what is a friend code, what does it do, and how do i find mine?

It's a 12 digit number that is unique to every system. If you add someone's friend code and they add your friend code, then you can see when they are online, what their fave 3ds game is, what their status message is, and you can send them swapnotes(basically like hand-written e-mail without the e-mail account)! Also you can find your friend code by choosing the orange smiley face icon at the top of the home menu.

I like this one the best I think. I used to have a goldfish, a beta fish, and four neon tetras. I was like 7 and I didn't know beta fish were territorial so my brother warned me then I was concerned. The next day my goldfish ate them all, and he got fat like the fish in the picture. I was like ''o_o Noo fishies!''
