It was a sunny afternoon in Vepura. The birds were singing the flowers were swaying fron the summer breeze. Yes today was beautiful indeed. Janie was out in feilds practicing her magic on the flowers next to her house. She doesn't stray far knowing full well one of her dad's dragons would come and fetch her.

Jalen was working on the mine, he had invited James to help him out with taking out the small gems and ore out into the yard so they could be solf or even made into more jewelry. "Where is Janie at right now dear? Did she mention if she was busy or not, maybe she could help us out if she wants a quick tip." He rubbed his arm over his forehead and huffed as he set down the pick.

//XD The sweet, over protective dads.

James picked out some of the gems "She's out in the field next to the house I believe she said she wanted to practice with out being embarrassed by us." He chuckled slightly. "I can call her over if you'd like." James sat back a bit from the digging and saw that they made some nice progress.

Jaylen picked up the pick again to give another swing, "Yeah, heh...wish I had magic like hers...I would have cleared this mine out ages ago..." He chuckled and picked up a huge rock then placed it up at the entrance, he looked out at the field, everytime he saw his daughter he would think about how much she has grown, "How does time pass by so fast." He grumbled under his breath.

James stood up and brushes his hands on his pants "indeed sooner or later she's going to want to leave Vepura to do her own self exploring.." he walked to the side of Jalen and wrapped an arm around his waist "I don't think I'll ever be ready for that moment.." he had a solem smile.

Jalen placed his hand on the other's and he turned to face his husband, "Hey...There is no way she can leave Vepura and not expect us to follow...remember my promise to you..." He still remembered the day he promised to help James look for his lost sister, he never forgot, even with having to care for their baby girl.

James chuckled and nodded "Of course, but I think you know what I meant. Like when she's an adult. Though I shouldn't be thinking about those types of things right now..So do you still want her to come up and help? Or should we leave her be to practice her magic?"

Jalen looked down at Janie, he sighed, "I suppose it could not hurt her to try helping us and practicing magic at the same time hm?" He yelled out to his daughter, "Sweetie, do you want to practice levitation? Is that something you could do?"

Janie looked up from the field to her dad's who were both standing at the foot of the mine "Alright I'm coming!" With a hop and a skip she came running up the the mines.
James smiled as he watched her run up to them.

Jalen turned back and he muttered under his breath, "There is still a lot she needs to learn, and what, we are gonna send her out not knowing even half the things she is supposed to...ugh...why am I thinking about this." He glanced at his lover and he sighed deeply, "Whenever you look at her...do you still think of her as our baby girl...or a young woman?"

James looked at Jalen "A bit of both.. but that might be because of my own up bringing.. she might only be a child or well young teen in age but when I was her age I was an adult too. If that makes sense. She's still our baby nothing is ever going to change that. She'll be forty and I'll still call her my baby girl. So it's a bit of both. Though still no boys." James crossed his arms with a smile.
Janie finally got up to the mine "haa.. ha-" she held up a finger as she caught her breath "o-ok w-what did you need?.. "

Jalen smiled a bit at the 'no boys' statement and he hummed when his daughter finally arrived, "Oh come on now, already out of breath, after running up a small hill. Where is the tough girl act huh?" He joked and pulled her close, "Okay, here you are...I want you to try to move those boulders with your magic, if you can. I can see how much potential you have that way. Don't strain yourself if you can't though."

Janie pouted slightly "I am tough! J-just not a very good runner" she smiled lightly and looked at the boulder that her father wanted her to try an move. "That really big one?.. Alright if you say so-"
James looked at the two most important people in his life as they bonded he put his hands on his hips as he watched.
Janie held out her hands and a pink aura glowed around them and a few of the rocks. She struggled slightly as the rocks were extremely heavy and her arms began to shake but eventually a few of them began to move.

Jalen's face lit up, he ran over to the moving rocks and tried to help his daughter out. Obviously, this does not work and he should stop trying XD

Meanwhile a young male about Janie's age was watching them from the lake, he smiled as he saw the magical abilities of her. "She needs improve on her skill...I would teach her...if only she were not surrounded by two males." He grumbled. His little sister came over and grinned, "Can I go talk to her Colten?" The older male nodded, "You may...though be cautious little tulip."

Janie looked like she was about to give up moving them but she gritted her teeth and and with a final burst of magic she moved the rocks out of the way. Her arms flopped to her sides and the rocks came crashing down to the ground. "That's the most.. Ive ever listen at once." Her arms felt like they were on fire and she lifted them up to look at her hands. She smiled in triumph and jumped up with happiness "Dad did you see that? Did you see that???!" She turned to James then Jalen she was so excited.

Jalen chuckled and he went over to give his daughter a high five, "I did, I saw every single bit of it..I am so proud of you dear." He ruffeled her hair and then paused, he looked closer at the mountain and saw a gust of air blow furiosly up it. "...What...is that...did you cause that wind sweetie?"

Janie smiled as he ruffled her hair she patted it down right after though. "I don't think I did.. huh maybe I'm a wind mage?" She looked at her hands a bit curious and confused.
James ran his hand in through his hair "Maybe it was just a gust of wind. It is storm season being summer n' all."

Jalen blinked, "Storms...but..." He looked up at the sky, "Today is beautiful...and..." He looked around and his eyes widened, "Guys get in the cave, that is a fire!"
//And this is where I introduce Colten. He and his sister will be my new characters, I would like to try to use them in different rps. But this rp is how I will try to develop character if that is alright.
