Hiya! This should be enough of us so I can start us off now. Small note : theres going to be a time skip.
After Wren had gone back to his normal self, the beasts returned Smallfin village. They ultimately decided that they would, for now, lock the stone that had corrupted Wren away. The locked box was to be kept with the beasts, while the key was hidden in an unkown location by Rudy. The beasts had said their farewells to Wren, Rudy, and the other villagers before setting off into the unknown. The Chief had pointed them towards the towering buildings far in the distance, and promised they could find additional help there. The journey would likely be a few days on foot. Pyra watched Smallfin disappear into the distance as the beasts made their way into a dense forest ahead, which would likely take a couple days to get through. The leaves above blocked out most sunlight, and the calls of various creatures left Pyra a little unsettled, “Its been a crazy couple of days.” She said aloud.
Parker had been thinking about eying in some much needed practice with his dual blades. Then his mind had drifted to the necklace and goosebumps popped up on his arms. Noticing his distress Areo glided down from the my and perched on his shoulder.
“I think someone in the city will be able to provide us with more information.” Pyra reponded. She hoped someone would.
Pyra paused for a moment to listen to the noise in the woods. It didn’t sound ordinary to her. She glanced upwards and noticed that many birds seemed to be circling them.
Liola wasn't sure what to thing of it, and kept quiet. Which was something she didn't like. She needed some social interaction. Maybe the city could provide it.
Areo looked up at the birds and let out a squawk, bobbing his head, the need to be in the air overwhelming him. But he also felt the need to be with his master, to watch over him in this time of travel. He looked at Parker who smiled at him and looked at the sky, "Go on, I'll be fine Areo. You've earned it." With a quick nuzzle against his cheek Areo took off once more, his wings spread wide. Parker watched his friend for a while, a smile tugging at his lips as he watched him twist and glide with ease in the sky.
Raiden’s comment caught Pyra’s attention, “How long have we even been gone?” she wondered aloud. As she spoke, a stick snapped not far from where they stood, and Pyra glanced in its direction. One of the cats from smallfin walked out from the shadows. It was Wren, she realized almost immediately. He looked exhausted and blood still stained his fur. Pyra drew her sword, and he lifted his arms in an instant to surrender, “I’m sorry.” He cried, “I need your help again. They’re gonna kill me.” Pyra sheathed her sword and glanced at the beasts.
Parker halted and rolled his neck, Areo saw the action immediately and perched on a tree branch. He lowered his head and watched the cat closely. Parker raised a brow, a hand poised behind his back, ready to grab his dual blades at a moments notice.
“The cats..the smallfin cats.” He paused to catch his breathe and lowered his arms, “They ordered me to be executed for all the deaths. I wouldn’t have made it out if it weren’t for Rudy.” Wren wiped sweat from his face and leaned up against a tree.
Pyra couldn’t even begin to comprehend what had happened. Everything had been fine when they left.
“I don’t remember any of it.” Wren promised, “I was with my group, and then I was on the ground, surrounded by guards.” Wren leaned back and struggled to catch his breath some more.
“Someone in the city may be able to help us with that.” Pyra responded to Basil, “With a spell or something.”
Wren perked up as the sounds of footsteps could be heard in the distance, “I’m afraid I’ve put you all in danger. I need your help. Please don’t let them kill me.” he begged.
"I sure hope we get our memories back, i feel like I'm forgetting something, no, someone important..." Liola said, she couldn't think of it and it drove her crazy. They must've been important is she felt like she needed to remember them.
Parker sighed, "I'm gonna have to side with Raiden on this one. If anyone had the slightest hint he was making a get away they could be coming months for us. And I don't want to be around when they do find us." Parker shrugs his shoulder and Areo flies down and perched there, his beak snapping together a few times. Parker was torn through, as much as he wanted to get away, he also wants to get his memories back. He decided to voice his opinion on that as well, "I want my memories back as well, I have a feeling we were locked up a long time in that mountain." He runs a hand through his red hair, "too long. Next time I'm bringing a freaking book."
Pyra held a hand out to Wren and helped him stand. He continued to breathe heavily, but he seemed able to walk for now. “We should get going.” Pyra said as she began walking ahead, “Parker, could you ask Areo to scout ahead?” Basil had made a good point, these cats knew this area well and the beasts would need to know where they were going in order to get away.
Areo bobbed his head in agreement. Parker sighed, "I don't-" Areo bit and pulled on his ear. Parker yelps and gives Areo's head a pat, which makes him let out a loud squawk. If birds could have looks that killed, Parker would be dead on the ground from the state he was getting from Areo. He grumbles, "Fine, we'll try Basil's idea."
(Stare*) Parker shrugged his shoulder and Areo took off in a flurry of feather and flaps of his wings. Parker watches as his best friend disapears from sight. Areo flaps his wings and snaps his beak looking for any signs of trouble.
Areo's wings was all he heard as his eyes scanned from right to left. Nothing was in sight, nothing out of the ordinary. He decided to play the bird card and he dropped to the ground next to a small sparrow that was jumping around. He hopped around and looked at his surroundings. No smells, no one, nothing in sight. He takes to the sky again and circles a little wider. Still nothing, and then a small figure to the left. He flaps down and lands on a branch and tilts his head, his sight narrowing in on the small cat. He sniffs and sure enough it has the smell from the village. He bounces off the branch and flies back towards his master to tell him the news.
Wren quickly followed after the group, feeling relieved to be moving again. Pyra stayed close beside him, and couldn’t keep herself from glancing behind them every few moments. Each time she expected to see the soldiers approaching, but now that they were moving the footsteps began to fade a little. They were okay, for now anyways.
Parker's shoulders were hunched as he watched the sky. He didn't know he had fallen in stride with Raiden until he was standing right next to him. He looked over at the man rabbit and raised a brow, "How you doing pal?"
Pyra glanced towards the sky, and remembered the circling birds from earlier. They flew lower now, and seemed to be following the group. It wasn’t just the birds that appeared to follow though. Other creatures, such as foxes, seemed to travel alongside the group. The stayed in the shadows, but their dark eyes watching their every move made her uneasy.
Parker shrugged, worry etched into his face, "Alright I guess? I'm worried I guess? I'm actually not even sure." He shoves his hands into his pockets. "I feel like I'm missing something important, and I hope who ever is in this city that they can help us.
...
Areo flapped his wings like crazy, the wind roaring over him. He was running out of breath though and he took a seat on a branch in the forest. He knew he needed to get back to his master, but what if he could distract who ever that was? He twists his head around to the general location where the figure had been. Footsteps were drawing nearer and he let out a low squawk and took to the sky once more.
Parker glanced at all of the woodland creatures darting in and out of their path. That's when Areo comes into view and lands on his shoulder quite harshly, almost falling off. He wheezes out of his little beak like he just ran a marathon, which seemingly he kind of did. "Areo, breathe." The little bird let out a squeak, as if it say 'I know that you idiot, give my a minute!'
Wren laughed, “I don’t think they can do that.” he responded to Basil. Wren jumped as a snake appeared and launched itself at his foot. He quickly kicked it away, and froze as he noticed the other creatures watching. They were even closer now, and as Pyra could get a close look a them, she realized they had the same dead look in their eyes Wren had back when they had fought him the previous day, “They’re being controlled.” she realized. However, no gems or anything of the sort hung from their necks.
Parker looked over at Basil as Areo fought to catch his breath, "No, I think I'm Snow White and you guys are my dwarves. High ho boys. It's off to work we go." He flashes a smug smirk and looked back at his bird.
Areo squawked and Parker rolled his eyes at Basil's comment. He looks over at Areo who has a glare on his face and he flaps his wings, telling of the figure in the woods. Parker looks up, "Areo said he saw someone that might have been from the village up ahead, not necessarily in our path, but here none the less." Parker watches as a snake takes particular interest in Areo. He looks at his bird, "Could you talk to them?" Areo looks at him and tilts his head considering the idea.
A fox hurled itself at Caminus al of a sudden, letting out an odd scream as it did so. It seemed to struggle against the force controling it. Pyra grabbed its tail and attempted to pull it away. “They’re still alive, I think.” Pyra said, “I don’t want to hurt them” she said as she struggled with the fox.
“Its possible” Pyra responded to Basil as she, with the help of Liola, managed to tear the fox away, “Perhaps our best option would be to hide for now until we can figure something out.” She glanced at Wren, who looked completely exhausted.
Parker shakes his head, "I'm like Liola, leave me out and I can fend off attacks, it'll be our best chance. Areo can maybe try to reason with them?... If all else fails we run... You don't have to be the fastest." He smirks and shrugs, "you just gotta be faster than the person next to you."
Liola grinned and edged beside him. "Well, I'm sure that'll be easy." She shifted into her Mountain Lion form and bared her teeth at the creatures, hoping it would intimidate them somehow.
“I can scout ahead and find some place to hide.” Pyra said. Her eyes suddenly let off an intense glow, and flames came out from them. The flames shaped into a fox, and it landed on the ground ahead. With a swish of its tail, it ran forward. Its body made of flames caused the other creatures to get out of its way as it rushed ahead. Pyra’s eyes shut and she remained completely still while seeing from the fiery fox’s eyes.
Pyra rushed ahead, looking for anything. She knew she would have to be quick, since it was only a matter of time before the flames went out and she would return to her own body. As she ran for a few moments, a cave entrance hidden among some trees caught her attention. She ran inside, and despite the darkness could see okay thanks to the light she gave off. Realizing it seemed big enough to hide in, she opened her eyes and was in her own body again, “ I know where we can go” Pyra said
Pyra paused by the cave. Wren rushed ahead and sat down near the entrance, while Pyra stood and waited for the rest of the group, “Perhaps I should’ve slowed down.” she muttered.
Parker nearly runs into Pyras back when she stops. He skids to a halt and looks at the cave they're standing in front of. "Well that's not ominous..." He mumbles, crossing his arms over his chest.
Pyra glanced around, she summoned a flame with her hand and let go of it. It began to float into the cave and illuminated the path ahead. She looked back at the rest of the group and finally entered it. She helped Wren up again and began heading in. The ground began to slope downwards, and before she knew it they were heading deep underground.
Liola laid down once she reached the cave, she had kicked the squirrel earlier, but she didn't feel too bad about. She was content to stay in this form and lay on the cool stone. There was no bag on her back, or long friggin hair to get in the way or worry about in this form.
Parker caustiously stepped into the cave, his body coiled like a spring. Areo flies in and perches on his shoulder, Parker reaches up and hold his beak with two fingers. Areo lets out a muffled squawk, and then grabs a little bit of the skin on Parker's thumb and bites down. He yanks his hand back and Areo pokes his cheek with his beak.
Parker mumbles something about a canary and walks up till he's next to a Pyra, Areo tilts his head in confusion, Parker follows suit and quietly says, "Uhh, what exactly am I looking at? Because all I see is rocks, rocks, rocks and some more rocks. Nope wait there's a small beetle crawling on the wall over there." Areo looks over at the bug quickly, interested in his next meal.
“Here” Wren said all of a sudden without looking away. A crystal of some sort jutted out from the wall. It gave off a soft glow and looked nearly exactly like the one from the cavern the beasts had awakened in. Wren touched it, and runes lit up all along the cavern walls. However, no beasts emerged from the cave this time. There was only silence after. The crystal and runes gave off a dark grey glow instead of the blue one from their cavern. Glass was shattered on the floor, and the remains of fire wood could be seen in a corner. The crystal was slightly cracked here and there too.
“Something feels...odd” Pyra said, breaking the silence. A dark fealing washed over her as she drew closer to the crystal. Wren leaned against the wall and shut his eyes tightly. Something was very wrong here.
“Oh no.” Pyra said as she glanced at Wren. His eyes had gone all weird again. The lifeless look from before had returned. Pyra backed away, “You have to fight it, Wren” Wren’s eyes went normal again for a second, before going blank once again only a moment later. Pyra glanced at the crystal. It glowed brightly when Wren was under its control.
Parker took another step back, and watched the crystal, "You have a big rock or something Pyra? You know, to just chuck at it?..." Areo still had his head buried in his wing, keeping his eyes off of the crystal.
Parker took several steps back and waited for Radien to strike the crystal, dread curling up at what might happen if he struck it. That's why He had suggested the rock, it was a projectile, but then again so are daggers...
Pyra covered her head as its shards flew in every direction. They glowed less now, but it seemed they still gave off bits of power. The darkness she could feel was nowhere near as worse now. Wren lifted his head and let out a sigh of relief. Pyra picked up one of the shards and examined it, “We should...dispose of these somehow.” she said.
“Huh..” Pyra sighed. “I guess we should hold onto them for now.” Pyra gathered a few of them.
(Also,, I’m really sorry to go, but is everyone okay with ending here? My parents want me to get off of my phone so I can’t continue much longer. I’m really sorry.)

“Thank you” Pyra responded happily.
The footsteps seemed a bit closer now, and Wren anxiously paced as he waited for the group to begin moving.
28 Jul, 2018, 10:28 pm
"Well, shall we get going again?" Liola asked, impatient to just be moving again.

28 Jul, 2018, 10:57 pm
Areo squawked and Parker rolled his eyes at Basil's comment. He looks over at Areo who has a glare on his face and he flaps his wings, telling of the figure in the woods. Parker looks up,

28 Jul, 2018, 11:06 pm
Areo squawks and Parker tilts his head,
"It's a possibility, me and Areo could go after him, that way we won't attract too much attention..."
28 Jul, 2018, 11:09 pm
“Its possible” Pyra responded to Basil as she, with the help of Liola, managed to tear the fox away, “Perhaps our best option would be to hide for now until we can figure something out.” She glanced at Wren, who looked completely exhausted.

"I'm not entirely sure, everyone is running off in different directions!!"
28 Jul, 2018, 11:23 pm
(Poor Raiden)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:25 pm
(aw heck I’m sorry @ #Kole)
Pyra rushed ahead, looking for anything. She knew she would have to be quick, since it was only a matter of time before the flames went out and she would return to her own body. As she ran for a few moments, a cave entrance hidden among some trees caught her attention. She ran inside, and despite the darkness could see okay thanks to the light she gave off. Realizing it seemed big enough to hide in, she opened her eyes and was in her own body again, “ I know where we can go” Pyra said
28 Jul, 2018, 11:29 pm
“Follow me.” Pyra called to the group as she rushed ahead. Wren pushed a deer off himself and hurried after her.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:32 pm
Parker runs after Pyra, needing an excuse to get away from all of the confusion, Areo takes to the sky follow a few beats behind.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:32 pm
Liola hesitated, and took a moment to pick off a couple chipmunks then crawled up Basil's back, not entirely comfortable about it.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:33 pm
(Its okay Frost lol, sorry I didnt mean for this to become so chaotic)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:35 pm
Pyra paused by the cave. Wren rushed ahead and sat down near the entrance, while Pyra stood and waited for the rest of the group, “Perhaps I should’ve slowed down.” she muttered.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:36 pm
(Shhhhhhhhhhhhh, pretend that didn't happen)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:36 pm
( I just died laughing picturing Liola hanging onto Basil)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:37 pm
(Ah okay lol)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:37 pm
Liola bounded after Pyra, she didn't have the best endurance, but a rogue squirrel right on her heels was plenty motivation to go faster.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:38 pm
Parker nearly runs into Pyras back when she stops. He skids to a halt and looks at the cave they're standing in front of.
"Well that's not ominous..." He mumbles, crossing his arms over his chest.
(Chaotic scenes call for chaotic measures!)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:38 pm
(That would be funny tho lol)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:39 pm
(I'll probably have to go soon... Bleh...)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:40 pm
(Can someone say piggy back ride?)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:41 pm
Pyra glanced around, she summoned a flame with her hand and let go of it. It began to float into the cave and illuminated the path ahead. She looked back at the rest of the group and finally entered it. She helped Wren up again and began heading in. The ground began to slope downwards, and before she knew it they were heading deep underground.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:43 pm
Liola laid down once she reached the cave, she had kicked the squirrel earlier, but she didn't feel too bad about. She was content to stay in this form and lay on the cool stone. There was no bag on her back, or long friggin hair to get in the way or worry about in this form.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:44 pm
She grudgingly got up and followed them down.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:45 pm
Parker caustiously stepped into the cave, his body coiled like a spring. Areo flies in and perches on his shoulder, Parker reaches up and hold his beak with two fingers. Areo lets out a muffled squawk, and then grabs a little bit of the skin on Parker's thumb and bites down. He yanks his hand back and Areo pokes his cheek with his beak.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:47 pm
(Bye frost!)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:47 pm
(Aw, rip, baii)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:47 pm
“Guys, you all need to see this.” Pyra said, turning back towards the group. Wren stood a little bit ahead, and he seemed to be examining something.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:48 pm
(Aw bye frost)
28 Jul, 2018, 11:48 pm
Liola edged forward to so what he was looking at.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:48 pm
*see
28 Jul, 2018, 11:50 pm
Parker mumbles something about a canary and walks up till he's next to a Pyra, Areo tilts his head in confusion, Parker follows suit and quietly says,
"Uhh, what exactly am I looking at? Because all I see is rocks, rocks, rocks and some more rocks. Nope wait there's a small beetle crawling on the wall over there." Areo looks over at the bug quickly, interested in his next meal.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:56 pm
“Here” Wren said all of a sudden without looking away. A crystal of some sort jutted out from the wall. It gave off a soft glow and looked nearly exactly like the one from the cavern the beasts had awakened in. Wren touched it, and runes lit up all along the cavern walls. However, no beasts emerged from the cave this time. There was only silence after. The crystal and runes gave off a dark grey glow instead of the blue one from their cavern. Glass was shattered on the floor, and the remains of fire wood could be seen in a corner. The crystal was slightly cracked here and there too.
28 Jul, 2018, 11:58 pm
“Something feels...odd” Pyra said, breaking the silence. A dark fealing washed over her as she drew closer to the crystal. Wren leaned against the wall and shut his eyes tightly. Something was very wrong here.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:00 am
Liola shifted back to her human form and stepped back. "Maybe we should step back for a bit.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:00 am
*" She suggested
29 Jul, 2018, 12:01 am
(I'm going to disappear for a bit, food)
29 Jul, 2018, 12:05 am
Parker steps back as the crystal glows and Areo tucks his head in his wing,
"Uh, that's not a good sign..."
29 Jul, 2018, 12:05 am
( @WxDragonGirlxB ah okay!)
29 Jul, 2018, 12:11 am
(okay!)
Pyra nervously nodded at Raiden.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:13 am
Parker took another step back, and watched the crystal,
"You have a big rock or something Pyra? You know, to just chuck at it?..." Areo still had his head buried in his wing, keeping his eyes off of the crystal.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:15 am
"Somebody's gotta do somethin." Liola said.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:21 am
(Welcome back Kole!)
29 Jul, 2018, 12:24 am
Parker took several steps back and waited for Radien to strike the crystal, dread curling up at what might happen if he struck it. That's why He had suggested the rock, it was a projectile, but then again so are daggers...
29 Jul, 2018, 12:24 am
(Sorry I disappeared too. I posted a comment but when I went to check it was gone. Colors glitched or something.)
Wren covered his head and fought the magic trying to control him. Pyra rushed to his side and whispered something in his ear.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:28 am
Liola looked over at Wren to see if the shattering plan had worked. Because if it hadn't, they were kinda screwed.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:32 am
Pyra covered her head as its shards flew in every direction. They glowed less now, but it seemed they still gave off bits of power. The darkness she could feel was nowhere near as worse now. Wren lifted his head and let out a sigh of relief. Pyra picked up one of the shards and examined it, “We should...dispose of these somehow.” she said.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:34 am
"Is there any lava we can drop it in?" Liola asked, half jokingly, but wished there was.
29 Jul, 2018, 12:37 am
“Huh..” Pyra sighed. “I guess we should hold onto them for now.” Pyra gathered a few of them.
(Also,, I’m really sorry to go, but is everyone okay with ending here? My parents want me to get off of my phone so I can’t continue much longer. I’m really sorry.)
29 Jul, 2018, 12:38 am
(That's okay with me, seems like a good spot)
29 Jul, 2018, 12:39 am
(Ah, alright, thank you)
29 Jul, 2018, 12:43 am
(Thank you!! See ya all next week!)
