I like to image Garrum going through the aging process of a dragon, rather then a donkey. With that being said, as the years go on he becomes more like a dragon rather than a donkey, gaining new scales, new horns and even his teeth elongating. Naturally, with all of these changes, he grows into even more of a grump, really only putting up with Dazzle.
