Many, many, years ago, when Soledormir was free and wars raged across the land. This star-pelted Dreamer served in the wars, mainly in the ones that occurred in the Land of Dreams, she was one of the first Shadow Hunters.
Her name was StarlightDreamer, and she excelled at combat, unmatched by almost any other. Starlight worked well in a team, sometimes seen in her true form with someone on her back, someone who'd specialize in long distance attacks. She was always recognized from even afar, due to her starry pelt.
In battle, she showed no mercy and wouldn't hesitate to give a killing blow, since they were up against Soledormir's dark forces. But to her comrades, she was known as kind, caring and had a heart that kept on giving. She'd put others safety before her own, and that was her downfall...

Her strength was noticed by the Dark King, Soledormir and he successfully captured her and brought her to a place where rescue would never come, no one could save her from the fate that befell her.
Malice, the King of Nightmares, was used by Soledormir to very slowly and very, very painfully, turn her into a Nightmare. It was a slow process on purpose, lasting for days, Starlight's screams would fall on deaf ears.
Soledormir wanted to know if he could use Starlight to figure out how to change, how to alter, Shoji's Contract and make the Nightmares his own. Starlight's strength, resilience and will was the reason she was used. She fought every excruciating second.
Ultimately, Soledormir didn't get what he wanted from Starlight and she was turned into a Nightmare.
The stars faded from her once beautiful pelt, her smile would become one that would later be feared, dark spines rose from her back and her chest hollowed out as Starlight Dreamer died and the first Frost Nightmare was born...

She's so beautiful though, what a pretty design!
