it fully.
( And night don't exist in Skey x'D) so I haven't been able to show what all can really be done with this.

[ Still a moon Blood ]

Catch dose still have some of his moon Blood abilities, one of his first was in the beginning of Skey Catch didn't have any Elemental abilities but he could borrow them from others, this was actually do to him been a moon Blood, he can also give power and energy to others.

Catch out of my boys is the second one who has some healing Magic, as Malice is the first, unlike Malice who can heal others to some degree, Catch can only provide pain relief, if Catch was evil he could use the same ability and reverse it making the person experience more pain but he a nice guy and care for others.

[ Kill two birds with one stone]

Catch does have two Guardian stone on his chest but they are odd because they look like one stone, but he does indeed have two familiars but there sleeping and need help to wake up... him having two familiars is why Catch has tassels hanging from his horns.

Catch dose have two awakened forms, one his his war horse that can only happen with his familiars and his other his his Dreamer the Awaken, but can't be used because of Catty in Catch. Catch awaken forms would be more speed and support compared to my other two boys, as they are power and armor

[ The power of 4 and the price of knowledge... ]

Catch had 4 gemstones on his horns which makes him out of the moon Bloods the strongest to see visions, if Catch had 5 gemstones he would go insane...but thankfully he has 4 making Catch one of the strongest Vision Sears and put him in the group with Victoria, Blue and Ethan ( Judas and Ai are on their own level ) but Catch struggles with this power and it usually over takes him and lock him in the vision. Catch hasn't had any vision seen Blue gave him proper bones for his horns and it's probably a good thing to because Catch could have gone mad if his vision continue to go out of control like they were...

[ One true love ]

Catch is the my first OC I ever ship with someone else character, so CatchEira will always be special to me and I have learned a lot from them and still am.

Catch out of my boys is the most romantic, even if he wasn't an silverblood Catch is an old time romantic and only had feeling for one person, his childhood sweetheart, Catch silverblood Blood only amplifies this and he would do almost anything for Eira... Catch dedication as its pros and cons, as he is the happiest around Eira but he tends to be clingy and other candidates have taken notice of his, and even though Catch has good intentions he has neglected others, Catch has a lot of leaning to do in balancing out his personal life and his responsibilities to the key Hunters and becoming a leader for both.

In the beginning of Skey Catch had a bit more leader qualities to him but as things progress, he failed more and more with keeping his promises and just failing in general, this has effect him greatly, Catch doesn't feel he good enough to be a leader and that he just fail them to. Catch greatest fear is failing to keep his promises to Eira, he already failed saving his best friend Weaver to Nightmare syndrome and he fears the same will happen to Eira.

Catch is the only one of my boys who haven't been broken and given in to their darker side, this possible future has been shown in the bad vision and even more complemented in a vision Blue had of Catch we're if Eira dies Catch falls and give up. Cataclysm would devour Catch but because of Catch silverblood and his love for Eira, Catty would be consumed by Catch grief and despair over Eira and would be known as the Nightmare who cry for a love that was lost. In that dark future Catty would be one of the most powerful Nightmare do to Catch silverblood and Sol would easily use Catty to kill who ever he wanted all he have to say is who ever he wanted dead that that person killed Eira and Catty would hunt them down and kill them.

You have wondered if Catty supposed to be so powerful why didn't Sol make him the Nightmare king inside of Eater? it's because of Eira... when Catch kiss Eira he form a life bond with her, marking Eira as his one and only love and a silverblood can only have offspring with the one they have bond with making Catch useless for his plans to making Abominations ( that I will show in a different lore all on them), a Pyro and frost Nightmare hybrid... it is possible for Eira and Catty to produce very powerful hybrid similar to the Abominations as Eira is a ice Griffin and Catty is a Pyro Nightmare but unlike other Abominations Catty offspring would have silver blood and with that a resistance to corruption and to Soledormir will so they be able to have there own will and personality and on top of that they could only have children with someone they form a life bond with *Sol flip table * making them unpractical. Catty would be much more useful and entertaining with Eira dead

[ Royal of Royals ]

Catch has a lot of Royal Blood in him, he has a high Royal Vaseterm from Victoria side, like her Catch has a familiar of light and Darkness but Catch are a little different.

he a Royal Dreamer thanks to Faithful Dreamer side, as a member of the Golden star Catch has inherited their markings on his back and emblem on his clothes.

also because Faye you could say Catch has Royal human in him, as Faye mother was a human princess.

A fun fact is Catch red hair has been passed down his blood line do to a seal on him, the red hair is from Faye human side. Dreamer of old didn't have red, brown blond ( pretty much the natural hair color of humans ) these colors we're introduced by crossing with other species and now in present-day generation no one knows the difference.

in a way Catty is a Prince of Nightmares and he knows it and one of the reasons why he scared stiff of Malice', Mal already hates Catch for a lot of reasons and Catty knows Mal would still come after him even if he eat Catch.

[Stuff you probably know ]

Catch is Ambidextrous and is equally skilled in using both hands, but still tends to use his right.

Catch favorite food is fish and chips. He just careful not to eat them around Eira.

He likes water

The color of Catch magic is a variation of Blues

Catch Fairfin is Rihanna
Like all Dreamers Catch can glow at will but he does do it if he really happy.

Catch can play the piano.

Like all my boys Catch can sing and sing well, he the one who tends to sing the most, with Judas coming in behind him.

Catch almost dropped out of school looking for Eira when she went missing.

Catch can perform a magic spell with a spatula that makes his wife get annoyed ( it's actually not a magic spell but he try )

Catch will always hold a special place in my heart, I think everyone has a character like this and Catch is mine.

I could continue to ramble about Catch but I'm not, I'll save some stuff for later.

The Crescent Moon has another meaning, if on the other side it is also a symbol of the upcoming end... The one thing all stores have in common is they all come to an end..

Aaaah I love reading all of that, it was so interesting. Dreamcatcher is such a deep and amazing character, he was the first character of yours I liked, it was his design and sweetness that drew me in.

Night definitely doesn't exist in SKeys, or not for long it doesn't x'D
