The Desai & Halatsuki families are opposing clans. Or rather they were for centuries, however, their bloody feud has resulted in the near extinction of both their bloodlines. Their hatred for one another only grew after The War of Expansion began. There are only a handful of Halatsukis still alive & Vaigh is the sole Desai remaining. Years ago, that night, their two families clashed however the Halatsukis had the aid of the other Erulian forces allowing them to desolate the Desais.

This event caused Vaigh to have a deep hatred for all Erulians extending past the Halatsuki family.

The Halatsuki family have been reknowned for being skilled Assassins. The Desai family are reknowned for being top tier Dragon Knights. The two families have been adversaries for generations. Vaigh is a member of the main branch of the Desai family and though has a human father is a pure-blooded Desai. Aahmes and Aaysui are members of the main branch of the Halatsuki family and are pure bloods. Aahmes is the current head of the Halatsuki family and Vaigh the current head of the Desai family {by birthright and default}.
