Sheldon looked like he'd been holding his breath waiting for her to say she didn't feel the same way, and when she spoke, he looked momentarily dumbstruck.
'You...' He shook his head and blinked a few times. 'Do you really? ...I didn't want to say it because we've always been such great friends and I was worried you might think I'm weird and it would ruin everything...'

'You've got nothing to worry about,' said Crowley, leaning back and folding his arms defiantly. 'I'm never gonna indebt myself to Brink. You're probably more likely to do it than I am.'

"Even if I hadn't liked you in quite this way, we would've still been friends," Tochi assured him. "I've been thinking of telling you about my feelings for a while, but I decided to wait until you had the courage to say it yourself."

Sheldon turned to give her a look of betrayal. 'Y-you were going to tell me but you left it up to me to say? Couldn't...couldn't you have made it easy?'

Tochi looked away. "Sorry, I just thought it would be for the best." she shrugged. "To... help you somehow. I'm not sure."

Vitis: "What? No way! I would /never/ do anything for that creepy cat! I bet you would make a deal with him if he promised you a higher alcohol tolerance! Ahahahaha!"

'Uhm... well, I guess it kinda helped. A little.' Sheldon looked away as well, tugging on his collar in an awkward sort of way. 'I don't mind really. At least I actually managed to tell you, in the end.'

Crowley eyed Vitis darkly. 'Hey, no fair. You can't make fun of me for something I can't change. I know I have crappy alcohol tolerance.' He shrugged. 'At least I'm cool enough to not let it stop me from drinking.'

"Hmmm..." was Tochi's only reply as she stared down at the fish for a few seconds.

"Well... what should we do now, Sheld? I can kind of imagine us still acting like best friends, even now we're more than that." She laughed lightly.

'I... don't think anything's going to change very much,' he replied. 'I mean, I don't really know what we're /supposed/ to do differently, anyway. I've never been... in a relationship thingy.... with anyone before. I don't suppose it matters much.'

"No, I don't suppose it does," she agreed. "As long as we're both happy." She then added in a humourous tone, "We're not going to be much like other young couples anyway, are we?"

{Vitis just gives Crowley a jeering look.} "Naw, the fact that you won't quit just means you're an idiot, not that you're cool. How many times have you ended up on the floor but still drink that much?"

'No... probably not. We're too... different,' Sheldon agreed, nodding slowly as he gazed into the water. 'We'll do whatever makes us happy, though, right? I'm just glad that we both KNOW how we... feel about each other.'

'Eh, I dunno... Lots of times.' Crowley considered for a moment. 'Sometimes I get so drunk that I don't even remember anything the next morning. I could've done literally anything and I wouldn't know.'

Sheldon made what sounded like a small squeaking noise, then hesitantly returned the hug, putting an arm around Tochi and slightly leaning against her. In the water below, the minnows and larger fish darted back and forth, catching insects.

Sheldon and Tochi now walked along a quiet street of interesting shops. A bookstore, a bakery, a pet shop with live guinea pigs, and a tiny toyshop, just to name a few.

"Where would you like to go first?" Tochi asked.

'Is that a pet shop?' Sheldon inquired, slowing down to peer into the front window. 'Let's go and have a look. Didn't you have a guinea pig back home? Or was it something else? I think it was a rodent, at least...'

As Ango tried to leave, a centaur steps in front of her, snarling, trying to determine if she's an enemy.}

{Dianne follows Morty closely, keeping up with him easily.}

{The abomination continues to pursue Keenan relentlessly, trying to take a bite out of him.}

"It was a hamster," she responded, pushing the front door open and gazing around the shop. "A tiny hamster. I'd like to have a guinea pig, though. They're ever so cute..."

'You don't have any money, though,' said Sheldon. 'I mean, have you?' He checked his pocket, finding nothing. Any loose change he'd been carrying had long since been lost in all the travelling, running and fighting.

"Uhh... hmmm." her pockets were zipped shut, keeping money safe, but she still looked disappointed when she looked inside. "Not enough for a single pig, nevermind all the stuff they need. Oh well - maybe I'll ask Grandma about it."

Sheldon nodded. 'Yes, she must have money.' He gazed around the tiny shop. 'Oh... what's that over there?' Without waiting for a response, he hurried off. There in the corner stood a large animal cage filled with hay. Inside were about six guinea pigs, all different colours, squeaking at the shoppers who were walking past.

(Lol, the city just got attacked and here's these two just browsing in a pet store.)

Ango freezes, holding her arms out so no one would pass her and run straight into the centaur. She glares at it, swallowing her fear and steeling herself.

Keenan leaps out of the way of the thing, electricity crackling in his fur in preparation for an attack.

Mortikai quickens his pace, fear growing in the pit of his stomach.

Tochi quickly followed and made a small happy sound when she saw the guinea pigs. She crouched beside the cage and looked in, poking a finger through the bars. A black and white pig approached her, snuffled around her finger, then jumped up with an excited wheek and darted away. Tochi laughed.

Sheldon watched her run up to interact with the guinea pigs, smiling slightly. Just then, his eye caught sight of another cage further along. Leaving Tochi to look at the pigs, he wandered off.

Inside the second cage was a small fuzzy puppy, reddish-brown in colour and with big brown eyes. It wagged its tail uncertainly when Sheldon approached, gazing up at him through the bars.

{The centaur looks over the pair, approaching them slowly. After determining that they were human, it looks up and sees Keenan.}
Centaur: "Move, little one, I must destroy that lackey of Brink."

{The Abomination, despite not being quick enough to catch Keenan, continues its pursuit.}

Tochi glanced up as Sheldon left. She saw him looking at the puppy and noticed its slightly similarity to his wolf form. She watched him for a moment before a guinea pig squeaked and she turned back to them. A light brown pig had its front paws up on the bars as it stretched up to look at her.

//You look a little bit like me...// Sheldon eyed the puppy as it reached up to sniff at him. On a whim, he pushed a hand through the bars to pet its head. He had never really liked dogs before - they were loud and unpredictable - but maybe things were different now.

Meanwhile, a store assistant had noticed Tochi. 'You had guinea pigs before?' he asked her, seeming a little amused by her delight.

I'm currently writing two different things
1. a dark edgy story about criminals and homeless people
2. sheldon and tochi squeal over cute animals

"Bob pulled a pistol from his bag and aimed it menacingly at the stranger. And then as he pulled the trigger...
"It squeaked!" Tochi exclaimed."

"Oh, no, I haven't," she replied, petting the brown guinea pig's nose with one finger. "I'd like to, though, when I can get the money."

The black and white pig returned and nudged the brown one away from Tochi's finber.

'Oh, really? If there's one here you like and you want to come back for it later, we can have it reserved for you. We'll hold one for up to three days before it goes back up for sale.'

Sheldon left the puppy, somewhat reluctantly, and wandered back over to Tochi to see what was going on.

"No! He's our friend, he was told to protect us!"
She exclaims, shuffling on her feet slightly. Despite being injured and the centaur looking fairly dangerous, she was prepared to fight if she had to. Toby growls from behind Jed and Emilia.

Concentrating a charge to his front paws, Keenan swipes at the abomination and sends a wave of electricity towards it, letting out a slight growl.

{The centaur doesn't answer. It just gently picks up Ango, walks inside with her, puts her down to the side, and turns to Keenan.} Centaur: "All of Brinks must die. No exceptions."

{The Abomination jumps at Keenan, through the electricity, looking to bite him. Other than burning it a little, the attack has little effect.}
