(I'm down to help out with procatinating)
with a deep sigh, Verna decided to start the day by making food for her and Remi. Afterward thought about what to do for the day.

(True fam ;) )
Hesper found herself wandering around the ship, to get a feel for the place, but mostly was keeping her eyes open for someone. In the midst of her search, she spotted Verna, and a familiar feeling of alertness stirred in her, as she dodged out of sight.

"Hm? you felt that Remi?" cocking her head to the small Shiba Inu that'd wagged its tail no matter the situation the two are in. "It was almost like someone tried to avoid us, I wonder whom it was," she said to herself with rubbing her chin and a sway of her tail. "oh well let's go Remi." the little dog followed her masters orders and proceed to the kitchen.

Satisfaction washed over her that she wasn't caught, though she wasn't sure why. At the same time, she wondered what a law enforcer was doing here, and wondered if Cadeo had already known of this? Sneakily, she followed the officer into the kitchen.

After coming into the kitchen of the ship Verna began her search for the "dog bowl" for Remi and ingredients for breakfast. The thought of making food for everyone this morning had given her a small smile to form on her face."Remi what should I make for everyone today? Doenjang soup or Buchimgae? maybe something else." she hummed with thought of many possibilities

Still hiding behind miscellaneous objects, Hesper thought it was kind of odd to hear the policewoman go about her business in such an honest way. She had known authority figures to be brutal and forceful. She thought about making a run for it and finding Cadeo to ask for advice, but as she started to consider it, a bright, sunny light began emitting from her, and illuminating the entire room. She began to look all over herself in a panicked attempt at getting it to stop, but it was too late.

"what in the?" Verna said in confusion "who turned on the lights?" picking up her head to see a girl with Ginger hair "This is a new thing, not quite use to seeing in the line of duty." with a quick dusting of herself she walked over and decided to greet the morning guest. "I'm still learning the names of everyone on the ship I'm Verna, Jeong and that there is my police dog Remi." she waited for a response

Hesper stood in a defensive stance, reaching for her lasergun, but remembering she had left it in her cabin. "Stay back, you can't fool me! I haven't done anything wrong!" She blurted out, trying to sound sure of herself, but her flushed cheeks said otherwise.

"uwa?" in confusion "who said you did something wrong, I'm just saying hi." It didn't take long for Verna to realize why Hesper is up on a fence post flustered. "You know not all policemen are bad people. And we don't arrest people on a whim." with rubbing the back of her neck and continued "So could you give me a chance, please?" Remi was on the floor waiting for what to happen

Hesper hesitated, not wanting to admit that she probably had done quite a few things that could be classified as "wrong" in the past week alone. But she held her tongue, instead asking, "So what's a blue doing in a place like this then?" Referring to Verna's uniform.

"making breakfast for everyone this morning and Remi's as well, all though I could ask you a similar question. Instead, I'll what you like for breakfast this morning?" she paused did a little stretch and a flip of the tail then continued. "Since your the early bird in all"

Hesper, still hesitant, notices the door opening, but the person on the other side not entering. She turns back to Verna, a sly grin on her face. "Oh are you sure about that? You don't really expect me to believe you were just trying to make breakfast, do you? Give it up, the real chef is over there!" She points to the door, referring to the slight view of Clive's apron.

"I have vegetables on the counter even eggs." she'd paused to look over to see clive with his demur looking like he'd step into a crime scene. "Plus I'm 100% sure he'd worn that to bed, look at what I'm trying to say is give me a chance with my cooking it's going to tasty I swear!" Verna was showing her stubbornness when person gives her a lack of faith

Hesper narrowed her eyes, starting to see that Verna wasn't forcing her authority. But a slow grin spread on her face, when I sensed that she could conduct the situation a bit now. "Sounds like something an undercover cop would say. Why don't we ask him to clarify?"

"what no, Clive was it? I'm having a conversation with Hesper to prove I'm just doing some cooking and nothing else." she'd paused for a moment. then continued "I'm sorry for saying anything that'd hurt you, Clive. it's just that I say things out of frustration." "and don't worry so far I've to touch only the spinach"

Hesper found herself enjoying the situation much more now, snickering over the misunderstanding. "Tomatoes are delicious. In fact, everything might taste better now that the ingredients have been cross contaminated by them. Right, officer?"

"I'm sure what's your goal now anymore but." She'd paused to herself and had a though, she could play along to see what could happen or find a way to do the right thing, for now, she's in a pickle and having zero back-ups she's screwed either way. "your not wrong though I tried not to touch all of the produce just in case." ("I'll play her game and maybe then she'll trust me.")
[it's not like you can take the moon or something]

"you haven't I just hear your name a lot plus I always make sure I have clean hands while I work its rule of thumb in the kitchen." Verna's tail gave a quick thwip to the side when she'd answered clive. "So no worries."

Hesper gasps in mock shock. "But using a tail in a place like this? How can we be sure you didn't touch the food with that thing? Did you make sure to wash it too?"

"Believe it or not I wrap my tail around my stomach as I work it's a bit of hindrance to me." she'd told Hesper with honesty and with that she wrapped her tail around for the time being. "I could keep arguing with you or I get down to work" Verna qued Clive "You want to help cook with me Clive I'm thinking of making Buchimgae which are technically veggie pancakes. My mom would make then we I'd visited off of work."

Hesper's smug expression dropped as Verna turned away. "Wait, you don't want to know my name anymore? What's up with that? Suddenly I'm not worth your time?"

"who Remi? she won't bite or attack (unless on command) but she could leave the kitchen if you want." with a quick whistle Remi took the queue to leave the premise and scamper off to Verna's cabin

"we've been run around the bush and I realized that I've been trying too hard with some trying to mess with me." she'd paused for a moment. "Now if you want to give me a chance at being your teammate I'll happily chat with you more."

"Hmph! Very well!" She flops down into a chair, and crosses her legs in an exaggerated fashion. "You can call me... Grian. It's a surname."

"Alright, Miss Grian you can call me by last name as well it's Jeong. There's no need to include the officer at the beginning of it Jeong is fine." With that Verna turned her attention to Clive "there's no need to be worried Clive, so how about it? You'll help me out?"

(heated dispute between to woman :V)

"I was looking for Ca- err.." She pauses, unwilling to explain her reasons. "Hey yknow, you totally are prying, and that's not cool!" She crosses her arms, and tries to focus on not glowing again.

“You were looking someone named ca? What a odd name” Verna chuckled with her quip she’d made at that moment. “Clive could you be a dear and chop up some of that spinach?”

Hesper snorted. "Yeah I mean, you apparently don't know everyone on this ship. They could-" At that precise moment, Cadeo waltzed in right past Hesper, yawning loudly. "What's for breakfast?"

“I’m thinking of Buchimgae for today what do you think Cadeo?” Verna had answered with while her back was to him as she had chopped up the ingredients. “By the way have you’ve heard a person named ca? Grian mettion them before you’d came in.”

With a quick nod to confirm the spinach has been washed. “Hm.. I should look into finding the cabbagenaper soon because someone might have a dish where it’s need.”

"Hm? Grian?" He turned and looked at Hesper, who's face was burning red. "Oh, Hesper! Using that old alias again, huh?"
She grimaced. "Its not an alias if you announce it like that!!"
He laughed, ignoring her begrudging attitude. "What're you here this early for? Trying to steal ingredients again?"
She rolled her eyes. "No, I thought you'd be here. You weren't in your cabin, so I thought you were already up!"
He shrugged. "You don't have to go searching for me. I might just be in someone else's cabin."
Hesper scowled.

"I highly suggest fucking off.." Hesper mutters under her breath.
"I don't think Clive caught that," Cadeo says, a light laugh in his voice.
"I said, I haven't swiped anything, but will keep an eye out for the person who did!" She says with a bright smile.

“I’ll have to agree with Clive people need those to cook with.” She said as the carrots were being chopped by her and was planning on chopping some zucchini as well. “Besides that I’m thinking of making this a hybrid “pancake” any who what kind of meat should we use?”

Cadeo walked over and picked a slice of zucchini from the pile, nibbling on it as he spoke. "I'm no culinary expert, but anything is fine as long as it's made with love. There's a reason guys go for a woman with good cooking skills, isn't that right?" He chuckled.

“Jeez this sounds more touchy subject how about we change it?” With no warning Fylnt had arrived by phasing into the room “play now I though that I was the early bird of crew.” Looking around with the statement made. “Any who watcha guys making this morning?”

"Thank you!" A disgusted looking Hesper said to Fylnt, grateful for a subject change.
Cadeo looked unphased by her interruption. "Vegan love pancakes. Hungry, Stripes?"

“Oh hey Captain casa nova, and you bet I’m starving.” She said with half of her body in the room. “Hold on I'm a bit stuck in the wall.” She began to shimmy herself out. “Oh good morning kalford.” Noticing her name being mention. “Oh! Officer Jeong didn’t expect you to be the cook this morning.” She’d said in glee to Verna. “So what with the tenshion in the air?”

Cadeo ignored the dagger stares Hesper was shooting him and Fylnt. "I don't know what you're talking about," He said with a shrug. "Everyone is perfectly relaxed in here. Well.. Most everyone." He spared a concerned glance at Clive's tense shoulders.

“Clive’s holding a knife at me sooo I’m not sure right about know but. For now I’ll chill in here until I’ll get to notify people for break

After a slight pause, Cadeo and Hesper break into fits of laughter over Clive's blunder, unaware that they are probably making it worse for him. "Real smooth, Chef Sly Knife!" Hesper gasps between laughs.

Almost in a duo fashion Verna and Fylnt has said .”alrighty then.” Not Noticing that’d happen Verna continued to work on breakfast

Cadeo watches Clive leave, a light look of worry mixed with something akin to amusement on his face. "He'll be fine," says Hesper, not giving it another thought. "So, Officer J, what exactly is your station anyway?"

"My station?" Verna Paused for the moment to figure out what in the hell Hesper was talking about until it'd hit her "haha very funny if your talking about my cabin it's nice and tidy with a dog bed for Remi." she'd stop talking for the moment to lend down to get a frying pan for breakfast. While that was happening Fylnt started to talk with Cadeo. "So it's been a while to be on this ship, I wonder how big Xander and Connie are."

Hesper dropped her light hearted expression, looking no nonsense and irritated. "Don't play dumb, I mean your position. Deputy? Undercover cop? Admit it, you're just trying to find faults in the crew so you can throw us all in the slammer."
Cadeo didn't seem to mind Hesper's ranting, instead casually turning to Fylnt. "Oh yeah, your family, huh? You should write them."

"since your so prying so much about my status Miss. Grian I'm a Lieutenant and not an undercover cop." she's said when rising up from getting her pan." And how I'm going to put his crew in for? smuggling, hostages, robbery? I've hadn't been here for 2 weeks so I'm not even sure what I'd even arrest you with." Verna had answered her with her voice hinted she was getting annoyed.
Doing a little stretch Fylnt had replied "I actually have some done we just need to land in a town to mail them." she'd said with a smile

Cadeo chuckled. "Yeah, maybe you should lay off the questions now, Hesp. She's making you breakfast, after all," he said, ruffling her hair a bit.
She looked even more irritated. "But she's a cop!"
He grinned. "Does that mean she has handcuffs?"

"I've been interrogated by worse of people before Grian, it's just that she has no faith with me." Verna has sighed under her breath with that been said and done but continued. "I may be cop yes but I'm also a person under the uniform.'

Hesper ignored Verna, especially her last comment, turning instead to Clive. "Hey, do you need any help?" She asked cheerily, hoping to rid herself of the subject of police. Cadeo watched her, before giving Verna an amused shrug.

"satisfied?" Verna asked to see if Hesper would react to what was said to her. she'd then proceed to get breakfast done with each "pancake" prepped before everyone else had woken up. Now done with one task she'd begun to make Remi's breakfast for the time being.
"Hey, Cadeo you got family too right? why not write them a letter too?" Fylnt asked out of sincerity for her friend

Hesper begins helping to clean up the mess until she hears Fylnt's question, to which she snaps her gaze at her, shooting daggers, and dropping the dustpan full of spinach she was carrying.
But Cadeo doesn't seem bothered by it at all. "Oh yeah, I do, but they probably don't think I'm alive anymore." He added a light laugh.

Hesper, without looking at Clive, agreed. "Right. Let's avoid sensitive subjects. How about we talk about something more light?" She causally went back to sweeping. "So Fylnt, how long have you actually known Cadeo?" She said politely, but an edge of venom played in her voice.

" For a few months actually." Fylnt had said with pride in her voice "We'd made a combo move and it's with my echolocation ability and his tech we'd made a sonar for the crew!" excitement almost took her over as she'd spoken about the possibility of more combo moves
"Maybe Kalford you could introduce me to more of the crew some time."

Cadeo laughed. "You're sounding pretty geeky, Stripes. But.. It was pretty badass of us."
Hesper shrugged, looking away. "Well, I've known him since we were ten."
But Cadeo didnt seem to hear her, taking a spinach leaf from the pile Verna had saved, and nibbled on that too. "Yeah we could set up a get together. When we're not on a mission that is. The wall flower here sure could use it," he pointed at Clive with his thumb.

"well you got red-pawed," Fylnt said jokingly when she was prompted about geeking out. "so you two were childhood friends that's really sweet Cadeo." the thought made her giggle a bit. "oh and get together sounds lovely Cadeo!"
"hey as a heads up food is almost ready could someone alert the others for food?"

"I'll let them know over the intercom." He said, leaving the room for a moment.
Hesper sat silent, glancing around the room with watchful eyes.

"Huh? Oh right," Hesper said, with little interest, "No problem, uh.. Clint, yeah?"

"Thank you Cadeo you're a super help for me for this morning." Verna paused for a moment to plan out what she'd say the resumed. "how about the remaining party members help me set the very large dining table for this morning?"
"I'll help you officer- I mean, Jeong!" chimed Fylnt

"Fylnt but pronounce it like flint if you can Hesper was it?" Fylnt answered with

Hesper still looked bored. "Actually, I was talking to Clave." She said, pointing to Clive.
Cadeo returned, yawning again. "Alright, everyone should be alerted. But it's up to their lazy arses if they want to get up in time."

"Oh never mind then," Fylnt said to herself before Cadeo had entered the room with everyone else.
"Thank you Cadeo for doing that for me, another question is what should I serve this with. any suggestions?" Verna had asked the people in the room with

Cadeo shrugged. "Like I said, I'm not culinary expert."
"My question is, what's the spinach for?" Hesper asked skeptically.

"it's in the Veggie pancake like Cadeo had quoted and I only ask is because usually these are eaten with something else." Verna had answered Hesper with
"I got a question too Jeong! what was the of your town we'd didn't stay too long in port so I didn't get to know what your place is called." Asked Fylnt
