Oh man, this is super cool! :0 your backgrounds always amaze me fghjk and You don't have to necessarily spend a lot of time on an art work, sure it takes more time for a more polished work of art, but as you advance later on you want to try to be able to sketch and draw faster. :0
put it this way, the time you put into a piece not always account for effort, skill, or quality.
re: oh okay, that's not a stupid reason at all though, having doubts like that makes sense.
your art is already so detailed and nice :o
but i understand wanting to have more time dedicated to certain art. I remember feeling bad about drawing stuff for only like 40 mins or less like two years ago, now almost everything takes me at least an hour to finish haha
This is so sad yet beautiful! Honestly, if you can spend only three hours yet make paintings this good and detailed, then you have serious talent there. You don't need to worry about "more effort" x)
Look at it this way: You are able to make already clean and detailed paintings in a short amount of time. Drawing fast is a good efficient habit to have. :) But if you feel like you still want to dedicate more time to your paintings, you're more than welcome to.
I a. Utterly terrified right now. I just asked somebody to redraw something I made in school of a skull, under a tree, with a rose coming up through the jaw and a vine on the head.
this is really intricate and detailed! i love the flower coming thru the skull. i love the buildings in the background. the tire floating by. conveys the sense of melancholy and isolation nicely. also love that lil leaf falling though i have some tips! don't use solid black for shadows. and it might help you spend more time on pieces if you put all the flats of color before adding shade and detail? anyways this was enjoyable to watch and i love it <3
