i wanna mention my reproductive theory so dont mind as i flood the comments a tiny bit

so my idea is that basically puffballs (regardless genders of either) are essentially able to "wish" for children if they're at least above the age of 17 and are mature enough and both parents have a good bond with eachother
the two parents hold hands and just wish for the child, and after a day or two it arrives in the form of a falling star
the star then bonds with both parents and after three days to a week it forms into a child
this can actually apply to other popstarian species
for example, if you have a waddle dee and a cappy, and they want a child, then the parent with the stronger wish will share species with the child
if the waddle's wish was stronger, the child is a waddle dee
if both parents have an equally strong wish, then the child will maybe be a hybrid, but it'd won't be weirdly mutated or whatever stuff

also if the star were to get separated during the bonding period (or if a parent was lost) then it has negative side effects on the child
if one parent is missing, the child is likely to have physical or mental issues
if both are missing then the issues are much more severe to the point the child eventually could turn into a different creature entirely, especially if the star were abused
