If you still need idea's then how about trying to design a robot?
-A computer monitor/tv head would look cool/cute.
-Perhaps add wheels to the feet? Or even replace the feet with wheels.
-Alot of robot characters usually have really humanoid bodies so a body thats less humanoid then usuall would be nice to see.
-You could either keep the design simple or maybe make it abit more comlicated.
-Perhaps give it some kind of a theme? (Like instead of it just being a regular robot maybe it could be like a themed robot?)
These are just some idea's I had. (As you can tell I love robots)

Personality wise hm, i'd say themed the personality off of something. Either it's there job or something about there past you could theme the personality off of a bunch of different things.

If it's perfectly fine with you could you design a character somewhat similar to this-
Gender- Female
For the hair i'd like to see a non natural color, Obviously it doesn't have to be but i'd prefer it like that.
As for the clothing i'd like to see something japanese like a kimono or something, and other japanese type things if possible.
Some extra things id like to see with the character are neat designs on her skin, Sorta like if someone decided to paint parts of your skin but it looks cool. Another thing that would be nice is the character having a parasol/umbrella.
and one last thing- i'd like if the character has more of a japanese theme to them
