The town of Cortland, it seemed like it would of been a nice place, to go out get a drink. You bet your boots that it wasn't, when I arrived at least. The place was a mess, infact this whole country was a mess. Crime is at all time high, people are on a verge of civil war, or so it seems. That's why I'm here, they hired me to deal with these bedlams. Who am I? I hate to answer that, I hate answering anything like it. What does that matter, I'm just like everyone else, some kid trying to make it in this world. I don't necessarily care for what it is that I do, I'm just trying to survive this horrid place.

Unfortunately for me the woman next to me wouldn't shut her mouth, she blabbed on and on. She didn't get, typical. That's right, this was her café or whatever the hell, and apparently everyone has ruined it. "Get down and stop talking!" I said lunging at her, we both fell towards the hard wooden floor behind the counter. Anyone would be upset, but she was by far the most furious one out of all of them. "Who do people think you are? My whole, my- well just look at this!" The woman lifted her head from the floor, her face was all red and her glasses were all bent. "Keep talking and a bullet to the head will answer." I muttered before quickly ducking behind the counter. Just after that a few bullets ricocheted off some cabinets, plates shatterd and cups fell. I leaned and grabbed that dumb girl by the collar, she would of been shot as well. She shrieked at the sudden pull, and then went on to give me a sharp look, obviously she wasn't happy, and her pretty strawberry auburn hair fell forward covering a bit of her gaze. "Who are you? And quit pulling me around like a doll!" She said sternly, damn it, the one question I hated, why did I save her? I should of just left her for the others, would of been easier. "I'm no one." What would I reply with otherwise?

The woman sucked in a breath, "How ridiculous! You're obviously someone, everyone is something, who are you? You know what's going on! don't try and hide it!" At this point I was already tired of the converse, and I started to ignore her. I need to focus on loading my gun, ofcourse that'd be easy for me, normally, I had a pesky chatter bug, and now laying beside me was a newly lit pack of dynamite. How perfect, frankly there was only one thing left to do. Without hesitation I got up and fired my gun, hitting whoever was unlucky enough to cross my line of fire. I scoop up that damn girl and then I crashed through the window before those things could even get a chance to combust. I came right through that window, and we landed on the dusty ground with glass cutting us up.

The woman put her hands through her hair and gasped. "My shop! Now you've boys done it!" If I did care I'd tell her to at least be thankful her head's attached, but I didn't because I don't. "Look this town is under siege for various reasons I'm not even sure myself, I'm just here to take down those men. If you'd just stop fretting over Everything, it'd make it a little easier on all of us alright? Got it lady?"
"Finally you give me some sort of answer! And the names Cherie you scoundrel."
"Whatever just get out of here if you don't want to end up dead."
"I think I'll stay with you, somebody's got to pay for the damages of my shop." Cherie folded her arms, she looked determined, nothing would stop her from following me. "That's stupid, are you mad?"
"This whole thing is stupid, and you're all mad, now tell me your name."
"No one, now get lost!"
"That's not it, and no, tell me"
I wasn't going to get anywhere with her, and she won't shut up until I did.
"It's Jim" I said at last.
