Kosumosu and Kiku live in the land known as Golden Honey. The land is very bountiful with a variety of fruits, veggies, and herbs, thanks to nature's little pollenators. Which means traders come by offering great things in exchange.

It's thanks to Akechi, the hero of the land, as well as a husband and father who made the land the way it was. He gave his life to protect it from bandits and menacing lords who sought to take it for themselves.
Before he died, he left only his weapon, and some words to his crying wife: "Be strong for our child, and for our people"...
Taking those words to heart, Kosumosu has become a benevolent, but strong leader of Golden Honey.

She handles affairs between lands without batting an eye. Her seriousness sometimes makes people wonder if she's actually as kind as they say. :'p
Kiku is taught how to be a proper ruler, but her mother often lets her just enjoy her life. As a result, she has a carefree spirit, but is pretty headstrong like her father was.
All the people love her dearly, and would willingly give their lives for her, as well as the queen.
Sometimes the thought that someone may try to take Golden Honey troubles Kosumosu, and she wonders if she can be as strong, if not stronger than Akechi was.
