The eyes of the Zeharu, no two are the same. Each Zeharu has different colored eyes, it might look similar at a glance, you might even have to get real close to see a difference. But there's a slight hue that makes one red eyed Zeharu different from the other red eyed Zeharu next to it. (Mae and Calida for example, Cali's would be a darker, more blood red and Mae's would be lighter, especially closer to her pupil, where there would be very faint pink tinting)
Typically when a Zeharu shifts, gets angry, annoyed, etc... Their eyes will begin to change (As you see with Eiro's in the picture above).
As their pupils and eyes alter, so does their vision.
In their human forms, most Zeharu's eyes are on par with the average humans (Save for Storm and Nightmare variants, who have excellent eyesight. Earth variants have poor eyesight/below average)
Except for Jeremiah, Soul-Thieves, some Nightmares, some Earth variants, Oblivion and Orion (Who's eyes don't change). When a Zeharu's pupil begins to slit, their vision enhances. They could see much further away and in more detail.
Except for in the dark, their pupils would round out, much like a cats. They would lose some enhancement in the dark, but would have better night vision than a human could ever hope for.

The Variant of Life and Death
Jeremiah's eyes are the most unique and never change, they don't slit, but they do round out so he can see better in the dark. Even in his true form, they don't change.
He has poorer eyesight than most.
Making him a clumsy healer, he might miss a wound or two. Or if someone is next to him, he might accidentally heal them instead of the one in front of him. Because he struggles to control his abilities and he's the only life variant.
He was artificially created, which some think explains his odd eyes.

The Underworld Guardian
Oblivion's pupils never change. Always slit and his vision is better than any other Zeharu's. Except for at night or in very dark places, his eye sight becomes poor like an Earth variant's.
(On a side note)
Oblvion has the best sense of smell, better than anyone else's and he can use that to his advantage in dark places.
Orion knows this, and it's another reason why he's hated xD

To the Stars!
Orion has average eyesight, it's not poor, but it's not great. His eyes are almost always filled with stars, like his hair.
But if the stars fade from his eyes and his hair... Pray he doesn't catch you. It's how one can tell when Orion's serious, and not many can stop him once he is.

No Blind Spots?
Raven's eyes in his true form (both for his humanoid and Zeharu forms) can move separately, he has a total of 6 of these eyes and can look in 6 different directions.
Some think, in this form, he has no blind spot. But he does. At the center back of his head and his back. But no one's really stupid enough to get that close and surprise attack him.
After all, who wants to lose an arm, leg or their life?

The Window to the Soul
Nekana, Zurie, Soul and any other soul-thief's eyes are the most unique. The dark sclera remains in both human and true form. So whoever gazes into their eyes, is drawn right to the pupil.

The Eyes of the King
King's eyes, the pupils often look like a blooming white flower. It's mesmerizing to stare into his eyes and whoever does, feels calm and at peace.

Yes, when a Zeharu shifts, their eyeballs get bigger to fit into their changing skulls.
It feels uncomfortable to young Zeharu, who are new to shifting. But usually by 70 years human, the Zeharu has grown use to all the pains and discomforts of shifting.
It all depends on how often a Zeharu shifts. The longer they put it off, for either form, the slower and more painful their shifting will be.
Of course, eyes aren't the only discomfort.
But ah heck, this is an eye post. I'll go into other details another time.
