Story:

Xander, a hybrid of mostly unknown origin, has spent his entire life at The Edge.

The Edge is where some say the world ends, there's nothing but a black pit surrounding it where the sea should be, along with a group of dark clouds.

The rest of it is nothing more than a long dead forest with a cracked stone ground.

In time people began referring to him as the "Monochrome Prince" due to his love of monochromatic patterns and his 'black and white' way of seeing things.

Eventually he had enough of people using this name to mock him, and so he sealed the castle with every soldier he could find being kept inside.
Their souls now wander these dark and empty halls, with some saying the prince has lost his mind.

His true reason for keeping these soldiers trapped here is unknown, but most suspect it's in preperation for the next war.

He often rambles about his days in the first war of Etharia, and he has never stopped his preperations for the next.

His only role in this world is to protect the very humans that mocked him and, despite the years of various forms of cruelty, he is determined to defend them.

Currently he can be found searching for others who would join his cause, traveling the entire world to find them.

However he still returns to The Edge often, in order to guard these people as he promised long ago.

His parents before him, and their parents before them, and many more all filled this same role until death.

He values the work of his ancestors and has never shown any desire to change this, however his journey across the world may one day change his mind.

Personality:

While he's normally rather strict and silent, he does have a soft side for those patient enough to get to know him.

He always commands respect from his people, but will refuse to use violence against anyone who can't match his strength in combat.

He is often seen as a harsh person, someone who doesn't give second chances, but in reality it pains him to avoid these chances.

His usual way of speaking is both direct and polite, rather than waste everyones time he'll get to the point quickly.

However polite he may seem, he is known to hold a grudge, and has held one for over a hundred years now.

It takes a long time for him to forgive any big mistakes, but he still tries to maintain a calm appearance.

He has a strong sense of justice, and will always try to do what's right. He's made more than his fair share of mistakes in life, and now seeks to correct them.

Re: As they say, 'slow and steady wins the race'. :) Without fail in every picture I do, I have moments where I just sit and look at it, thinking about where I want it to go. Sometimes I even branch and practice an Idea on a copy.
