[ Doe a deer a female deer~]

Does are typically smaller in size compared to Bucks, their body's structures is more sleek and elegant.

Females have smaller ribbons then males, unless they are obsidian females then they have long ribbons to.

Females do not have manes like males do, does will ether have no mane or a very small amount around their head as a crest, unless they are a silver female then they can have small fluffy around their feet and a small mane down their back.

Male Dreamers are known for their manes that go down their neck and some go all the way down to their rump, the Dreamer manes is very soft to the touch.
In the days of old the color and size of a male Dreamers mane meant something but that has long been forgotten to the present day Dreamers...

Both male and female can have horns in any of the Dreamer varieties but only golden Bucks have the possibility of growing antlers.

There is something I haven't told anyone yet... but if you look at #SPDreamerref and the male gold Dreamers, you will see that most of the gold males have a bump or small horn just above their eyebrow or top of their head, this is because it's possible for them to grow antlers.
( All of them have this except Dreamcatcher...)

antlers were something more common in the days of old but it is still seen in some male gold Dreamers but in mostly older males, like Catch dad has antlers but not all males will grow antlers ether even as a older Buck.

There are 4 types of Dreamer.

Gold, Silver, Obsidian and Royal

#SPGoldDreamer are the largest of the population and can be seen living in about any habitat, but generally prefer the Valley and forests.

gold Dreamers are know for having gold/ yellow marking on their body, and their Wings are more shape like a wing.

A gold Buck is the only ones who have the possibility of growing horns.

#SPSilverDreamers is the uncommon of the species and generally prefer to live in a cooler climate, and are known to be Coastal or Mountain Dreamers.

Silver Dreamers are know for their silver or White markings, they are the fluffiest of the variety

#SPObsidianDreamers are the rarest of the variety, out of the Dreamers types they have the highest tolerance of heat and humidity, and have colonies in the Oasis of the desert, and jungles.
The obsidian Dreamer are known for their darker markings, and they have a distinct wing shape, they typically have striped patterns on their body.

obsidian also have the shortest cloud tails and of the males they have the shortest mane.

The Royals:

The Royals we're from the old days before the curse the Nightmare, these Dreamers we're from Gold, Silver and Obsidian but we're special, they typically have more abilities than the other varieties and had distinct marking on their body to show they are Royals.

Royals we're already rare evening the times old but thanks to Soledormir in the present day they are extinct, or at least that what was thought...

Dreamcatcher is the only know Royal Dreamer in thousands of years.

Catch not only is a Royal but he comes from the blood line of the Golden star, the ruler's of the Dreamers kind

Dreamers body structures are little different, this is because I made my own Anatomy for the species, they are however been inspired by deer, horses and dogs to make up there own unique structure, but a lot has been inspired by deer.

Dreamer are more of the size of a horse but in body shape their more like deers, they also have more narrow heads like a deer and like some dogs.

-

Dreamer body's structures are built to be more fast and agile, like deer, Dreamer do not have front legs shoulder blades, everything is connected with tendons and muscles, this makes the Dreamers extremely flexible.

( Fun fact: Have you ever seen a video of a deer just walk up to a fence and hop over it like it was nothing but a horse has to make a running start before hoping a fence? It's because a deer has more flexibility in there front legs do to not having shoulder bones, however without having shoulder bones the deer lacks durability in caring too much weight on their back, it would cuz their joints to buckle more than a horse )

Dreamer don't have as much problem as deer do with their joints buckling if they are caring something on their backs, Dreamer muscles and tendons are extremely resilient and could still carry the weight of a person and still be fine but they still wouldn't be able to carry or pull as much weight as a Vaseterm could.

Dreamer feet are more like deer hooves then horse hooves, and it's more than just the look of them to, Deer and other Mountain animals like bighorn sheep hooves have a more rubbery sole to there hooves, this helps with traction and absorbing impact from jumps, this rubbery sole allows the Dreamer to be able to climb up on rough Terrain like a mountain goat could and that would not be possible for other hooves species like the Vaseterm.

Like deer, there is a different between a male or female when it comes to tracks. With a female and young adult Dreamers they only show the two toes (hooves) that form an upside-down heart-shaped track with the rounded bottom, as a full adult male has more weight on there body making their dew claws in the back also make intense in the ground.

Younger Dreamers hooves will be slightly more pointed at the tips and will round out the older they get, depending on how much wear and tear they put on their hooves.

Very similar to Deer the Dreamer of old Behavior would change with the phases of the moon, a Dreamer would become more nocturnal the closer the moon was full but then go back to being diurnal with little to no moon. This was mostly for the Dreamers dream walking ability.

Not that this really matters, but like deer there is a difference between a male and female Dreamer 'scat' ( poo)
Deer scat will be oblong in shaped, a does will be more like pellets as a Buck is a clusters pile. ( To much info...)

Dreamer also have a venison taste like a deer but there not as gammy, but it really depends on the individual eating habits as well.

Unlike deer that are typically herbivore and eat plants ( unless there red deer that tend to eat seabird chicks)
Dreamer are omnivore, they can eat both meat and plants, this gives them the flexibility in getting the nutrients their body needs to keep healthy.

Dreamers heads are kinda a odd shape to be honest but that what I like about them. XD

[ What big eyes you have]

There eyes are not like a horse were there set more on the side of the head, but it's more like a deer or dogs so they can see forwarded more but still have a good side vision. Dreamers eyes are actually more similar to human eyes then deers, Dreamers are able to move their eyes and look around without having to move their head just like Human can as others animals generally have to move their head to look because of how their irises take up most of the space in their eyes and it doesn't give them much room to move their eyes to look around.

Dreamers eyesight is much like a human as far as seen colors other than a Dreamers eyes tend to pick out brighter color things as they usually more attracted to bright and flashs things.

Their eyesight at night is also much like a human.

However the Dreamers of old eyesight at night was greater the more the moon was full.

[ What big ears you have]

Dreamers have big ears and have really great hearing because of that. It's one of the Dreamers signature of their ears having fluffy plates, they usually are 3 to 4 of these fluffy plates in the ears. These fluffy plates help protect the Dreamer ears from wind, dust, water, bugs and so on...

But that not the only reason why their ears are like that, Dreamers ears are able to pick up tones and sounds that humans ears just are not capable of.
In the days of old Dreamers would purr for different reasons, but it's a soothing Melody chime sounds but to other Dreamers they can hear the full song because of how their ears are.

Note: present day Dreamers usually do not purr when they are adults, it's something more that fawn do, but the Dreamers of the past the adults would purr, but do to the Nightmare curse Dreamer just grow out of purring.

[ Speak my language]

Dreamers do have their own language, it has a more rhythm sound to it as they speak, it usually sounds pretty to others but the Dreamer language is one of the hardest to learn just because of the tones and pitches a Dreamer can make and hear that other species might not be able to hear or mimic.

Note: a Dreamer can speak this language in any other alternate forms as yes they do copy a different form but it always keeps Dreamers aspects, the vocal cords and been able to pick up on Dreamer tones is one of them.

Because of the complexity of the Dreamer language, they usually just keep to the basic language of the land of dreams that most people understand even in other words.

[ What a big nose you have]

Dreamers have long snouts, and if you notice they have a kind of signature bump towards the end of their snout, that is were there nostrils are at, the bump on there face plate protects their nostrils. Dreamers have excellent sense of smell in their true form much like a dog has, but they are far more meandered when it comes to smelling things ( you won't see a Dreamer stiffing someone else bum )
Dreamers do however tend to lose their Dreamer sense of smell with alternate forms but depending upon the form it could even be better then their true form

[ who needs a hand?]

, Dreamer ribbons work just like hands for the Dreamer, they use then to pick up and grab things, the ribbon can extend longer then what their ref picture show but they do have a limit on just how long their reach is. It a ribbon gets cut it will hurt the Dreamer but over time the ribbons will regenerate

[ A love like no other ]

Please keep in mind that Dreamers are not human nor are they from Earth, there species has a higher value on relationships and higher moral standards.

I'm not going to do the full lore on Dreamers relationships in this particular lore post as there just a lot of info on it, Dreamer like the Vaseterm are extremely dedicated creatures.

Dreamers have a few things they do to show affection to their love interested, a Dreamer kiss, in place their forehead to the other individual a Dreamer can share their feeling to one another but to an species outside a Dreamer the individual will interpret the Dreamer feeling as a warm comforting sensation flowing into to them.
A Dreamer purr ( this is something that was lost do to the Nightmare syndrome )

The Dreamer pledge: this is something that is not practice as much compared to the Dreamers of old, a Dreamer pledge is their Bond, there are many types of pledges, but few are greater then the giving of ones own Light to someone else...

This is a powerful meaning to Dreamers as they are literally giving themselves to someone else.

( I will do a lore on a Dreamer pledges as their is just to much to cover )

Dreamer as a species believe in the Unity of marriage and will wed in ether their true form or alternate forms depending on what species their spouse is. They will refer to their spouse as ether husband or wife and rarely just call them their mate as a way to show their spouse respect.

There is a special ceremony that is done to wed a Dreamer ( much like what Catch and Eira was like, but I will likely go over it more in the lore on relationships )

Dreamer do not form a life bond with their spouse ( unless they pledge themselves ) but they are extremely dedicated species and usually only have one mate in their life time. A Dreamer can remarry if their spouse is deceased but it's not common.

It is also in the Dreamer culture that private intimacy before before marriage is greatly look down on, but for most Dreamers the thought of having private intimate relations before marriage just doesn't cross their mind.

Dreamers have a fast recovery rate and their body are pretty Hardy.

A Dreamer would have had had a major Serious injury for it to leave a permanent scar.

Because Dreamers High immune systems a common cold like what effect humans wouldn't effect a Dreamer, but Dreamers can experience their own version of a cold just to a human it would be pneumonia but to a Dreamer it's just a common cold. So basically Dreamer have their own sicknesses and ailments

[ Life support]

A Dreamer higher immune systems is party do to their bond with their Fairfin, Dreamers usually don't get sick that much but if their bond get cut with their Fairfin some Serious life threatening ailments will occur, the Choke is the most severe and is fatal to a Dreamer. ( I have already covered this in a different lore )

[ A dark fate ]

When Soledormir decided he wanted the Dreamers species, he discovered he could not corrupt them by his usual methods, to the Dreamers of old corruption would not turn them into monsters that Sol could use, instead the corruption was more like a poison that made them sick and would kill them, yeah sure Sol found a effective way to kill Dreamers but he didn't want to wipe them out he wanted them as toys for his collection of monstrosity. Sol is a very patient creature and over countless centuries of experimentation his daughter Shoji made the Light Eater, the Nightmare curse. When Malice the first Nightmare was released upon the realms the Nightmare curse spread throughout the Dreamers species like a plague, Dreamers we're ether becoming deathly ill and eventually dying or they became Nightmares. The Dreamer population took a nosedive and was on the verge of Extinction before the Fairfins we're made.

One Soledormir was sealed and Fairfins we're bond to Dreamers, the Dreamer species was saved, but the damage was already done, most of the Dreamers abilities were lost do to the Nightmare curse and even with a Fairfin a Dreamer life expectancy was cut to just a fraction of what it used to be, but at least they we're still alive.

A Dreamer life expectancy before the Nightmare curse was 5,000.

After the Nightmare curse a Dreamer life expectancy is only 500.

Dreamers of the present-day do not know this, they just believe 500 is normal.

Dreamers age much like Human do, one year to them is one year us, a Dreamer age doesn't slow down until they hit adulthood in their 20, then they age slowly.

A Dreamer will look like their in their 20 for their first 100 years, they look 30 in their 200, and here is we're they age a bit faster 40 in their 250, 50, in their 300, 60 in their 350, 70 in their 400, 80 in their 450, 90 to their 500.

All Dreamers blood is red.
But half Bloods can be a different color.

[ Heart two Hearts]

Dreamers have two Hearts, one is their physical heart that beats on their chest as their second heart is more of their essence/soul called the ' heart reflection'

A Dreamer can actually pull out their heart reflection from their chest, it looks like a ball of Light that glow with the same color as the Dreamer Magic.

Pulling one heart reflection out doesn't feel good, it's put a lot of stress on the Dreamer and make them extremely vulnerable well their heart reflection is out, in the next post I'll show a demonstration of a Dreamer taking their heart reflection out and a Fairfin fire.

#CosmicDreamer was in his human form, he walked into his room and close then lock the door behind him, the obsidian Dreamer then cloesed all the windows and lock them to.

A purple feathered Fairfin was watching his bond partner anxiously " are you ready, Mike?" He asked the Dreamer.

Cosmic was already removing his jacket and shirt, he wasn't like other Dreamers we're their clothes were made with their own Magic, his had to come elsewhere and they just get in the way with what he was about to do " yeah...let's get this done and over with" he said bluntly but even he couldn't hide the tension in his voice, having to remove one heart reflection was a serious task, not only was it painful and it would leave him vulnerable for that time but the only reason why a Dreamer would pull out their heart was because they might have Nightmare syndrome...

Cosmic Dreamer went over to a wall and sat down placing his back up against the wall, his Fairfin flew over and sat on his knee looking worried at his partner " I don't think it's to late... because you got a big heart, even though you try and hid it" He said with a force smile

Cosmic smirk at Gus " well, there only one way to find out" he said and then cloesed his eyes, the Dreamer took a few deep Breathless as he was mentally preparing himself, he then took his hands to his chest and he began to glow, the gemstones on Cosmic hands glow the brightest as he was drawing his Light to his chest.

The Dreamer then grimace as he slowly started to pull his hands away from his chest, pulling the light from his body with them // ah, moons! I forgotten how much this hurts, Gus hurry up and check already!// He thought as beads of sweat collected on his brow.

The Dreamer was holding a sphere of light with a yellow glow edge, his Fairfin flew around it looking for any dark spots " oh... Mike, you have a dark spot, but the good news is it's not very big" he explained as he examine the dark blemish on his Bond Partners heart.

The Dreamer color was already going pale without his light inside himself "...y-ou can clean it then? So burnt it" Cosmic forced a smile " don't worry, I can take it "

Gus was timid to do what Cosmic asked, he knew it was going to hurt the Dreamer and if it was more severe he could kill his own Bond partner by burning his heart. The purple Fairfin took a breath to ready himself " ok Mike, get ready" he said and place his paws on the Dreamers heart reflection, Gus stared to speak the language of the Fairfin, that sounded more like a song, the area that Gus paws were caught fire with a /White Flame/ and it spread across the surface of the heart reflection.

Cosmic clenched his teeth to keep from screaming, he pressed self up against as he endure the pain, ones his Fairfin was done bruning his heart, Cosmic leaned forward panting " let's get this back we're it belongs so you can rest" Gus said gently as he helped move Cosmic hands back to his chest, the heart reflection dissolved into the Dreamer chest and Cosmic took a deep breath and place his back against the wall again to rest with his eyes closed " see, that wasn't so bad" he teased to lighten the mood even though he was exhausted, but this was better than doing nothing and becoming a Nightmare.

A Dreamer can pull out their heart reflection in their true form, a Dreamer would just lay down and use their ribbons to pull their heart out.

A Dream will usually remove their heart only if they expect themselves to have Nightmare syndrome, as removing the heart is painful and it leaves the vulnerable, a Dreamer can not use any of their magic or abilities while their heart is out of their body, the form they are in is locked until their heart is put back inside themselves.

If their heart reflection is completely removed from the Dreamer, it would be bad... The Dreamer body would enter a coma toast state as the heart reflection would have the individuals full consciousness.

the Dreamer would still a aware of what happening to their body but wouldn't have control over it, the Dreamer can't really do much as a ball of Light, they can see what going on around them but it's more like seen life auras of others. A Dreamer also couldn't talk as a ball of light but can understand what other people as saying, the only way a Dreamer could communicate is by flashing their Light and speaking to their Fairfin telepathically.

The Dreamer is extremely vulnerable as their heart reflection, they can really move on their own, and have no way to defend themselves, so their at the Mercy of whoever find them.
A Dreamer can be killed by destroying their heart reflections or if their body gets severely damaged or killed. Also if the Dreamer heart reflection is not returned to their body in time, their body will shut down and die and with that the heart reflection will fad and die.

Dreamers are a High magic species, a lot of their ability have been lost do to the Nightmare curse but something still remain.

Dreamers magic abilities
Are divided into 3 class, shapeshifter, Summoner, Elemental. No Dreamer is equally powerful in all class, if a Dreamer is extremely powerful in one class they will lack in the other two classes.

Shape shifting:

Let see here, I already covered in the past about fawn and them been able to pick different from to shift to.

A Dreamer fawn will be able to shift to any other creatures species until they hit 10 and their forms are locked.

The average Dreamer has 1 to 2 alternate forms, with other class abilities.

5 forms like
CosmicDreamer is as many a Dreamer can have, but like him, they have none of the other class abilities, no summoning or Elemental Magic.

Summoner, similar to shape shifting but instead of their form changing the Dreamer changes the form of their Magic, this is the ability to summon weapons armor and clothing and a few other things.

Summoning is usually used to compliment the Dreamer alternate forms or Elemental ability and the average Dreamer has some summon skill.

-

Making clothing is a common skill, but making fancy and more durable clothing is a bit higher skill.

-
Making weapons take a medium skill, making multiple weapons take more skill.

-

If a Dreamer is exceptional at summoning, they can make armor and this is for all forms.

Armor for Dreamers, expecially in their true form has a particular look between, Gold, silver and obsidian ( I'll show this eventually as I had a WIP of DW Gold armor for a while x'D)

A Dreamer can make something called Spears, this is something that a strong Summoner can make and it's in their true from.

Examples: Catch is a Summoner, it's why he lacks in shifting and Elemental abilities, Catch has made Spears of Light he uses as weapons in his true form, they are long blade that comes from his wings, he can send them at something for median distance attack, he has also uses them to cut a fire line but keep his wings out to the side, the Spears cut though the trees as he ran by.

However it's very rare to see a full Summoner, and because of that not really much is know on the full potential of a Summoner.

Unlike shape shifting and summoning that a fawn can pick what form they want, element is inherited, most the time from their parents but sometimes a fawn can have a different element from their parents but it's likely someone down the bloodline had that element

It is possible for a Dreamer to have more than one element besides Light Magic that all Dreamer have but the more an individual have the less abilities they have in the other classes.

element powerful elements user can be divided into groups,
One: the individual has multiple elements, but the power level to them are usually are not strong.

Two: the individual has only one element (besides Light( and it's extremely strong

Example: #LSPurityDreamer is a Elemental, but she only has one element besides Light, her water ability is extremely strong and was recognized as the highest in her class at the Shadows hunters School, her alternate form and her summon mop compliment her element.
