The Fae are, in many ways, the opposite of humans. Completely dependant on Mother Earth, and use magic drawn from their respective environments, much like Mages. Unlike them, however, they are born and live depending on the health of the land the dwell. This has been the cause for their tensions with the humans.

Different environments can support different forms of fae, such as sirens of the sea, salamanders of a volcano, etc. Elves are the most common fae, as they can vary as any element.
Faeries usually tend to have extravagant appearances, usually to match their home habitat.
