I was just a small Dragonette of 8 year old, I was fast asleep like any other night, but the peaceful Silence was broken with Scream of horror and sounds of chains... I remember waking up and running to my balcony to see a sky alit with green flames...my heart stopped with fear as the terrifying black monster from story told to me from times long ago raised up from the flames of my burning Kingdom...he was coming for me... I the descendant of King Zitan... A paralyzing fear Wash over me as the Tormented king black eyes truned my way ... and I knew Malice has come for me... he has come for Revenge for what my ancestor was accused of...

I jumped when my friend Meknee rushed into into my room and shouted " Crimson! We have to go! The kingdoms under attack!"

At first I didn't want to believe it, this couldn't be happening, this had to just be some kind of bad dream but the fear felt to real...I nodded and followed Meknee as we try to reach my other family members in the safe room it we're we were told to go if anything bad we're to happen, on our way sounds of Nightmares and the guards screaming ring in my ears. Meknee keep telling me " we're going to make it, everything will be alright we just have to make it to the safe room"

But I remember.... I remember seen my oldest sister, Ruby, at the end of the hallway, she had been looking for me and Meknee to take us to the others, I...I remember her calling my name when giant chains ripped through the walls... each link had to be 8 feet long...the black chains that belong to Malice...the world seem to freeze in time as my sister life was taking from me right before my eyes...

Meknee cover me with her wings as more chains came through the walls, I closed my tear-stained eyes and screamed, I just wanted it to stop, I just wanted this to all stop! I thought I was going to die
But death did not come for me, not yet...the sound of clashing metal made me open my eyes, and a black wing creature I've never seen before stood before us, he stood on two legs and had blades that glow like Light, he was speaking but I couldn't understand what he was saying but whatever he did he stopped the chains, as I looked up at this wing creature, I had heard story of creature like this... was this a guardian angel?

The wing man was holding back the black chains, he truned his head and shouted "Run!!"

Meknee pushed me to one of the other halls and we started for the safe room, my eyes were blurry with tears and my legs felt like jelly, but we had to keep going...the safe room was not far now but Meknee stopped me just before reaching it, I heard the final screams of my second oldest sister Jade and my younger brother Garnet as Nightmares claim there life's... Meknee cover my maw with her paw to keep me from crying out, I couldn't help it, I just couldn't stop... Everyone was dying and I couldn't do anything...

The Nightmares still heard me despite Meknee's efforts, she pulled me over to some rubble to hide, she cooed to me but I knew she was scared to, she cup her paw over my maw again when the Nightmares come looking for us, I remember everyone of them...they all had the same hallowed green eyes that glowed with evil...I thought my heart was going to explode with fear, me and Meknee both breathe with relief when the Nightmares moved on. Everything hit me I felt like I couldn't move, I felt sick and I well...I threw up...I couldn't move anymore but we had to go, it wasn't safe there...Meknee was shaking with fear but she picked me up by the scruff of my neck and I just hang there, everything was a blur was my eyes were full of tears.

Meknee ran through the Palace avoiding Nightmares and the chaos, there was a hole in the wall that let out to the courtyard, I remember the black haze, that horrible fog that hung over like a blanket of despair, Malice's black fog....

Meknee hesitated but we needed to get away from here, but before she reached the fog something grabbed her, we both screamed in fear that the Nightmares has found us...
Instead of the sound of snarling monsters that I was expecting "Shhhh" come from what had hold of Meknee, when I looked the wing man had hold of her tail in one hand and his other he had his finger too his lips shushing us, he said he 'came to help' he explained to use that this was no ordinary fog, that this wasn't no normal Nightmares fog, this was Malice's tormented fog, and that if when out into it, it would kill someone as young as us just by breathing it but that wasn't even the worst part, he said those who die in the fog their body's become Malice's puppets...

The wing man place a seal on both me and Meknee, he said that Malice had made a barrier over the City that prevented anything from teleporting and flying was a death sentence, so the only way to Escape was to go through the fog...he told us to stay close and thought I was terrifying we followed.

The wing man expression was serious as we entered the city, I could not see far in front of me do to the Eerie fog, but the sounds of my people's screams filled the air, the sounds of the Nightmares made sent fear deep down into my core, but the roars of Malice was the most terrifying...
we moved swiftly, I didn't know how he did it...how he was guiding us around the monsters, he would stop for a moment and his eyes would change from purple to silver and he would know we're to go, maybe he really was a guardian angel.

I thought we were going to make it, we were so close to the edge of the City, but the wing man stop, he looked to be in pain as he held his head, Meknee was worry about him, I didn't know what to do so I sat there anxiously and afraid but as Meknee was trying to help the wing man, I heard something so I turned and look, at first I thought it was Nightmares but as they draw closer there shapes through the fog we're Dragons, my eyes widened as I recognize my father and youngest sister Amber, my heart swelled up with joy that someone else was still alive.... but, but the truth was so horrible...

As I ran to them their features became more clear though the fog, my father had was covered in gory wounds from the Nightmares that we're eating him...and my sister...my little sister, her ones Orange colored scales now had black blemishes on them and black liquid was coming from her maw...but their eyes...I remember their eyes were the same were sinister green as the Nightmares.

I was frozen as more of the Undead came from the fog,
I remember telling myself this isn't real, this just had to be a bad dream, and when I wake up everything would be ok, Everyone would be fine....but this was not a dream and my family was taken from me by Malice...

the shrink of Nightmares Pierce the night, the Undead came at me and I just stood there, as tears fell from my face, that everything was lost... A blinding light Flash from the corner of my eye and zoomed pass to the Undead and consume them, the wing man walk forward with his hand out, and it glow with the silver Light as he was speaking that strange language again, he only stop to Shout " get our of the city, I'll hold them off!"

Meknee ran up behind me and pick me up, as she ran for the outskirts of the city I look back at the wing man as Nightmares and the Undead surrounded him, the last thing I saw was the man now had a tail before I couldn't see past the fog.

We had finally made it out of the city, we keep going until we made it to the Watchtower on top of the hill, and we look back at the city...my home, was consumed in green fire or swallowed in the dark fog, there had to be a dozen or more Tormented Nightmares laying waste to the city but Malice stood out from all of them, he was a towering monster with wings made of Shadows.
Malice's roar made my blood run cold, but he wasn't roaring at me but a different Colossus creature with black armor and 4 wings, the black armor creature ripped one of the Tormented two and then made a taunting gesture to the Nightmare king, I wasn't sure who this person was but I knew they were crazy.

Meknee said we shouldn't linger as the sounds of Nightmares we're coming. We ran into the Forest, the fog was finally getting lighter, to we're it was just the darkness of night, I thought we had made it...but this nightmare was never going to end, the Nightmares had been stalking us, waiting for to slow down and then they striked, I felt a sharp pain as a chain impelled my hide, I screamed as the Nightmare stared to drag me back to we're the fog was

I heard Meknee wolf how as she sent her Magic at the Nightmares to stop them but it only for a moment to free me, she handed me a portal Stone and said " Crimson you got to keep on living " and then activated it and in a Flash I was ripped away...

I opened my tear-stained eyes to a new unfamiliar world, how do I even begin to describe the Agony I was feeling? I lost everything I ever care about and knew in one night and now I was alone... I used to be teased that the blue stripes under my eyes were because I cried to much and they were right but my tears were for a reason...I sat there and wail in pain, grief and anger, I cried out in anguish for all that I lost until I could barely stay awake, I don't know how long I stay there, a day? Two? Maybe more but I finally couldn't cry anymore so I just sat there...I was sick and weak and worst of all I didn't care.

In my Silence of my grief a sweet woman's voice singed " Hush little baby, don't say a word.
Im gonna buy you a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
I'm gonna buy you a diamond ring, and if that diamond ring turns brass, I'm gonna buy you a /looking glass/~"

I turned around to see who the female was only to find a bone White Nightmare standing behind with a Sinister smirk as she finished "And if that looking glass gets broke?~" She hum as his Barb chains impaled me, my screams were quickly silence as I lost consciousness and the last thing I remember was her cold teal slit eyes.

I remember...I remember fluttering between consciousness at some point, my body felt cold and it was hard to breathe, like something had it's grip around my chest, though my blurred vision I remember seen the bone white Nightmare and she was talking to someone...no, I know she was, someone named Hunter and he wanted me for something, but...but I don't remember what, I just remember the female Nightmare noticing me and then singing " go to sleep~ little Prince, close your tear-stained eye-lids, go to sleep~ little Prince, because your family has all died~" and with her song I fell asleep only to have the memories of my family members death play over and over again, tormenting me more and all I want was to join them... But Meknee words echoed in my head "Crimson you got to keep on living " but why? What more is there for me?... As I look back, I didn't know it at the time but I did find a reason to live.
