The Nightmare king ignited himself to dry off and then let the fire die down.

HarmonyDreamer accompanied the shapeshifter and sat across from Eira, she folded her hands in her lap and listen quietly " this is very strange..." She murmured and glanced over at her son and noticed him holding on to a bell " what the bell for?" She inquired.

Dreamcatcher was Restless going around the house, he stopped by the piano in the living room and giggled, he tapped one of the keys and made it ring. The moonBlood eyes Light up and he started to play it

Alexandrea kept giggling, even though she'd long lost sight of Malice. She stopped however when she spotted Hiiro, bleeding and unconscious in the street.

The large phoenix descended and landed beside him, "Oh dear" Alex murmurs, looking over his injuries. She started to glow and her feathers gradually turned white as she placed her primary wings on Hiiro's warm scales and began to heal him.

Hiiro's ear twitched, he could feel the phoenix's healing at work, but that's not why his ear twitched. //Who's that?// he shakes his head, //It sounds like someone's whispering in my ear, but I can't make it out...maybe I hit my head//

He slowly comes to as Alex heals him, he looks to the phoenix, "Was it you?" he whispers.

"Hmm, was what me? The one healing you? Who else do you see doing this?" Alex would smirk if she could.

Hiiro grunted, "Nevermind" he stares out at the street in front of him.

The rat Crimson threw went soaring through the air, squealing as it flew right past another that was coming towards the dragon shapeshifter.
The newest rat payed no heed to its flying ally, and instead focused on its opponent. It pounced at Crimson, aiming to snap at the hand he was wielding his sword with

Seeing the rat leaping at Crimson, Purity quickly throws up her hand and blasts an orb of water at it in an attempt to help. "Look out, Crimson!"

The blind Dragon shapeshifter could not see but could hear and figure out what was going on, Crimson turn in the direction of the one who aided him " LOOK OUT?! REALLY? IM BLIND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! " He shouted at Purity

Eira watched Catch as he moved about. "There's... something about his Vaseterm blood and the Nightmare inside that are clashing. At night, he gets all energetic like a child... And he loves bells, for some reason," she explained to Harmony. She sighed and put her cheek in one palm, elbow in her lap.

The rat leaping at Crimson was nailed by Purity's water orb and went spinning out on the floor. It struggled to get up, both because of being half-drowned and because of the slippery floor beneath its clawed feet. It turned towards Crimson and Purity and screeched angrily as if it were going to try for another attack...

But then it realized it was all alone after all of its allies had either run away or been used to mop the floor.

It let out another squeal before turning and fleeing along with the rest.

Now alone in the Forsaken Lord's palace, Dreameater keeps all his senses alert as he walks down a dark hallway. //If I had to guess, I'd probably need to go down more... The guy's name /is/ Void, and a void makes me think of a pit,// he thinks to himself, //besides, I doubt it's possible to get much higher in this place anyway.// The young Nightmare shifts back to his human form when he approaches a set of stairs, as he doesn't want to bother going down it with four legs, and all the way down, he can't shake the air of unease he feels...

//... Well...// the young Nightmare thinks as he feels the growing presence, //At least I can sense... whatever that is. If it's in something even similar to a library, I think it'll be safe to say it's the source of all his power.// Being very cautious as he approaches the sealed door, he glances around for anything and everything he's expecting--eyes in the dark, traps in the walls, more shadowy splotches on the floor... then after a silent pause, he turns back to the door, muttering, "... You know what? Forget this, I'm just going to blow EVERYTHING up, I can't take so long knowing that just about anything could be happening to the Princess about now!"

Dreameater puts a good bit of distance between himself and the sealed door, then with a growl, he throws a ball of black and blue flames at his target, which explodes violently when it hits

Debris was sent flying from the explosion, the blast sent a Shockwave through that section of the Fortress...

A good size whole was we're the door used to be, it still sizzled with flames.

The room Beyond was covered in a sick black Haze

 

But, Terra can't quite get full sentences out of the Elemental core's "glowly language," otherwise he would've quickly shot down the idea of throwing Fiona like a weapon.

Purity grimaces faintly as Crimson shouts back at her, and holds her arms out to her sides, "I'm sorry, I forgot! You're the only one here who doesn't have eyes!" the Dreamer girl tries to explain, then watches the rat run for its life. "... That seems to be the last one!"

Harmony frowned, she was troubled by her son's Behavior " I don't know much about the Vaseterm then what I already told you" she said honestly " Nightmares are nocturnal and more active at night but he doesn't seem to show any of the signs beside his appearance" she pushed her lips trying to figure out just what in the world was going on, but she to was at a lost.

At first it sounded like random planking of keys, but then it started to sound like a song... But it wasn't one that was familiar to ether his mother or Eira, it had a slow Rhythm to it almost like it should be a lullaby

Dreameater silently approaches the door, ignoring its smoldering remains as he looks into the hazy room ahead. //Ooh boy, this looks like a wonderful spot for an ambush!// the Nightmare notes with a slight, biting sarcasm as he summons his sword, gripping the hilt tightly with anticipation. Eater keeps his senses alert on the chance he can detect the life of some creature, but knowing he could be going up against literally anything, he quietly growls, "If anyone's in there, you might as well come out already..."

" it took you long enough kid, I was getting bored " a familiar voice came from the fog, Sounds of heavy foot steps a figure took shape in the Haze and soon the Giant of a man features came clear, the Forsaken Lord Rage stood tall " Void said it be you, and I been waiting for round two, and this time you won't be walking away " he said with a smirk

//This guy again...// Dreameater growls, glaring at the Forsaken Lord. "Mmm, yeah? You sure about that? Because last I remember, you weren't so bad... and that was /before/ I got a power up from the freaking Eyes of Soledormir," the young Nightmare replies, pointing his black blade at Rage, "Let me guess, next, you're going to say something along the lines of, 'Oh, I wasn't at my full power then,' or, 'I've still got some tricks up my sleeve!' or some other lousy excuse?"

Rage yawn as Dreameater talk, not taking the young Nightmare seriously " no, I was going to say when ever /you/ got done talking, let's get on with it, but if you rather have an excuse I skipped breakfast and yoga class that morning " he mock the Nightmare remark.

Putting a hand out, with his Palm down, the ground started to grow going up to his hand, forming a long handle, the end towards the ground become large and bulky, soon an obsidian hammer was in Rage hand " uh, so the wing freak gave you a power up?" He thinks out loud " last time things we're just getting good when Void called it off, but no one going to get in the way this time!" Rage roared, charging with his hammer in hand, he swung the Mighty weapon at the young Nightmare

Crimson wave his hands around " HOW COULD YOU FORGIVING A THING LIKE THAT?! " he huffed and folded his arms " whatever, if the last of those rat thing are gone let do whatever it is that we came to this freaky place for, it's making my skin crawl just being here"

No surprise that anyone, that the little dragging it slept through the entire battle and was still out like a light

Fiona's core went back to a steady glow after that. She didn't expect her attempts to communicate to be so tiring. //Ugh... I wish I could at least talk to Terra in this form... I gotta regenerate as soon as possible...// She thought.

Alexandrea continued to heal Hiiro over, closing his wounds and burning off the acid with her light magic. She used her beak and talons to tear off his dead or damaged scales, til his skin was showing. "Your scales will grow back, I'm sure soon, this way your dead/damaged scales won't get in the way or cause pain as the new ones regrow" she explain as she tears off the last ones.

Hiiro hissed at the feeling, but kept quiet, //I'm gonna get Catch for biting me// he thinks bitterly to himself, looking down at his paw as the bite marks were healed over.

He stands up once he deems himself healed enough, shaking himself out and stretching out his wings. "Thanks bird, now if you'll excuse me, I have a dreamer to bite" he growls, folding his wings in and starting off to find Catch.

"Uhm...you're welcome?" Alexandrea tilts her head, her feathers and gems turning back to their normal colors. "The name is Alexandrea though...not bird" she frowns.

At first, Eater had nearly started to lower his guard with how nonchalant Rage seemed, but he quickly tenses up when the Forsaken Lord begins summoning his obsidian war hammer. //That looks way more deadly than my freaking sword, this fight is going to be fantastic,// he thinks, making sure to get well out of the way before even attempting to swing his sword at Rage. //I promised Boo I'd come back, but moons, I just hope I can get out of this without any smashed pearls or bones...//

Rage Hammer slammed into the floor, shaking the room at impact " your a bit faster than last time" he remarked missing the Nightmare, he pulled his hammer out of the ground

Prefering to save his breath for the fight, Dreameater does not reply to Rage's remark, but quickly coats his blade in flames and swings the weapon at the Forsaken Lord with as much strength as he can muster

Rage drew up his hammer to block the young Nightmare sword, send spark and flames flying, the Forsaken Lord smirk, digging his feet in the ground and cracking it as he shoved Dreameater back " not bad kid, but there a reason why I'm called Soledormir fist "

Eater's eyes widden as Rage quickly retaliates and pushes him back, the young Nightmare growls as he stumbles away. "Obviously it's because you use a giant hammer and not your fists!" Dreameater snaps back, hurling another explosive fireball at the Forsaken Lord, "Soledormir comes up with the dumbest names!"

Rage chuckled with a smirk " Void would be ticked off if I use my fist in his place, to much collateral damage that way" he replied Lacks about it.

He watched as Dreameater launched his attack, the forsaken Lord swinging his hammer and counted the attack and sent the fireball right back at the young Nightmare " I can't argue with that, but been a Forsaken your no longer the person you were and is now bond to the master" Rage shrugs " the name he gives if you really want to know tells a lot about person, and what there purpose is"

Mina groaned, dragging herself along the hallways of the mansion. It felt like ages since she had been separated from Hiiro. The Venatavis wondered whether he was able to make it out alive, or if the rest of the group even noticed that she was missing.

Mina struggled to keep her eyes open as the feeling of exhaustion slowly overwhelmed every inch of her body. Dried blood was scattered across her mattered feathers, most noticeably on a gash near her chest area. Shortly after separating from Hiiro the floor of the hallway collapsed and she suffered some injuries.

The Venatavis was slowly going mad from the seemingly endless hallways, so quiet that she could hear her own heart nervously beat.

“I’m going to die here...” Mina rasped, glancing down at the key between her claws. “I’m going to die here, alone... They’ll find the key in the hand of my skeletal remains.”

After wandering for a while longer, Mina couldn’t fight her exaustion any longer. She slumped against the hallway wall, curling herself into a little ball with her head resting on her wing.

“I can spare a little time to take a nap..” She whispered to herself before falling sound asleep.

Purity embarrassedly scratches the side of her head, but she can agree with Crimson--it'd be best to rescue Crystal and g

*get out of here as quick as possible. She then walks over to Boo and gently nudges her, trying to wake her up.

Terra quietly floats along with the group.

(That wasn't my original post, but I gotta go! I'll be back in maybe an hour!)

"WHAT THE--" Dreameater yelps as he sees his own fireball coming back to him, and it explodes in his face. Lucky for him, he's a Pyro, and it was his fireball in the first place, so the worst that happened was he got even more ticked off. //Fire isn't supposed to work that way!// the Nightmare thinks and growls as he waves the flames away. Eater would've demanded to know how Rage managed to pull that off, if it weren't for what the Forsaken Lord said next.

"... Yeah, I know... But then, who did /you/ use to be?" he has to ask out of curiousity, although he carefully watches Rage now, not at all trusting his laid-back attitude.

" yeah, that never worked to well on Revenge either..." Rage made comment about fire being unaffected against Pyro's, and mainly when he battled Malice.

The forsaken Lord look up in thought at the young Nightmare question " uh... It's been awhile since I had to think about that" he set the blunt end of his hammer down and leaned against the handle and thought, he tapped his the heel of his boot against the rim of the hammer, it had a smooth reflected surface that could be seen at certain angles." It's been well over 100000 years since the last it was said... But I was know as Danieru not that means anything now " he said with a shrug.

Eater quietly listens to Rage as he talks, and raises an eyebrow when Rage gives his original name. "... Danny? ... Huh... You mean you've been alive /that long?/" he asks, slowly relaxing his posture. //If this guy has lived that long as a Forsaken... and in that vision, I was hoping just to die... That means I could live like that for hundreds of thousands of years if we don't stop Soledormir...// the Nightmare concludes, the thought nearly making him sick with disgust and anger.

Rage, chuckled been called 'Danny' he Shrugged " no, a lot longer, that was just the last I can remember that name was used, I am the second oldest Forsaken Lord, Void take the cake and only the moons know how old he is " the Forsaken Lord shift his weight to his other foot " the thing about the Forsaken Lords is we're bound to our master, as long as he lives we live the natural laws of a life span do not affect us " he explain casually, and then raises his shoulders " but we can die in service to him, or if we fail and then pick a new poor soul to be the next Forsaken Lord "

Slowly grimacing as Rage explains his long life, Dreameater tightens his grip on his blade while the vision plays back in his mind... how his future self hoped a group of heroes would slay him, or that one of his fellow Forsaken would be allowed to kill him... Growling quietly, Eater defiantly replies, "Well, there won't be any Forsaken Lords to replace /you./ I'm helping the Keyhunters, and I'm going to be there when they kill Soledormir!"

" we now see, that just we're I can't let you go, if Soledormir dies so do the one bonded to him" Rage said and pick up his hammer, " as a servant to my master you will not succeed" slammed his weapon into the ground sending shards of black obsidians towards the young Nightmare

Eater quickly dives out of the way when Rage sends the obsidian spikes, and glares hatefully at him. "I'm NOT a Forsaken Lord, and I NEVER WILL BE!! I'll NEVER serve Soledormir!!" the young Nightmare roars, hurling yet another fireball at Rage before remembering how that didn't go so well last time. If fire isn't effective, his only other options are his sword and chains, so after hurling his fireball, Eater charges toward Rage with both his hands gripping the handle of his sword, aiming to deliver a powerful blow when he gets close.

After his attacked missed its Target and the young Nightmare shouted and sent his fire attack, Rage shrugs " it wouldn't be the first time I heard those words" the forsaken Lord, counter swing his hammer sending the ball of flame flying off to the side, there was no point in hitting it back at the Nightmare because it wouldn't have affected the Pyro, Rage brought his hammer up to counter Eater, there weapons collided with a clash sending Sparks and flames, " your a fast little guy" he made common as he barely had time to counter, his feet were locked in place as he felt the Nightmare push against weapon

Dreameater only snarls in reply to Rage's comment, and bares his fangs as he pushes against the Forsaken Lord's weapon. Instead of giving way and falling back, this time he brings his new barbed chains up and stabs one into Rage's shoulder and the other into his chest. If that isn't enough to throw him off, well at least it'll hurt.

Rage roared as the young Nightmares barbed chains impaled his chest and arm, his grip loosened holding his hammer and he was pushed back, the forsaken Lord used his arm that was not impaled and started to ripped out Eater chains

Seeing a clear opening as he shoves Rage back, Eater quickly puts more pressure on the Forsaken Lord's hammer in an effort to knock him flat on his back, and the Nightmare ignites his sword and chains with dark fire to do as much damage as he possibly can.

Rage gritted his teeth with the pain, he quickly when to strengthen his grip on his hammer as the young Nightmare was over powering him but flames we're to hot, the forsaken Lord cry out in agony as the flames consumed him, he was forced and knocked back on his back, // this isn't good, Void going to have a cow if the kid gets by, he going to have one if I us my fist to// " ah, hell" Rage breathe out, he took one hand and slammed it on the floor, sending an earthquake and cracking the ground

Dreameater smirks ever so faintly as he watches Rage fall backward, and readies his black blade for another swing, but the tremors Rage causes makes him stumble and fall to one knee. //Well, I guess I'm not surprised he went ahead and used his fist anyway,// the Nightmare thinks and growls as he gets up as quickly as he can, trying to avoid the new cracks in the ground.

Rage took the moment of distraction to rip the chain out and roll over to the side, putting out most the flamed on himself, he had Burns all over and was bleeding, he quickly got to a knee and noticed// well that suck, I left my hammer...// He sighed // this is a lot more work then I was expecting to do today// the forsaken Lord took his fist and slammed it into the ground before him, the floor fell apart in the area his fist struck the ground

Eater narrows his eyes and steps back, bringing his chains back to himself as Rage rolls away. When the Forsaken Lord slams his fist into the ground, Eater quickly tries to get away, thinking, //Ohhhh no, I'm not going to fall into that, the last time was bad enough--there's no telling if there's even anything down there in this place!//

With the mindset that any damage is better than no damage at all, the young Nightmare goes ahead and throws another fireball at Rage.

The forsaken Lord didn't have his hammer to deflect the firing attack// this sucks// his eyes widened and he quickly shielded his face with his gauntlets, rage let out a grunt getting knocked back in a explosion of Fire

Dreameater watches as Rage gets knocked back, although this time he pauses a moment, and waits... He didn't come here just to fight a Forsaken Lord after all, and there's no telling if there's any other creature waiting to get in his way... //But knowing Soledormir's minions, he's probably not going to back down until he's dead... will he?//

Rage tumbled on the floor, he rolled to a stop and grunted getting back on to his feet, he bushes some of the ash off himself and coughs " ugh, Pyro's are annoying" he grumbles to himself. The forsaken Lord takes his fist and pounds it in his other hand " let's get this over with" he comes running at the young Nightmare with his fists this time

//No, of course he doesn't,// Eater thinks as he watches Rage come running towards him again, and quickly readies his sword for another swing, but he pauses a moment, remembering the hole the Forsaken Lord just made. //Maybe I can get him to fall down there...//

Rage charged Dreameater again he made sure to avoid the whole in the ground he made, the crack went clear over to one of the walls or at least it seen through the fog, dust from the roof filtered down indicating that a few of the pillars in the room we're damaged with the quake.

The forsaken Lord roared, he took his fist and can at the young Nightmare

Quickly coming up with a new plan, Eater backs up towards the wall nearest to him and waits, smirking faintly. He waits until Rage is dangerously close, then practically leaps out of the way, meaning Rage will definitely miss his target...

Rage came at the young Nightmare, he swung his fist at Eater aiming to take his head off but the young Nightmare jumped out of the way just in the nick of time, the forsaken Lord's fist slammed into the wall, cracking it and shaking the room, // that not good// he thinks as the wall begins to collapse, Rage turn to try and evade the falling debris but the wall come down on him...

//Run, run, run,// is the only thought that goes through Dreameater's mind as he escapes the collapse, lucky for him he had a headstart compared to Rage when he lept out of the way.

The cracked floor gives way and crumbles as well under the weight of the falling wall, causing the Forsaken Lord to plummet into the depths of Void's fortress...

After making sure he's standing on solid ground, Eater stops for a moment to look down into the gaping hole that's now behind him. "... Ha, ha... I'm so glad that worked..." he chuckles, out of breath, and wipes his forehead with his hand. Pausing a moment, the young Nightmare then turns back to where he can sense the eerie power, and mumbles to himself, "Well... I guess now it's time to see what the source of Void's power is... Unless Danny can somehow come back up from that..."

Crimson let out a frustrated sigh, his nerves were still on end from the fight, he started to check himself we're he felt the bite the rats gave him // ugh, this has been a great Adventure so far // he mound inside.

The little Dragonette eyes slowly opened up, and she looked up at Purity with sleepy eyes " is it morning already?" She asked

Nevaeh was running through the dark Fortress of Voids Palace, she was following the sense of one of the candidates // I have to help! I'm a really good helper!// She thinks to herself.

It wasn’t long before Mina awoke to the sound of a distant voice calling her name. She sprung up, completely forgetting her exaustion. The Venatavis began to spring in the direction that she heard the voice, desperately calling back.

“Hello?!?! Is anyone there!?!? HELLO?!?”

(I think I’m ready to come back, I’ve been gone for over 2 months now and I’ve finished all of my major exams. School lets out next Wednesday.)

Rosie's ears strained forward when she heard Mina calling, she sprinted now, pumping her legs as hard as she could to go faster. She rounded a corner and tumbled to a stop in front of the Venatavis, "Hi Mina!" she sniffs, "Are you hurt? I can close your wounds for you, not really healing, but it'll stop any bleeding" she says as she lays against a wall upside down. Her tail and feet dangling in the air.

Mina gave a slight smile to Rosie and weakly stood up off of the floor. “Hi Rosie.” She respond. “And yes, I’d appreciate that very much.”

The Venatavis stretched her left wing out to expose the large gash that raked across her chest and up to the base of her wing.

As Terra neared their little group, Fiona heard their voices. //...What are the others gonna think when they see me like this? Especially after Demise made everything worse...
How long am I gonna have to wait to get my form back?!// She thought.

As Dreameater marches through the eerie haze toward the dark power he can sense, he quickly comes to two grand doors, one of which has been badly damaged by the battle. He slowly shoves the door open and peers inside, beholding a nearly endless hallway that seems to stretch as far as his eyes can see. All along the walls are symbols and words in many different languages, and pictures are engraved in the walls as well, showing different scenes, but one thing they have in common is this: a majestic dragon of unrivaled beauty, perched victoriously over a battle raging beneath him or before him. For the most part, these images mean nothing to the young Nightmare walking down the hall, who can sense the dark presence growing closer with each step, but one picture does stand out...

That same, beautiful dragon, standing next to the King of Chaos himself, Soledormir.

There were more pictures that showed the dragon standing by Soledormir's side as the story progresses, then there was a picture of the dragon conspiring against Soledormir, then the dark king tearing out the dragon's eyes, then the last showing Soledormir casting what's left of the dragon into a portal that was clearly meant for dark purposes.
At the end of the hallway, written in the language only the dark, corrupted creatures can read, the words of Soledormir are engraved: "Azamuku, the Traitor of Soledormir, for the crimes they named will be forgotten and wiped from the very fabric of time and space, you will exist without existing, a Void where all will be mine."

//Man... the power to wipe the knowledge of something from time and space... This is what we're up against...// Eater considers as he stops to read the message, a chill runs down his spine with the thought. But, he takes a deep breath in and steels himself for what's to come. "It's fine, everyone's got a weakness, Soledormir has one too. The Keyhunters will find it, and stop Soledormir, and I'll be helping them on the way there... He won't turn me into a mind-controlled slave, he won't make me betray the Princess, I'm not going to become a Forsaken Lord... and right now I've just gotta wreck Void's things... Totally fine..."

Now the Nightmare stands in front of another set of doors and can sense the ominous presence he's tracking practically oozing from them, but as he reaches out to open the doors, they open on their own, revealing a mind-tripping scene...

The room, if you could call it that, was a massive, spiraling void that seems far bigger than the fortress could hold, it looked like the inside of a tornado, but without any wind. There were thousands, if not millions of bookcases suspended on nothing, books were floating around on their own, and as they pass by Dreameater, he can read their titles. They all had dates and names on them, but the most chilling thing about them was the voices whispering from inside...

Everything was slowly spiraling down towards the center of the vortex, where Void's heart rests on some kind of ritual altar with onyx fangs surrounding it...

Eater's eyes widen and he quickly stops himself from going any farther when he finds himself looking into a void. "Woah," is the first thing out of his mouth, but his initial intrigue is quickly replaced with terror when he feels himself lifting off the ground. "/Woah,/ WOAH! AHH!

... Oh... I'm... floating...? That's..." the Nightmare mumbles and goes quiet, not sure if he should be terrified at the idea that at any moment he could wind up falling, or if he should just excited at the fact that hey, he's floating without wings! That's pretty amazing!

Although he is ever so slightly annoyed when his hat tries to float away from him.

Letting out a quiet sigh as he grabs his hat, the Nightmare spends a good minute just trying to figure out how to maneuver in this weird anti-gravity room before he does anything else. //... All these books are freaking me out a bit... did Void just... take people and stuff them into books or something?// Then a thought hits him... //Void's curse is knowledge... I've found the source of his power, in a freaking flying library, maybe this is where he hides all of his plans and other things? Hmmm, but is there anything useful to me...?//

Scanning the books floating the closest to him, Dreameater spots a couple books bearing names that he recognizes, and snatches them out of the air with his chains to keep his hands free. //I'll open these things later, I don't have the time right now,// the young Nightmare decides, and looks down to the dark altar below him. //Now, I just need to deal with that...//

Suspended above the altar is a black sphere of dark, evil energy, it swirls with a consuming hunger and pulses like a heartbeat. As Eater gets closer to it, he can feel a powerful force weighing down on him, and he can hear voices coming from within Void's heart. At first they were random, rambling noises, but as if the heart could sense Dreameater's presence, they then became whispers of voices he knows...

Rosie rolled back onto her paws, "Oh yikes!" she stands up on her hindpaws and walks towards Mina, gently tracing her claws along the gash, "It's not too deep and hasn't hit anything vital, because you'd be dead by now" she thinks aloud.

Heating up her paws, "This won't tickle, at all, so be ready to grit your beak and stay as still as you can" she then puts her burning hot paws to Mina's gash and begins to cauterize her wound. She works her way up, from her chest to the base of her wing. "I know it hurts, but this will also stop you from getting an infection"

"What?! No, it can't be... Our son was a Shadow Hunter, surely he wouldn't have let this happen, Joy..." 
Eater's muscles tense when he hears the voice of Valiant Dreamer, Weaver's father, followed by Joydreamer's heartbroken voice.

"I saw him, Valiant... He came here..."

"... So... this thing has some... illusion... magic, huh...?" the Nightmare tells himself, glaring somewhat at the sphere of evil and sarcastically remarking, "Well that's /wonderful,/ like the dead Dreamer's family is going to stop me from breaking this."

Then, his own voice seems to echo back to him... "... Dead Dreamer...? Who...?"

"Weaver, of course," Dreameater replies, crossing his arms and watching the orb suspiciously.

"Humph," his voice talks back to him, "Me? I'm not /really/ dead yet!"

This has Dreameater completely speechless for a moment, his turquoise eyes wide with shock as he tries to understand what he's hearing. //Weaver?! Whaaat!? But I killed him! There's NO WAY...// "... This--this is a trick!" Eater declares, pointing his index finger at the heart accusingly, "You're not /really/ Weaver, because it's just illusion magic!! I KILLED Dreamweaver!! He's DEAD!! You're just trying to mess with me!"

"I'm as real as you are. Did you think I'd just stop existing after what you did? You took over my body and ate my hearts, but I'm still here, /Nightmare,/" Weaver replies, with clear disgust in his voice.

Eater is taken aback by this, and becomes so caught up in his thoughts that he doesn't even notice as Hope pokes her head out of the pocket he's kept her in. //This is... I can't believe it! But if he's still around, does that mean... Catch actually has a chance to bring this idiot back?!// the Nightmare questions, worried for his life to be honest, but one fact sticks out that gives him comfort and makes him smirk. //Good thing I'm a step ahead of him and that dumb Dreamer girl, ha, they don't even know he's here!// "Mmm, so you've been stuck here since then? In that case, would you like to hear what I've been doing with your frame?" Eater smugly asks his former self.

Weaver growls quietly, "You don't have to tell me, I've already seen how you... what you did to Terra, and those other Dreamers..."

"Oooh, so not only are you trapped here, you've had to /watch me?/" Eater laughs cruelly, enjoying the poor Dreamer's torture, "Hahahaha! Well, for an idiot like yo--"

"I've ALSO seen how you've been taking care of Boo for me," Dreamweaver interrupts, turning the conversation back on Eater's head and continuing spitefully, "Thanks for keeping my promise for me, you've done a good job so far." //Except for the time where you actually killed a Dreamer colt and cooked him for her, I can't believe you actually did that...//

Eater quickly shuts his mouth after being interrupted, and with his arms still crossed, he wrinkles his nose, frowns, and huffs. "Well it's only because of /your brother/ that I'm watching out for her, and that stupid seal of his--"

"You also went to my mother and told her what happened, without hurting her..."

"HEY! I wasn't PLANNING on letting her live!" Eater protests, "I only left her because freaking Eira and Mina showed up!!"

"But you didn't go back and kill her when you had the opportunity," Weaver points out, "Oh, and now you're on a journey to keep Purity and the rest of my friends safe while they try to save the world."

At this point, Eater has already had enough of Weaver's mocking "thank you's" and throws his arms and his hat into the air. "ONLY BECAUSE SOLEDORMIR WANTS TO TURN ME INTO HIS MINDLESS SLAVE AND FORSAKEN LORD!!" he roars, glaring furiously at Void's heart with dark eyes, "That's the ONLY REASON Purity's STILL ALIVE! I need her Key to STOP HIM!"

Of course, Weaver knows that, he also knew he would get this reaction out of Dreameater if he said all this, and while he might not be outright thankful for Eater, he /is/ very glad for the fact he didn't have to watch himself kill his mother or his white angel... "Yeah? And what're you going to do if something goes wrong? Do you have a backup plan?"

"I'll eat my own pearls if that's what it takes to end my life then," Eater bluntly replies, "I'd rather die than live like that."

"... Wow, that's all you've got planned? Really?" Weaver remarks, then suggests, "You haven't even thought about a way to free a Forsaken from Soledormir?"

"No... and where would I even start, anyway, genius?"

"... You could start with Danny. He doesn't want to die, and he seemed like a pretty chill guy... when he wasn't trying to punch your head off. He might be willing to go along with it, and if you could figure out how to free him from Soledormir, you'd know how to save yourself."

Dreameater goes quiet now, thinking over everything. As much as he hates the Dreamer he's talking to, he's got a point. "... Why do you even care if I become a Forsaken Lord?"

Weaver huffs, "Well, I don't really want to be a Forsaken Lord when I come back."

Hope silently listens as the Nightmare and the Dreamer argue and insult each other, not really paying attention to what Eater says. //Weaver... We can still bring him back...// the little Forgotten wishfully thinks.

On the other hand, Dreameater narrows his eyes and unfolds his arms, balling his fists at his side as he growls at the heart of Void. "You think you're going to come back? Yeah right! That's not going to happen!"

 -

"And what do you know!?" Weaver snaps back, "Unlike /you,/ I have friends who care, friends who want to bring me back! Besides, it's only because of me that they've kept you alive! I have more hope than you ever will! I /know/ they'll bring me back one day...!"

"Your friends are useless, you know that Weaver? Purity can't defend herself worth anything, Catch can't look past Eira--I bet he hasn't even thought about you since I took your frame--and no one else cares about you because I got rid of you not long after you met everyone!" Dreamweaver doesn't immediately interrupt or protest, so Dreameater grins smugly and continues,

Oh, and sure, it's thanks to you that your 'friends' haven't taken my head off yet, but you know what else I have to thank you for? That time when you had Catch promise not to tell anyone what was going to happen--think about it! If you had told the Keyhunters I was going to kill you, they would've been prepared. Purity wouldn't have wandered off with you to the Valley. Terradream wouldn't have died! But instead, you let me have my fun and take everyone by surprise because you thought you could just trust in Catch! Catch, who's world revolves around his frozen turkey of a mate! Did you really think /he/ could save you? ... In the end, it's you who killed your friend!"

Still, there's no response from Weaver this time. Naturally, Eater curiously floats closer to Void's heart to inspect it... and in the surface of the sphere, he can see the faces of countless people in there, likely all Dreamers, and with each pulse of the heart, they seem to change to other faces. All of them, except for one face that stands out more clearly and doesn't change, as though the Nightmare were looking into a darkened mirror at his reflection. Inside the wicked heart, Weaver has his emerald eyes shut tight and his teeth bared as tears stream down his face, tears of overwhelming grief, anger, and self-loathing...

"HAHAHAHAHA!" Eater laughs loudly, now he's quite enjoying seeing his former self again. When he's done laughing, he grins at the reflection and summons his black blade, an evil gleam in his eyes. "Ahhh, oh, and another thing, Weaver, you won't ever get your body back because /I'm/ here instead of any of them... Got any last words for them before I kill you a bit more permanently this time?"

"... Tell Catch to give you a black eye for me," Weaver finally says, not opening his eyes to look at the Nightmare.

Dreameater snickers and rolls his eyes, "Ehh, I'll pass on that... but, I'll be sure to tell the dumb Dreamer freak how I got to kill his brother again, hahaha, I can only imagine the look on his face!"
Getting into a battle stance, the Nightmare lifts his sword to destroy Void's heart, and the Dreamer's reflection within... "Goodbye forever, Dreamweaver! Hahahaha!"

A small, small part of Weaver feels satisfied, knowing that if Eater actually tells Catch that, he's going to get exactly what he asked for, but that doesn't amount to much of anything. He feels broken--not because of what the Nightmare said about his friends, he knows Purity can defend herself, how Catch has surely thought about him more than once by now, and he hasn't given up his hope that they'll bring him back. He's not giving up on that. It's what Eater said about Terra, and how he was able to carry out his plan, that's what is breaking this poor Dreamer's soul.

Weaver finally opens his eyes, but he still doesn't look at Dreameater, instead he notices the crying Forgotten reaching out of the Nightmare's pocket, calling his name and screaming "No, no!" in her tiny, weak voice, and another wave of guilt hits him.

//I'm so sorry, Glory... He's right though... This is all my fault, I could've stopped all of this... I... I'm such an idiot... I deserve this. I deserve all of what's happening to me. But you... Catch... Purity... Terra... None of you deserved this... You deserve someone better than me...//

One last question gets him thinking, though...

//... I came here the first time I died... Where am I going now...?//

Cracks spread across the surface of Void's heart as Eater's blade pierces through it, and then the heart explodes, letting out a burst of energy that sends the Nightmare flying back with a shout. Eater slams into a bookcase and quickly realizes he needs to grab on as he can feel gravity pulling on him again, meaning his fun time floating around is over. Not only that, but he can hear things crumbling around him... Void's palace is starting to fall apart.

Dreameater wheezes a little before shifting to his Great Wolf form and climbing on top of the bookcase he had slammed into. //This is going to be fun,// he thinks as he watches some of the bookcases start to fall around him, and starts leaping from one to the next until he gets out of the void.

The moment he's back into the grand hallway, Eater immediately spreads his senses to see if Boo is still in the dark palace, and he grimaces when he can confirm that she is. At the same time, he can't sense anyone else besides the small group the dragonet is with, so maybe the hero in distress (Catch) has been rescued by this point. //Good, I just need to get the Princess's group out of here, I need to hurry though,// Eater thinks, shaking his Great Wolf body and feeling as though something's either in his fur or crawling under his skin, but he doesn't have the time to think about that now--not with the ground shaking and collapsing, and walls caving in on themselves all around him. With the books he's stolen still wrapped in his chains, and Hope crying hysterically into his fur, the Nightmare charges through the halls on his way back to the remaining Keyhunters, running past or throwing aside any frenzied monsters that try to get in his path...

Mina let out a chocked gasp of pain as Rosie’s little paws burned her wound shut. She tried to focus on something else to keep her from moving or crying out in pain. It hurt awfully but she knew it would help her.

After the little Xanos finished Mina weakly put her wing to her side and turned to Rosie. “I-is there anyone else with you? We need to get out of here... b-before we run into something.”

The sound of paws running come down a dark hallway, but then again everything in Voids Place was dark.
As the sound come closer Nevaeh come charging interview " I Found you!" She declared, she hit her brakes and slide across the floor and crashed into the wall cloes to Mina and Rosie, because she obviously a very graceful Fox...

( it's ok! Turlee I just had her crash next to Mina xDD )

( oh, man I smell someone doing a barbecue in the neighborhood, and it smells really good )

“Nevaeh!” Mina yelped, surprised by the Fox’s sudden appearance. “Are you okay?” She asked, trying her best to hold in a laugh.

(So how are they going to get out of the mansion? Should there be a final boss guarding the exit or something?)

Purity smiles faintly at the black dragonet, but shakes her head. "No--well, I don't know, we're still in the dark palace, so there's no telling what time it is. But, the bad monsters are all gone now, so we've gotta rescue Crystal!"

The ghostly Dreamer holding Fiona's core isn't concerned about appearances, instead he's concerned by just about everything else, even the fortress itself now that it's starting to collapse. "Wh-what's with all the tremors!?" Terra yelps, and starts floating in the direction the group had been travelling in before, "This way! We need to hurry!"

( ':D well all the boss have been face, in Voids place, it's many getting together before the place later Lee collapses on everyone and eats them, they still have to get crystal out and all the captives )

Rosie looked to Nevaeh, "Hi Nevaeh!" she pounces the fox in her excitement, she suddenly noticed the tremors shaking the palace. "Oooh I think we better escape! If only I had my wings!" she whines loudly

Nevaeh post yourself off the wall and shook her head " wow where did that come wow where did that come from?" She thinks out loud, then looked to Mina and Rosie " I'm fine! Just a wall hit my face but I'm okay!" She said cheerfully.

The fox got up and look to the ceiling and walls around them " is that an earthquake?"

As time went on, Dawn's expression shifted from disappointment to confusion.

After waiting a moment, Cyro broke the silence, "What's happening, Dawn?"

"I... I'm not sure... I think t-the Elemental is still there, t-though..." Dawn explained quietly.

Then the tremors suddenly started, which caused Cyro to jump. "Whoa!" He cried.

"Oh... I-I have no clue about this e-either..." Dawn quivered, shrinking further back into her cell.

"If someone's going to save us, I'm not sure how much time they have left..." Tynan grumbled, calmly folding his arms as they waited.

Mina held onto the wall as the entire mansion shook. She turned to Nevaeh and Rosie, frowning. “I don’t know..” The Venatavis responses, looking around the hallway. “Whatever it is, it doesn’t sound good. We need to get out of here quick, before we find out whatever caused that tremor.”

(Also I loved the whole Eater thing, I meant to comment before but it slipped my mind.

I'm also not good at commenting in general, but I loved it x'D

Especially how chill Rage was in that fight lol)

Rosie's ears were pricked up, she dug her claws into the ground and she groaned. "I need more magic, if any of you have a way to share your power with me, I can manage to teleport us out of here, to the Land of Dreams"

From everything she was hearing, Fiona could assume something bad was happening. //Alright, no more waiting--I gotta get my form back NOW.// The Elemental's core began to glow brightly, this time it was more like when she had tried to regenerate her arm. Even more like that time, though, she failed to pull it off, which caused the glow to flicker and dim. However, she kept trying as the group started to rush through the fortress.

(Aaah, I totally forgot to say something, too. I went back and read some a few more times I liked it so much. x'D

When Dreameater destroyed Voids heart, Malice stumbled feeling a energy course through him, he grimace feeling pain as he could not hold back his Darkness, the Nightmare king roared in agony as his wings we're forced to rip through his back, they opened up and a green and black pulse disbursed from them, sending a signal throughout the realms...

Malice stood there trembling with wide eyes // what just happened?!// his mind was racing in why and what he just did, but whatever it was left him exhausted and hurting. The Nightmare king legs gave in and he fell to his knees wheezing blood, his wings laid limp at his sides

Nevaeh didn't quite understand the gravity of the situation but she just rolled with it, " I have friendship! I can share!" The crazy fox said, she shifted to her human form and place a hand on Rosie, and looked to Mina " we're friends! If you want you can share to!" She held out her other hand to the Venatavis.

Mina looked at the Fox in confusion, deciding to say nothing in fear of hurting her feelings. She put her necklace on and shifted to her human form, taking Nevaeh’s hand.

“Unfortunately I’m magicless.” The blue haired girl responded to Rosie.

Boo frowned " it is very dark" she looked around " why is the room shaking?" She asked.

Crimson put his arms out the balance " what did Fiona or Hiiro blow up this time?" He thought out loud. The Dragon shapeshifter truned to the white Dreamer " what ever happened we should get going"

While she waited, Crystal had eventually gone back to the bench in her cell and sat there. She was blocking out all the sounds in the distance the best she could with her hands pressed to her ears.. Then the shaking started and startled her a bit. Crystal stared up at the ceiling, slowly becoming more anxious.

"I--I don't know, Boo," Purity explains to the dragonet as she offers her a piggyback ride, "It could be just about anything..." Then, she thinks to herself, somewhat worried, //... I wonder where Eater is...?//

Terra slows down just a moment as he notices Fiona's core glowing brightly, then flickering and dimming. "Fiona, please don't try to use too much of your energy, the fortress just seems to be crumbling. There's no monsters or anything, so please don't worry, and try to rest..."

//THE FORTRESS IS CRUMBLING?!// Fiona screamed in 'core language', //But I--! I GOTTA HELP SOMEHOW...!//
Though, the more she thought about it, the more she realized there really wasn't any way she could help at that moment. She especially wouldn't help if she got her form back, but was totally exhausted. //...Okay... You're right... Just... Please be careful...// The Elemental's core again went back to a stable, peaceful glow.

Boo gladly accepted the offer for piggy back ride, she glanced around and had a anxious look " Eater not back yet?" She whispered worried.

Crimson folded his arms impatiently "are we going? I can't really see we're anything at and don't want set anything off it I can help it"

Rosie pinned her ears back, "Nevaeh...friendship won't give me power" she hangs her head, "Alright, I'll have no choice but to use my lifesource"

Black markings spread from her chest, where her heart was, she grimaced. //Sin's poison is still in me// she roars as she feels the markings seep away more years of her life.

"Here we go!" Rosie yells and they disappear in a burst of pink flames.

Rosie, Mina and Nevaeh arrive outside of the city the others are in, the outskirts of it. She spews up some blood and collapses, unconscious.

Hiiro was heading to bite of Dreamcatcher's hand, when he caught a familiar scent. The large Xanos slowed, //Malice// a growl rises in his throat and he begins to track the Nightmare King as quietly as he can.

He slides each paw step carefully along the ground, so his claws don't click and give him away. Hiiro pins his ears back when he hears Malice roar.

Slithering up behind the Nightmare King, he parts his jaws wide, //How easy// and he clamps them down on Malice, sucking the Nightmare into his mouth and immediately trying to swallow him.

“Rosie!” Mina gasps, running over to the little Xanos unconscious on the floor. She crouches to her knees and carefully holds Rosie in her hands.l, wiping some blood from her mout with her shirt sleeve. “Nevaeh we need to go find help! She- she’s hurt.”

Nevaeh gasp "Rosie!!" She nearby her and looked up at Mina, her fear and worry on her face " yes! She needs help! " She looked to they're surrounding area " we're back?" She muttered noticing they were back in noticing they were back in Howaito. " There should be a hospital not to far" she pointed in the directions

Purity pauses a moment and glances over to Crimson, wondering how she's going to lead him with her arms supporting Boo. "Hang on Crimson, could you--"

As if to answer Purity's unspoken question, Dreameater soon comes charging down the hallway, huffing and panting heavily after all the running he's done, and scoops up Purity and Boo in one arm. "Wh... what're you standing around for, Bubble Brain!?" he demands, and then sets the two on his back, grabs Crimson with his other arm, and continues charging down the hall, passing Terradream.

At first, Purity screamed as she was grabbed so suddenly, but then clings to the giant werewolf's fur. "/What/ did you just call me?"

Terra feels somewhat relieved seeing Fiona's core at rest again, and he honestly tries to reassure her, "If you're worried about me, you don't need to be, I'm already dead, so I don't think these walls can hurt me.." Then he jumps when Eater runs passed him and quickly picks up his pace as well, not wanting to get lost.

(I may need to start seperating my posts for each character again, just as a heads up if I don't include everyone in one post Shadow and Fluffy 'XD )

”Okay, we better find that hospital quick.” Mina responded. She took off her necklace, carefully picking up the little Xanos in her left arm.

“I’m assuming you can’t fly?” She said to Nevaeh. “I’ll fly up and find a hospital, it’ll be quicker. I’ll meet you there!”

Without another word, Mina flapped her wings with all of her strength to get airborne. She softly cradled an unconscious Rosie in her hands as she flew, scouting the area for any signs of a hospital.

Malice was just trying to recover and figure out what just happened to himself, when all the sudden the Nightmare king was snatched up in one of the people he hated most mouth.

Malice roared with rage, his talons on his wings dug into the Xanos tongue, the Nightmare king burst into Shadows as his chains shot out and wrapped around anything that they could or impel themselves, Malice was fully in his nightmarish form, his spine so long has armor raised with flames sparking between them, he shouted so very unnice things as summons his sword

Hiiro gagged when he felt the talons of Malice's wings dig into his tongue, even more so when he felt chains impale the inside of his mouth. Using his tongue, he pressed the Nightmare King against the roof of his mouth as hard as he could.

He then started thrashing his head, his mouth open wide as he tried to fling Malice out. Hiiro then settled for ripping the Nightmare King out of his mouth, gripping him with a paw and pulling him out of his mouth. So Malice's chains and talons were forced out.

Hiiro spit out blood and squeezed Malice in his paw as hard as he could, his muscles in his arm flexing tightly as he squeezed the porcupine King. He ignored the spiny armor digging into his paw.

"Eater!!" Boo squealed happily, seen her dark Guardian return " you came back!!" -

Crimson didn't have the same cheerful response "WHAT THE HECK?! LET ME GO MONSTER!! "

I really don't trust anything at this point. Well, except you, Terra!// Fiona thought, feeling happy that there was at least someone she could trust. //That, and I just /really/ don't want /anyone/ to get squashed!//

" nope! I'm a girl, we don't come with wings!" Nevaeh pointed to her wingless back.

She waved her hand " ok! I'll see you there!" She cuffed her hands around and shouted.

The midnight Walker shifted to her fox form and started to run in the Direction but unfortunately Nevaeh never does well unattended...

Malice was going to cut off the dragons tongue but he didn't have time before he was ripped out.

The Nightmare king refused to make any Sounds of pain despite how much he was hurting, he wouldn't give the dragon the satisfaction. Malice bared his fangs with hate for Hiiro, he knew fire wasn't that effective on the dragon, electric pulse when out from Malice and His chains coiled around and shot forward impaling the Xanos hand

Hiiro roared from the pulse and then roared, "These chains of yours are annoying!" he shakes his arm now, trying to get the Nightmare King off of him.

After flying over several city streets, Mina finally spotted the hospital. She landed rather roughly given the fact that her front legs were holding Rosie.

The Venatavis stepped into the building and walked up to the front desk, where a grumpy-looking dragon nurse was sitting.

“My friend is hurt... I don’t know what’s wrong with her, but she coughed up blood and now she’s unconscious.” Mina explained. The nurse mumbled incoherently and stretched out a paw. The Venatavis dug into her bag and placed a few gold coins into her palm. The nurse nodded and outstretched her arms. Mina carefully gave the nurse Rosie, and the two disappeared through a door.

Mina put on her necklace and turned to the chairs situated in the waiting area. Just as she was about to sit down, loud noises from down the block caught her attention. Knowing that it would take a while for Rosie to heal, Mina ran out the door and towards the source of the noise.

Quietly peeking out from behind the corner of a building, Mina spotted Hiiro struggling with what seemed to be Malice. She ducked back behind the building wall again, the markings on her arm tingling slightly from Malice’s presence. She quietly peeked her head out from the building to watch them once more.

Malice pumped his wings and push off of when he got the chance, he struggled for breath but ignored it as much as he could. The Nightmare king chains came back to him, he focus his power into his wings and gave them a powerful pump, sending a Shockwave of Dark Magic from them, it shattered the windows and walls of the nearby buildings

( ok! We come up with a plan! Lilly said she got it on, but it's super finicky and will shut off been touched certain ways. so she going to use it see what happens and reply on the PS4 and I will post her reply back on here for her )

Alexandrea felt the dark pulse, she recognized the sensation in her skin right away, //Malice// she spreads her wings and takes off towards the sensation.

Hiiro put his arms up in front of his face and braced himself against the shockwave. The wave tore off more of his scales and injured his exposed skin, Hiiro bit back a roar. Drawing in a breath, he blasted fire at the Nightmare King.

Alexandrea didn't take long to find the fighting, groaning, //Are you kidding me!?// she beats her wings harder.

"Of... course I came back," Eater says in between breaths, "I always keep my promises." Although now the idea of promises reminds him of what his former self had said, and the Nightmare wrinkles his nose...

... And promptly snaps back at Crimson, "Quiet! You're blind and slow and we STILL need to save Crystal! I can't believe you haven't done that already!!"

Purity just stays quiet for now, she's still a bit shaken after being swooped off her feet by a giant purple werewolf.

Malice painted after his attack // that shouldn't have taken that much energy // his thoughts were interrupted when Hiiro launched his attack.

Malice beaded his wings to evade, but ever wing beat shot pain though out the Nightmare king, he ignored it, giving himself some room, Malice summoned his bow and really a shot for the Dragon

Alexandrea shot between the Nightmare King and Xanos, spreading out her wings and glowing brightly. "Enough!" she looks to Malice with her sharp silver eyes, then to Hiiro, "Both of you! You're just wasting your time and energy"

Hiiro growled, pinning his ears back and flicking his tail in annoyance. His eyes didn't leave Malice.

Malice held his shot "Damnit move, Alex!" He demanded. His lips twitched when she made eye contact, he lower his bow but keep his eyes on the Dragon
