Zeharu are capable of growing facial hair (only males)

But not every variant can.

Orion and all his descendants are *not* capable of growing facial hair. One might be if it cross breeds with a different variant.

Raven and Oblivion are both capable of growing facial hair (beards, gotees, etc...)

Raven the most, his hair grows the fastest.

But not all their descendants can grow it.

Raven's side:

Nightmares, Fear and Ghost variants can't grow facial hair

Oblivion's side:

Nature, Time and Fear can't grow facial hair.

When they shift, a layer of skin and scales protect their facial hair. Becoming jagged like spikes and it can be fairly dangerous in a fight (like poking someone's eye out)
