Great! I also just remembered Frederick is still there, so I should have him follow Dianne when she leaves. That only leaves Morty, Crowley, Pythia and Vitis in the city.
HI I'M SO SORRY I'M LATE I was distracted and I found out that my favourite youtube series is getting another series after two years so I had a bit of a happy cry
You guys can go ahead and start. By the way, Draco might not be here for some time, so I think you should just go ahead and bring the dog squad to Sovereign. She can catch up when she gets here.
(I have nothing to do I'm going to write some random stuff with Armin and Ivy)
After her conversation with Jerry's father and Wendigo, Ivy had begun to explore the city, not sure what to do next. //There's so many interesting shops around here... but they're all empty, thanks to the evacuation,// she sighed wistfully. Finding another crossroads, she turned left and made her way aimlessly down the narrow street.
Meanwhile, Armin had left the hospital room. Eliza had been asleep when he left, and he'd needed to stretch his legs. //It's quiet,// he mused, pausing beside a stone fountain that had been smashed apart in the earlier battle. //It's pretty peaceful without so many people around.//
@Aggron "That's okay. As long as you make sure to not drop them." Ango grumbles, climbing up onto Dianne's back and leaning down to help Emilia up, aided additionally by Keenan who climbs on after. "Whenever you're ready."
Keenan looks around at Ango, a little worried. "Hey, you okay?"
Frederick was in a nearby plaza. He saw Dianne transform, and hurried over to join the group. 'Are you leaving now? In that case, I'll accompany you.' He shifted into his bird form (a bald eagle) and prepared to follow.
(lol it's fine. Also, I'm going to assume that she already called ahead so she won't get shot at.) {Dianne takes off, doggos in hand. Flying around the city, Dianne orders all her minions to meet up with Titan and head for Sovereign. With that, her and Titan, along with all her minions, head for the Sovereign.}
While aimlessly walking around the city network, Ivy came across a train station - abandoned, of course - that held both modern trains and old-fashioned steam trains. Sitting down on a wall, she gazed around thoughtfully. //I should probably be getting back... I wonder how Jerry and Eliza are doing?// Slowly, she stood and began to retrace her footsteps back towards the king's palace.
Mortikai walks through an abandoned street, a slightly angered expression on his face and hands shoved into his pockets. "Brink." He says aloud, a soft growl in his voice. His expression worsens as he feels the dark spirit materialise across his shoulders. //I assume you're calling me. What ails you? You seem distressed.// "You'd know all about that, wouldn't you?" //Whatever do you mean?// Mortikai stops, brushing the feline off his shoulders and spinning to face him. "Whatever do you mean...What ever do you mean?! You know exactly what I mean! I want to know everything!" Dark Brink's face twists into an unreadable emotion, swimming in the air a little. //Everything? Are you sure you want to know everything? You should know better than anyone that knowledge is power, and power comes at a cost...// "Does it look like I care?! I want to know about the lives you've torn away from me! I want to know about what I could've been instead of- this!" His voice escalates into a yell, gesturing wildly at Dark Brink, who's expression remains unchanged. //...Well, I see they've had quite the impact on you. I'm unsure as to whether I like it or not. Maybe I could just kill you, find you, and bring you back before you're able to make any stupid connections with people. I think I'm starting to get the hang of working around my father's power, so I'll find you even quicker this time. From ten years, down to nine, down to perhaps not even a year at all. Wouldn't that be delightful?// His grin curls tighter, a mesh of sharp teeth curving in on itself as he speaks gleefully about his plan, ignoring Mortikai's distraught look. "You...you didn't even give me a chance? I could've said goodbye, I could've left on a good note, I could've still been a father!" //Technically, you still are...but I digress. The girl could be useful. After all, she will eventually be your successor, like you to your father.// "If you think I'll let you anywhere near her, then you've got another thing coming." He could feel the mark on his wrist burn, pain shooting up his arm, but he ignored it. Dark Brink pauses, anger flickering across his feline face before shrugging. //I'm going to ignore what you just said. But, if you really want your memories back, then who am I to stop you? It won't even cost you much, just allow me to take your form in this little plan I have...// Debating for a few moments, he sighs, putting out his hand. "Deal."
(Ooooohh, spooky. I like Brink novels. @Radiant Yeah, I'll continue.) {After a decently long flight, Dianne and her group land in Sovereign. She waits for everyone to dismount before shifting back.}
'Well... Sargon's army is destroyed. If any of them escaped, they're not a threat to us now. We killed nearly all of them.' Armin thought about it for a moment. 'Some of us are injured, like Jerry and Eliza, but they're going to be OK. Oh, and Ana escaped with Sargon,' he said nonchalantly. 'I think they flew off towards the western mountains.'
While he was talking, Ivy had caught up, and was eyeing the group that had arrived with Dianne with suspicion.
In Pythia's temple, Crowley was getting bored. 'I'm pretty sure I've healed enough to leave now,' he muttered, standing up and limping to the doorway. He peered outside. 'Hey, there's no sign of any of those centaur things. It seems really quiet, too.'
{Dianne tilts her head.} "Eliza and Jerry? How bad are they hurt? Western mountains?" {Dianne frowns a bit.} "That entire region is controlled by clans of dragons. And they don't like visitors."
Ivy spoke up before Armin could. 'They both got shot when that Anastasia freak put up a magic shield and everyone's bullets started bouncing off of it.'
'Yes, the western mountains,' said Armin, nodding thoughtfully. 'I'd be surprised if they managed to find a safe place to stay there, since as you said, the wild dragons are hostile to outsiders. But if they DID, then it might be hard for us to find them.'
{Vitis looks over at Crowley.} "Yeah, a little while ago, I heard a dragon flying around overhead and yelling. I think La Bruja left, so it's probably safe to go out."
'Great!' Without hesitation, Crowley hobbled out of the temple and set off up the street. 'Gee, it IS quiet. I think everybody's left. It's kinda lonely.' He teleported on top of a nearby roof to get a better view of the landscape.
{Dianne looks to Ivy, acknowledging what she said before turning to Armin.} "If they did, we can't just barge in there and tear up the ground looking for them. We have two options. Either we request an audience with the tribe leader and ask for permission to pursue our foe, or, we locate them first via draugr bird spies, then go in and destroy them quickly, in and out, before the tribe has any idea that we're there."
'The first one sounds safer to me,' said Armin. 'If we just rush in and kill Sargon and Ana, the dragons might still find us before we can get out again. At least with the first option, we'll have their permission.'
'And if it doesn't work, we'll just do the second one,' chipped in Ivy. 'Either way, we get what we want!'
Crowley glanced at Vitis before continuing to gaze around the city. 'Yeah. Well, I'm gonna do what I told you before - I'm going to Sovereign City. There's nothing to do here, and if everyone else went there, I can find them and mess with them.'
{Dianne nods.} "Yes. To save time, however, I'll have scouts searching for Sargon as we speak to the tribe leader, in the event that they deny us entry. But, before we do..." {Dianne looks to Ango.} "This one requires medical attention."
(Hmm, I'll need to think about that. I think you just need to have someone travel to the edge of the mountains and find a dragon, and then request to see the tribe leader. You can't contact them from outside, since they're isolated and don't care much about other people.)
'Sounds like a plan to me,' said Armin. 'I'll go up to the hospital and explain what's going on to everyone else. Maybe you should bring the kid up to the hospital as well, come to think of it.' He glanced at Ango and the dogs, then began to walk away. Ivy hung behind.
'Yeah, steal a car!' said Crowley enthusiastically, teleporting down from the roof. He seemed to have not noticed Vitis's insult about his usefulness. 'Steal a cool one, and we'll both ride in it.'
'There's gotta be something cool around here that's not smashed to pieces.' Crowley also began to search around, humming to himself as he investigated a side road. 'Hey, there's a whole bunch of cars over here!' He pointed to a car park, which was full of abandoned vehicles in almost every type you could think of.
{Vitis walks in and investigates the vehicles.} "Hey, what about this one?" {He walks up to a '64 Chevy Impala Lowrider. It had a flame paint job with the roof removed and hydraulics underneath.}
"Let's find out." {Vitis hops in the driver seat and starts to work. After a few moments, the engine roars to life.} Vitis: "Yeah! Now we're in business!"
(Yes.) {After a sufficiently long trip, the mischievous pair arrived at Sovereign. Before reaching the gates, Vitis pulls over. } "Ok, dude, before we go in there, we need a back up plan in case they don't let us in. You might be able to teleport, but I can't."
'Yeeeaaahh....' Crowley gazed ahead at the city gates. 'OK, how about I go in first? If they let me in without a problem, then they'll let YOU in too. I can run back here and tell you whether it's safe or not. And if it isn't...' A grin curled his face. 'Well, I /am/ the one with the cool teleportation powers.'
With a confident grin, Crowley jumped out the car and teleported up to the city gates. There looked to be nobody there at first, but when he tried to walk through, a soldier appeared to stop him in his tracks.
'Halt! The city is currently under close guard. There was a battle here not too long ago. Who are you?'
Crowley put on a fake concerned expression. 'A battle? I never heard about that. The name's Crowley Lockwood. I'm just a passing traveller.'
The guard scrutinised him briefly. 'Your name sounds familiar. Do you have any identification?'
'Oh... uhh...' Unable to think of anything to say, Crowley pounced on the guard, overpowered him with sheer speed, and shot him with his own pistol. With difficulty, he dragged the guard's body away and hid it behind a pile of broken stones. 'Welp, that solves all problems.'
Humming to himself, he teleported back to Vitis. 'They let me in! You can drive through now.'
(Well, shet. Crowley just murdered that guy. XD) Vitis: "Well, alright! Let's go!" {Starting the car, he drives up to the city and through the front gate.}
Crowley grinned happily as they drove into the city. 'This is gonna be awesome! They'll be so many cool people in here, I bet.'
As they entered, a huge three-headed creature watched them curiously from over a building. It was Wendigo. //Have I seen those guys before? Are they bad guys...? No, that's stupid. If they were with Sargon, they'd be dead by now.//
'I want to find somewhere to eat,' said Crowley decisively. 'I'm freakin' starving, I can't remember the last time I ate or drank anything except beer.'
'So? The bars back in Shacklestone weren't open either. I'll just break in somewhere.'
Crowley jumped out of the car without waiting for it to stop moving, and started walking up a side street, looking for any places that might sell food. Suddenly, he spotted a building with light coming from inside. It was a small restaurant, which had clearly been abandoned in a hurry.
'Bingo,' he muttered. 'Bye, Vitis.' Pushing the door open with his foot, he stepped inside and started looking around.
By the time Vitis had parked and gotten inside, Crowley was already in the restaurant kitchens, opening cupboards and looking through the food supplies. 'Lots of stuff!' he called back. 'But most of it needs cooking.' He found a pack of frozen sausages and examined them, wondering if he could possibly eat them raw.
{Vitis stepped into the kitchen and looked at the sausages.} "Well, what are you waiting for? Throw those puppies on the grill. I'm hungry too, ya know."
'I only know how to fry sausages,' said Crowley thoughtfully. 'So I'll do that.' He pulled down a frying pan from a shelf, switchen the cooker on and started working. 'I bet I COULD eat them raw, though,' he muttered, mostly to himself.
'I don't get sick!' Crowley retorted, as he began to cook the sausages. 'Ever. I'm too awesome to get sick. And I've eaten pretty weird things before.'

Mortikai walks through an abandoned street, a slightly angered expression on his face and hands shoved into his pockets.
"Brink."
He says aloud, a soft growl in his voice. His expression worsens as he feels the dark spirit materialise across his shoulders.
//I assume you're calling me. What ails you? You seem distressed.//
"You'd know all about that, wouldn't you?"
//Whatever do you mean?//
Mortikai stops, brushing the feline off his shoulders and spinning to face him.
"Whatever do you mean...What ever do you mean?! You know exactly what I mean! I want to know everything!"
Dark Brink's face twists into an unreadable emotion, swimming in the air a little.
//Everything? Are you sure you want to know everything? You should know better than anyone that knowledge is power, and power comes at a cost...//
"Does it look like I care?! I want to know about the lives you've torn away from me! I want to know about what I could've been instead of- this!"
His voice escalates into a yell, gesturing wildly at Dark Brink, who's expression remains unchanged.
Wouldn't that be delightful?//
His grin curls tighter, a mesh of sharp teeth curving in on itself as he speaks gleefully about his plan, ignoring Mortikai's distraught look.
"You...you didn't even give me a chance? I could've said goodbye, I could've left on a good note, I could've still been a father!"
//Technically, you still are...but I digress. The girl could be useful. After all, she will eventually be your successor, like you to your father.//
"If you think I'll let you anywhere near her, then you've got another thing coming."
He could feel the mark on his wrist burn, pain shooting up his arm, but he ignored it. Dark Brink pauses, anger flickering across his feline face before shrugging.
//I'm going to ignore what you just said. But, if you really want your memories back, then who am I to stop you? It won't even cost you much, just allow me to take your form in this little plan I have...//

{After a decently long flight, Dianne and her group land in Sovereign. She waits for everyone to dismount before shifting back.}
06 Oct, 2018, 11:17 pm
As Dianne and the squad came in to land, Ivy and Armin both arrived, from different directions, at the same time.
'Hey, it's Dianne!' exclaimed Armin. 'And some random kids!'
06 Oct, 2018, 11:18 pm
(That's probably gonna be my last post, so I'll see you guys tomorrow or whenever!)
06 Oct, 2018, 11:49 pm
(K, bye!)
07 Oct, 2018, 5:44 am
{Dianne wasted no time with formalities.}
"Armin, give me a sitrep. What happened with the battle and where is Sargon?"
07 Oct, 2018, 10:55 am
'Well... Sargon's army is destroyed. If any of them escaped, they're not a threat to us now. We killed nearly all of them.' Armin thought about it for a moment. "That entire region is controlled by clans of dragons. And they don't like visitors."

07 Oct, 2018, 4:52 pm
{Vitis walks out as well.} "Hey, look at that. This place is a complete ghost town. So, what now?"
07 Oct, 2018, 5:52 pm
'The first one sounds safer to me,' said Armin. 'If we just rush in and kill Sargon and Ana, the dragons might still find us before we can get out again. At least with the first option, we'll have their permission.'

{Dianne looks to Ango.} "This one requires medical attention."
07 Oct, 2018, 6:15 pm
{Vitis looks up at Crowley.}
"I don't suppose I can bum a ride off you, can I?"
07 Oct, 2018, 6:17 pm
(Hey, I know Dianne said she wanted to get in contact with the dragon tribe, but I don't actually know how to do that. XD any suggestions?)
07 Oct, 2018, 7:59 pm
(Hmm, I'll need to think about that. I think you just need to have someone travel to the edge of the mountains and find a dragon, and then request to see the tribe leader. You can't contact them from outside, since they're isolated and don't care much about other people.)
07 Oct, 2018, 8:01 pm
'Sounds like a plan to me,' said Armin. 'I'll go up to the hospital and explain what's going on to everyone else. Maybe you should bring the kid up to the hospital as well, come to think of it.' He glanced at Ango and the dogs, then began to walk away. Ivy hung behind.
07 Oct, 2018, 8:01 pm
Crowley stared at Vitis for a long moment. 'Are you kidding? I can't carry you on my back, and besides, I can't shapeshift now that it's daytime.'
07 Oct, 2018, 8:31 pm
(Ok.)
{Dianne looks to Ango.} "Follow us. We'll take you to a doctor."
07 Oct, 2018, 8:32 pm
{Vitis chuckles.} "Oh, yeah, I forgot, you're completely useless during the day. Well, I guess I'll just hotwire a car then..."
07 Oct, 2018, 10:08 pm
'Yeah, steal a car!' said Crowley enthusiastically, teleporting down from the roof. He seemed to have not noticed Vitis's insult about his usefulness. 'Steal a cool one, and we'll both ride in it.'
08 Oct, 2018, 5:36 am
{Vitis grins.} "Ok, one sweet, pimped out ride coming up."
{Vitis begins to look around for the coolest car he can find.}
08 Oct, 2018, 11:02 am
'There's gotta be something cool around here that's not smashed to pieces.' Crowley also began to search around, humming to himself as he investigated a side road. 'Hey, there's a whole bunch of cars over here!' He pointed to a car park, which was full of abandoned vehicles in almost every type you could think of.
08 Oct, 2018, 5:16 pm
{Vitis walks in and investigates the vehicles.}
"Hey, what about this one?"
{He walks up to a '64 Chevy Impala Lowrider. It had a flame paint job with the roof removed and hydraulics underneath.}
08 Oct, 2018, 5:20 pm
Crowley came over to look at the car. 'That's pretty cool-looking,' he remarked, sounding impressed. 'You wanna see if it still works?'
08 Oct, 2018, 5:44 pm
"Let's find out."
{Vitis hops in the driver seat and starts to work. After a few moments, the engine roars to life.}
Vitis: "Yeah! Now we're in business!"
08 Oct, 2018, 5:46 pm
Crowley leapt over the door into the passenger seat, not even stopping to open the door. 'Woohoo! Let's goooo!' he exclaimed with a wide grin.
08 Oct, 2018, 6:26 pm
{Laughing maniacally, Vitis punches it, tearing off through the city.}
"Next stop, Sovereign City! Whoooo!"
09 Oct, 2018, 10:48 am
(Shall we skip to them arriving there?)
09 Oct, 2018, 4:48 pm
(Yes.)
{After a sufficiently long trip, the mischievous pair arrived at Sovereign. Before reaching the gates, Vitis pulls over. }
"Ok, dude, before we go in there, we need a back up plan in case they don't let us in.

10 Oct, 2018, 1:32 am
{Vitis nods.} "Hmm. Sounds good to me. Go right on ahead."
10 Oct, 2018, 10:03 am

(Well, shet. Crowley just murdered that guy. XD)
Vitis: "Well, alright! Let's go!"
{Starting the car, he drives up to the city and through the front gate.}
10 Oct, 2018, 6:39 pm
(Crowley: 'This is the best way to resolve problems!')
10 Oct, 2018, 6:41 pm
Crowley grinned happily as they drove into the city. 'This is gonna be awesome! They'll be so many cool people in here, I bet.'
As they entered, a huge three-headed creature watched them curiously from over a building. It was Wendigo. //Have I seen those guys before? Are they bad guys...? No, that's stupid. If they were with Sargon, they'd be dead by now.//
10 Oct, 2018, 7:13 pm
{As Vitis was driving, he looked up and spotted Wendigo.}
"Woah! What the hell is that?!"
10 Oct, 2018, 7:22 pm
'Wooooaaah...' Crowley craned his head back to get a good view of the hydra. 'It's like some... weird creepy monster thing... I like it.'
Wendigo sneered at the pair as they passed, but didn't do anything to stop them.
10 Oct, 2018, 7:34 pm
{Vitis looks back to the road.}
"Well, giant monsters aside, what do you want to do now?"
10 Oct, 2018, 7:40 pm
'I want to find somewhere to eat,' said Crowley decisively. 'I'm freakin' starving, I can't remember the last time I ate or drank anything except beer.'
10 Oct, 2018, 10:56 pm
Vitis: "Sounds good. Except...I don't think anything's open."
{Looking around, it looks as if the shops are all closed due to the attack.}
11 Oct, 2018, 10:09 am
11 Oct, 2018, 10:12 am
While Wendigo was watching over the city, Frederick came up beside him. 'Has anything happened since the battle?' he asked.
Wendigo snorted. 'Nope, nothing. It's been really quiet. I've been considering flying to the mountains and hunting down Sargon's stupid face myself.'
'You'd better not. There are hundreds of wild dragons there, you wouldn't stand a chance,' said Frederick.
Wendigo subsided into annoyed grumbling. 'I bet I COULD, though,' he muttered.
11 Oct, 2018, 4:47 pm
{Vitis sighed, parked the vehicle, and got off, walking for the restaurant. Getting inside, he looks around.}
"So, any good grub?"
11 Oct, 2018, 5:37 pm
By the time Vitis had parked and gotten inside, Crowley was already in the restaurant kitchens, opening cupboards and looking through the food supplies. 'Lots of stuff!' he called back. 'But most of it needs cooking.' He found a pack of frozen sausages and examined them, wondering if he could possibly eat them raw.
12 Oct, 2018, 7:12 am
{Vitis stepped into the kitchen and looked at the sausages.}
"Well, what are you waiting for? Throw those puppies on the grill. I'm hungry too, ya know."
12 Oct, 2018, 7:17 am
(Just a heads up, I won't be around for the Shacklestone RP on saturday at all. Feel free to continue without me though.)
12 Oct, 2018, 9:40 am
(No problem, thanks for letting me know!)
12 Oct, 2018, 9:43 am
'I only know how to fry sausages,' said Crowley thoughtfully. 'So I'll do that.' He pulled down a frying pan from a shelf, switchen the cooker on and started working. 'I bet I COULD eat them raw, though,' he muttered, mostly to himself.
12 Oct, 2018, 7:25 pm
{Vitis chuckles.} "Heheheh, grill 'em, fry em, I don't care. Eat 'em raw? What, do you want to get worms?"
12 Oct, 2018, 8:12 pm
'I don't get sick!' Crowley retorted, as he began to cook the sausages. 'Ever. I'm too awesome to get sick. And I've eaten pretty weird things before.'
13 Oct, 2018, 4:07 am
{Vitis just smiles and shakes his head.}
"Not sick, idgit. I meant you might get parasites if you ate that raw. Haven't you ever heard of tapeworms?"
13 Oct, 2018, 11:34 am
Crowley's brow furrowed with confusion. 'Tapeworms? Are they like real worms? I'm pretty sure I've never had those either.'
