Re- Art restoration is when people take older paintings (usually by famous artists like picasso) and restore them by using special tools.
For example, if a painting has started to chip away in some areas, professionals will paint over the cracks with the perfect colors so it looks almost brand new.
They also use special alcohols and stuff to brighten the painting a little and take away the dust.
I understand why it's important but I wouldn't want anyone messing around with a painting I made, yknow?
