well actually, not quite, von actually doesnt murder every single pony he encounters and actually does talk to others on occasion :P but he's easily pissed off and *SHING-SHING BI.TCH!* when he gets ticked.
he's a serial killer, he doesnt kill /everybody/ but he will make mincemeat of you if you act a certain way or do something that he doesnt like.
he likes to be the one in control, the one who commands respect (through sheer intimidation & fear), standing up to him is a death sentence unless youre hella strong. (like wright, for example)
