Hi. I've been a silent appreciator of loewenzahn's work for a while now and the contest concept intrigued me, so I gave it a shot. Explaining this guy in detail might take a bit so bear with me.
Originally, I was torn between a corvid or a rodent as the animal of choice, but I eventually decided that slapping scales on a rat would be more fitting, making the bird ties a lot more subtle for the sake of simplicity. This gave me an excuse to add things like brown fur and a horrific overbite, which describes my physical appearance accurately enough. The thing would be cave-dwelling and flightless, but the vivid colors on its shrunken wings are used as an intimidation tactic to make the creature look much grander than it truly is, which I'm sure fools someone out there. Its perk can be described as an “aura of nausea” of sorts, causing living things to become more ill the closer the creature is to them, though the effects fade once they leave the creature’s vicinity.

Now that I’ve spent a solid 25 minuets admiring this: Oh MY GOODness This is amazing! I absolutely adore what you’ve done with the concept. It’s so unique. I really like those wings and that tail and that face. I love everything about this and I could go on forever so I’m just gonna stop now. You’re amazing, bye.

This is amazing! The design is just... wow! Perfectly executed, lovely colors, and I feel as if it is uniquely your own. I don't know exactly what I mean by that, but this is great all the same!

Hey everyone. Just wanted to thank you all a ton for the comments. In all of my six-ish years of being on this site, I can't recall ever getting this degree of genuine and thoughtful recognition, especially from some of my favorite artists currently on this site. It's not very often that I have something worth smiling about, so uh, thanks.

Ehhheh, I would've advised against looking at anything before 2015 but oh well. I'm glad you like it and that my spook style hasn't lost its luster.
