[Story] #DestriaRp
Niel was a bandit prowling the poverty stricken roads of Iclios.
He would take from those he saw on the roads, killing them if they drew blade against him, and leaving them alive but empty handed if they surrendered. For a long time Niel pillaged the unlucky until one day he tried to pillage what he thought was a blind man.
To his surprse, the man was not blind but indeed a greater swordfighter than he.(Continues in comments)

The man defeated him in an instant, leaving Niel dying on the road in the rain. He was unsure how much time had passed, but suddenly he awoke underneath a tree, his wounds bandaged, no longer bleeding. To his surprise, after all the evil he had done, Niel had been saved and given a second chance by a wandering priestess by the name of: Cherche. She stayed by his side and nursed him to health, praying over him for a swift recovery. During this time, he asked the Priestess about herself and the deity she worshipped. After a hasty recover thanks to Cherche, Niel decided to turn a new leaf after being so mercifully given a second chance at life by Cherche and the goddess's blessing. With a newfound morality and interest in the goddess, Niel took up his sword and swore to protect Cherche and stay by her whilst she traveled the world.
