Though she was unfairly mistreated by her classmates and society, Isabel tried to be as kind as she could.
One day, Isabel noticed a mosquito, and oddly, felt a bit of compassion for it.
She held out her arm, and let it drink her blood.

"( Mosquitoes need food, too )", she thought as she watched it drain her blood.
But as it began to fly off, it turned back to look at her. It wondered why she didn't kill it?
They kept this up for weeks.
Funny enough, in those days, a certain someone with long pointy ears was conducting experiments... And wouldn't you know? It got caught up in it.

When Isabel went to her normal hangout outside school, she saw her little mosquito friend. Though the bites made her itch, she continued to let the little bug feed.
This time, however, after it finished, she started to feel a bit woozy... Queasy... She shakily made her way to the nurse's office, and laid down on the bed.
As she went into deep sleep, she dreamt of flying...

The next day, she went back to her usual spot, and saw the mosquito. That's when she heard:
"I hope this isn't the day she gets tired, and slaps me".
Isabel looked surprise! The mosquito... just spoke!
"I would never! You're my little friend! Or rather, my only friend", she replied, sitting down.
Both of them in total shock, they began talking to each other, trying to figure out how could this be.
But in the end, the two became friends. And it, with all the other mosquitoes never bit her again.
It was pretty nice... until a hardship struck...

The bullies had came over, and began making fun of Isabel. Mocking her about her shoddy clothes, and how her and her family should just stop making the rest of them look bad.
Naturally, her little mosquito friend, who she named Harpy, flew into the leader's ear, and bit as hard as she could to protect her!
But, like with most bugs, a quick smack, and she was dead.
Horrified, Isabel lunged at the bully, and started punching him, crying with each hit...
She was quickly throne off, and was about to be pummeled, when the bully felt 5 pings in his stomach!

It was Isabel's nails... They had grown to look like syringe needles, and had punctured his stomach!
And that's not all... They had began draining away his blood!
Scared, the others ran away screaming!
The bully fell down, going in shock....
Isabel stood up, shaking... And she quickly ran off. The mosquitoes surrounded her. They didn't know what just happened, but they did know she just did what they could do!

Taking pity on her for not understanding what happened, they began teaching her about their ways, how they functioned, and how to utilize her abilities.
Soon, Isabel learned how to use her abilities! ...But she was labeled a freak, though. :v
She still felt bad for her parents living as poor as they were, and decided to become a theif.
She then donned her new name: Mosquita.

Bug Telepathy
Enhanced Strength

Mosquita often tricks guys into getting them to giving her money, or she steals it if she's extra fiesty. A generous portion she sends to her parents saying it's from her "job".
One of her most deadly attacks is Blood Swarm: summoning a massive swarm of mosquitoes to attack her opponents if outnumbered.

Though she doesn't need blood to survive now, she can drain it, and gain a boost in all her abilities. She can also pocket posions, or other diseases caught in some blood to use as a weapon later on. Frightning...
Why she mainly looks after herself, she occasionally helps people if she's in a good mood...
Will she ever change, and be a hero? Who knows...
