Asad Azrael was entrusted with guarding the Earth by Supreme Kai Kakashi, and has done so faithfully for many years. Unbeknownst to Vaigh and the rest of Earth's population, Asad is Universe Zero's equivalent of Kami. Kakashi told him he would one day come across a child touched by fate, and when that time comes it would be his job to nurture and train him. That child was Vaigh.
