Powers/Abilities: Merewen is a Gifted, meaning that she can see and interact with ghosts. However, she can do something even more. Merewen possesses the power to bind spirits to suitable frames, such as corpses. However, she cannot force this onto a spirit. In order to do this, the spirit must allow her to do this. Once done, the spirit bound to the frame either becomes a draugr, if it is bound to a corpse, or an automaton, if it is bound to a golem, statue, or machine. In order to be bound to an inanimate object, however, the object must be prepared with the proper incantations and runes. A spirit cannot be bound to a statue, golem, or machine otherwise. Once bound, the spirit acts on its own free will, and can leave its frame at any time.

Other Notes: “Merewen was the daughter of a blacksmith who lived on the fringes of Candlewick. At her young age, she discovered that she could see ghosts, and would often speak to them. When her mother learned of this, she told her to keep it a secret, out of fear that the Baron would find out. Afterward, Merewen still spoke to spirits, but in secret. While she was not aware of her binding power, the spirits she spoke to knew. One day, a spirit of a murdered squire led her to a fresh corpse, and tricked her into giving the spirit new life, with the intention of taking revenge on the one who killed him in life. When she did, the newly formed draugr took off, found his murderer, and slew him where he stood. In the end, it took ten guards to bring the undead beast down. Merewen fled in terror, and never spoke of the incident, but, an old farmer saw her deed from a distance and started spreading rumors. With the tale of the living dead being raised by a little girl with hair like the sun spreading like wildfire, it wasn’t long before her neighbors got suspicious and called for the Baron’s men. When they attacked, Merewen fled while her mother held them off. She has not seen her mother since. It was there, deep in the woods, that she met a spirit-like entity who took pity on her…(To be continued in Mr. Bones Ref.)

Ooh, I love this character! She sounds so interesting, I like that she can create draugrs and such, but she needs the spirit's permission to do it. That's very different. Her dragon form is cute, too. XD

I'm looking forward to seeing her in the RP. I really hope to be able to host the first session sometime in the next few weeks.
