Energy Swords are pretty cool, I used to essentially hog them back in Halo 2 and 3's multiplayer. They were my favorite weapon then.
(I still like them a fair bit now, I just rarely ever use them when I play any Halo. I opt for BRs, DMRs or snipers instead :P)
I remember people starting rumors that you could duel wield swords, in Halo 3 people would go in forge, postition a sword so it looked like someone was holding two swords and take pics of it and put nonsense in the pic descriptions. lol

Dual wielding the swords would be pretty pointless, but being able to wield a sword and a gun like a magnum, needler or plasma pistol would be awesome~
