hOW ARE YOU ALWAYS SO GOOD AT BACKGROUNDS AND STUFF Anyways Hi I think I'm all done for this night except for the doggo squad, but when morning rolls around that could be when they meet back up? If Draco's about that is ;w;
I'VE BEEN ASKED WHY I'M GOOD AT CLOUDS BEFORE AND I DON'T KNOW I JUST THROW PAINT EVERYWHERE
Alrighty! Since we've been stuck on this night for a while, I'd like to skip forwards... And I don't think Draco will be around until next Saturday meeting, so we may as well do it now. If it works for the dog squad, of course.
Okie, that's fine! :D Yeah, I think they can wait until next Saturday. From what I remember, Jed and Toby are relatively close by, so Keenan and Thorn just need to catch up.
I might come back in a little bit and write something to start off the next day, unless you'd like to write the first thingy? You might've wanted to do something with your characters.
(Crowley is going to be free too, if anyone wants to talk to him.)
It was the crack of dawn when Crowley awoke, lying on the floor of an unfamiliar place. Slowly, he pushed himself into a sitting position and rubbed his eyes, trying to remember where he had been the night before.
'Oh, yeah,' he mumbled after a while. 'I went to an abandoned bar and drank like half the alcohol.' That probably explained why he had one hell of a headache. He groaned and pulled himself to his feet, feeling slightly queasy. The bar was empty except for him, and there were broken beer bottles and some spilled drink on the floor. 'Huh, I must've been REALLY drunk...'
Ana hadn't slept well. All night she had lain awake on the roof of Atlas Tower, fretting over how Sargon might see her now... now that she was dead. //He won't like me anymore!// she had thought, over and over again. //He'll think I'm disgusting!//
Eventually, unable to sit still any longer, she took off and flew away. Maybe a short flight in the early-morning air would clear her head.
Armin, after returning from his chat with Magnus the night before, had seemingly forgotten that he even HAD a hotel room, and was sleeping in one of the chairs in the lobby.
{With the morning of a new day, came the consequences of the night. The Illusionist was busy, reversing the work Dianne had done, spreading the curse far and wide amongst Sargon's people. Dianne had been busy too, negotiating favorable terms on which to return to Shacklestone and finish the job.
In Shacklestone, the morning reports come in to Sargon. //Uh, sir, this is my morning report, the foraging teams did their best, but we're still dangerously low on food. To make matters worse, the curse seems to have spread much further, infecting half of our orphanage garrison and most of the east side. We've done our best to quarantine them, but there's no telling how many more are infected...//}
{Dianne walks in to the hotel lobby, followed by two human-centaur constructs and a rather large fabricated human draugr with a greatsword and a guitar. The centaurs are quite muscular and are covered in deerskin. Each has jagged, makeshift metal blades set into each finger and toe to serve as claws and a mouth full of fangs. Sending the fabricated human off into the hotel, Dianne waits, standing in front of Armin and eyeing him impatiently.}
Sargon was in his quarters, reading as usual. He listened to the reports coming in, then responded: //Continue quarantining the infected groups to the best of your ability. I spoke to Dianne last night, and she plans to continue recalling the curse today. I'm sure we'll be completely rid of it before long.// He set down the papers he was reading and stood up. //Clearly, to remedy the lack of supplies, we will need to gather food from other parts of the country. I have heard that Riverside is no longer available to us.//
One of the doors upstairs thumped open and Ivy came down the stairs, yawning. She looked decidedly bedraggled, having only gotten a couple hours of sleep the night before. She entered the lobby and, ignoring both Dianne and Armin, went into the kitchen to make her usual cup of coffee.
{//Yes sir, our preliminary scouting missions have reported that all the crops over there have mysteriously disappeared. Wait...you //spoke// to her? What did she say?//}
{Dianne ignores Ivy as well, and turns to see some of Jerry's family walk in, along with Jerry, looking a little tired.} "Dianne, Magnus said you had something important to tell us?"
//She wants a truce,// said Sargon. //We are not to attack her or anyone she is travelling with until the curse is recalled. As such, I want all troops either here, in Atlas Tower, or staying inside other buildings nearby. I do not want any patrols or single warriors wandering around the city until I say otherwise.//
Wendigo was out flying in his dragon form, unaccompanied by Frederick for once. He knew that Ana was also out flying, and he was purposely avoiding running into her. He swept low over the city, somewhat bored, keeping his eyes open for anything unusual.
//Yes sir. I'll give the order now. Although, if I may, this just doesn't make any sense. If she's the reason this curse is infecting all of us, why is she so willing to recall it?//
{Dianne took a look around to make sure everyone was present. Once everyone had arrived, she began to explain.} "Ok, everyone, listen up. Yesterday's events proved that Sargon is too stupid to know when to leave things be so they can get better, as shown by his attack on us. To remedy this, last night, I sent Sargon a cell phone, so we could talk." {She holds up her phone. Before she could go on, however, Jerry interjects.} Jerry: "What? Why?" Old Man: "Quiet, boy, let her talk." Dianne: "Look, we need to get back in there, one way or another. I did this to negotiate favorable terms for us so we can stop this without having to fight off his entire army. In fact, I told him if he didn't do this on my terms, then I wouldn't recall it at all." Steve: "So, what were your terms, and what did he say?" Dianne: "My terms were that neither he nor his men would attack me or anyone working with me for as long as the curse was not contained. He agreed. Basically, we're going back today, and we're going to have our run of the place. If there was anything any of you needed to retrieve from the city, or if any of you wanted to gather more intel on them, now is the time to do it, when our enemy can't fight back."
//Two reasons,// said Sargon. //First of all, she was not the one who unleashed the curse. She created it, but it was then stolen from her and released by somebody else. I have yet to find out who. Secondly, if she does not recall the curse, then not only will we all die, but every human will die too, and then it will spread to infect anyone in Riverside and the surrounding settlements as well.//
Ivy listened to this speech, then grinned evilly. 'So we can just walk in there and do /anything/ we want? Without getting attacked by monsters? I'm in!' She ducked back inside the kitchen and returned a moment later with a cup of coffee, coming out to join the others in the lobby area.
Dianne: "Well, pretty much. We just need to be careful, though. I think Sargon might attack if we give any indication of sabotage." {At this, Jerry's family all begin to share Ivy's grin.} Sarah: "Oh, don't worry, he won't know. Joe! Get your dynamite!" Grandpa Joe: "Ehehehehe! Let's blow some sh!t up!" Jerry: "You know, this would be an excellent time to gather everything in my basement armory. We might need the ordinance." Old Man: "Good idea. we'll get a team together. This is too good an opportunity to pass up."
{As everyone was enthusiastically talking about what to do, Eliza walked up to where Armin was sleeping.} Eliza: "Hey, what do you think about all--What the...? Armin, are you still asleep?"
//I see. Actually, I think I know who's responsible for spreading the curse. All of the areas that were infected last night reported seeing a person in a black cloak and a gas mask. He's also the one that has just been massacring all our night patrols, we think.//
Ivy cackled with laughter. 'Now we're going to blow things up? This sounds like my kind of day!' She glanced around in surprise when she heard Eliza speaking. 'Huh? Oh yeah, he's still asleep. Or maybe he's dead - that would be OK too.' She shrugged uncaringly and kicked Armin's foot.
At that, he jerked awake, gaze roving across the room as he realised how many other people were there. '...I wasn't asleep,' he said unconvincingly.
Sargon paused to consider. //In that case, we may have to consider leaving the city earlier than I originally planned. If this person is capable of not only stealing from Dianne, but also slaughtering entire patrols of our people, then I doubt we could find and kill him.// He was referring, of course, to his plans to take over Sovereign's City and move his army there instead. //The royal city is much larger than Shacklestone, with better defences.//
//Yes, my Lord, but with all due respect, we cannot risk bringing this disease with us. And then there's the issue of the food. Do we have enough to make the trek?//
//The journey would not take long,// said Sargon. //With the aid of the dragons, we could get there in less than a day. And as for the curse... We will wait, for today, and see if Dianne succeeds in recalling all of it. If she does, then it will be safe to leave the city.//
//Yes, my Lord. However, what happens if she is unsuccessful? If perhaps, the Illusionist, as our men have come to call him, holds on to a small part of the curse for redistribution every time Dianne tries to recall it? I fear, if we cannot deal with this individual, we may be in serious trouble. //
{Eliza rolls her eyes.} "Not just that. She made Sargon agree not to attack any of us as long as the curse is around. So, we can go do whatever we want."
//I will ask Dianne about it,// Sargon replied. //I have the means to contact her any time I need to. Perhaps she will know how to deal with this individual. If not, we will discuss our other options.//
'Sargon agreed not to attack us?' Armin repeated, a surprised tone to his voice. 'Well, that's unexpected. I suppose he realises how much trouble this curse is going to cause him if nobody can stop it... Though of course, he'll go back to trying to kill us as soon as it's over.'
//Of course, my Lord. I will give the order for our troops to withdraw, so that Dianne can deal with this quickly. // {The commander send out the telepathic order.} \\Now hear this: All units are to withdraw from the streets to Atlas tower and its surrounding buildings, on the order of the count. Especially you, Ana, the last thing we need is you making this situation worse.//
Dianne: "I know. Which is why before I get the last of it, everyone but me needs the get the f$&k out of dodge. Of course, I won't recall too much until we're ready to run. "
Ana had been circling quietly over the Gold District when she heard the signal, and gave a shriek of annoyance. 'I don't want to go back!' she exclaimed, even though nobody could hear her. 'I want to kill someone! That might make me feel better and maybe the Count will like me again!' Ignoring the telepathic call, she flew further away, heading for the city gates. If she couldn't attack anyone in Shacklestone, then she'd just attack them outside the city instead.
Old Man: "Not everyone, some people need to stay here. But, a good majority need to go to help with all the things we need to do." Sarah: "Everyone listen up! Get your shet together and mount up! We're leaving in thirty!"
Armin got out of his chair and went into the kitchen, where he took the remainder of the coffee Ivy had made, and then wandered back into the lobby with it. 'I'll go,' he said. 'I don't think it matters if I get recognised anymore.'
'I'm going too,' said Ivy again, finishing her drink. 'I need some kind of weapon, just in case. Does anyone have a gun or dagger they'd be willing to part with?'
'Ohh... I think I still have that!' Ivy held up one finger to signal everyone to wait, then sprinted upstairs to her room. She returned a couple of minutes later with her dagger. 'I just hope this is enough!'
Armin went outside while everyone else was still getting ready for the trip. He had no weaponry on him except for his sword, which was sheathed across his back as usual. He leaned against the wall of the hotel to wait.
{Jerry lifts an eyebrow. } "And what about that pistol you were practicing with?"
{As Armin leaned against the wall, the fabricated draugr with the sword and guitar approaches him, playing a tune.} "Hey, Armin. Like my new bod? Smexy, no?"
Ivy shrugged. 'I didn't KEEP that. I was only using it to practise. But if you give me one, I can use it.'
Armin looked up as the draugr approached, and ran his eyes over him. 'Very,' he said, grinning. 'You're not planning to take that guitar into the city, are you? I don't think it'll be much help to you in there,' he added jokingly.
"Naw." {He replied.} "If I break it and stab a vampire with the neck of it, I won't have it to play anymore. Planning on doing anything special while Sargon can't touch us? Maybe some more....pranks?"
{Jerry nods.} "I'll give you one when we get to my basement. C'mon, let's see if the others are ready."
'What are you going to do?' said Armin, looking impressed by the imitation. 'You could steal Dianne's phone and call Sargon, pretending to be Ana. That might be fun.'
"Well, I could..." {Magnus says.}"...But she'd get pissed and maybe hurt us both. But, I know the number to the phone Dianne gave Sargon, so I would just need a phone in general. What should I say to him?"
Armin raised an eyebrow. 'Weeeell... We all know that Ana's in love with Sargon, but she never tells him that outright. So maybe you could have her say how much she likes him... and see how he reacts.' He smiled slightly, imagining the scene.
'Hey! Isn't anyone ready yet? I thought we were in a hurry!' exclaimed Ivy impatiently.
{Ignoring Ivy, Magnus pulls a devious face.} "Hm, that's not a bad idea. I think I can pull that off. I just need to act like a desperate, rotting hooker, and be //very// descriptive with my 'desires'. Ahahahaha!"
{After everyone seemed prepared, Dianne addressed everyone.} "Alright, everyone, here's how this is going to go. I'm going to fly ahead with Jerry and his team, while the rest of you follow along in your vehicles. A vanguard of centaurs will go with you. Once we make sure that this isn't a trap, we'll call you and you can all drive right in. Let's go!" {With that, Dianne transforms and waits for everyone to get on.}
'A desperate, rotting hooker... Hmm... I'll be sure to call her that next time I see her.' With a laugh, Armin left Magnus and leapt onto Dianne's back. 'I'll go ahead with you. You'll want people who can actually fight, if it's a trap.'
Ivy scowled at this. 'Hmph! Well, I'll follow behind in a car,' she said reluctantly, realising that if it WAS a trap and they were attacked, she probably wouldn't be much help.
{Eliza, Jerry, the Old Man, and Magnus all joined Armin on Dianne's back. Uncle Bob gladly allowed Ivy to ride with him and Sarah. With everything ready, they set off towards the city.}
Armin eyed the city as they flew nearer. 'It looks deserted,' he said. 'Maybe Sargon really did listen to you. That's unexpected.'
Ivy sat in the back of Bob's car, looking out of the window, her dagger lying across her lap, thinking about what she would do if she encountered a lone member of Sargon's forces.
Before Dianne could reach the city, there came a sound of flapping wings from somewhere to the north. Armin glanced around. 'Hey...' he said slowly. 'Is that Ana flying around over there? I don't think she's seen us yet.'
"I thought I told you to withdraw your people!" {Dianne said with a snarl.} "I'm looking right at that blue wretch you after me, patrolling the northern border! Call her back, or I'll send what's left of her to you in a teacup!"
'Ana is out there?' said Sargon, sounding a little surprised. 'I can assure you that I ordered her to withdraw. I can't imagine why she would have disobeyed me.' While he was talking, he also sent a telepathic call directly to Ana, ordering her to return.
In the sky above the city, Ana heard the message, She also spotted Dianne and the others. She hovered in the air, glaring down at them but not daring to attack, when her master had forbidden it.
Before Sargon could say anything, Ana gave a roar of frustration and circled around before heading back towards the centre of the city. It was just possible to hear her yelling insults in the distance before she flew out of earshot.
'I believe you'll have no more trouble with her,' said Sargon calmly.
Armin climbed back up and watched Ana disappearing behind the distant buildings. 'I'd watch out for her,' he said. 'The moment this truce is over, I bet she's going to be coming after us.'
"Yes." {Dianne says while taking off.} "And the moment she dares to show her face to me, I will tear her soul from her body and send her straight to hell, where she belongs."
{The flight to the city gate was a short one. Dianne circles the gate a few times looking for assailants. Seeing none, she lands, letting everyone get of before shifting.}
'Looks deserted,' said Armin, jumping down and gazing at the empty city street past the gate. 'Sounds deserted. Smells deserted, too. Well, it smells of blood, decay, and mould... Which is normal.'
Ivy, in the back of Bob's car, said impatiently, 'Are we going into the city yet?'
{Bob looks at Ivy through the rear view mirror.} "Not till we get the ok." {Just then, his phone rings.} "Hello? Yeah.......Ok, we're coming." {Hanging up, he starts the car and starts driving for the gates.} "It's all clear. Here we go."
{Dianne takes a moment to stand, feeling for the curse.} "It's worse than yesterday." {She says softly.} "The curse has spread further than last time."
{Dianne sighs and turns to Armin.} "Probably. This likely won't end until we deal with him directly." {At that moment, all of Jerry's family's cars arrive, stopping once inside the gates, followed by Dianne's centaurs. Getting off, Bob approaches Jerry.} "So, what's the plan?" Jerry: "Well, I'll need to go with you so we can get all my supplies from my basement. Last I checked though, Sargon had centuries posted at my office. We might have to deal with them first"
'Hey! I want something to do!' Ivy's voice came from behind them; she had just let herself out of the car and hurried after Bob. 'Should I go with you to this basement thing, or am I needed somewhere else?'
'I don't think they'll be sentries there if Sargon has recalled all of his troops,' Armin pointed out. To Dianne, he said, 'What do you think we can do about the Illusionist?'
Bob: "Yeah, come with us to the basement. Help us pack it all up, we'll need it." Jerry: "Armin has a point. We should check, just to be sure." Dianne: "As far as the Illusionist goes, we have two options. Either we try to find him during the day, when we can see him, or we wait 'till night, and set a trap for him."
'Yes!' Ivy punched the air triumphantly. //I want to know what's in this basement... Monster-killing weapons, probably... Hmmm...//
Armin eyed Dianne. 'Well, don't ask us for ideas. The last time WE met him, I got stabbed multiple times, and Jerry and his dad hid in the city hall like scared little kids.'
"Fine." {She says.} "Not that you've been much help to begin with. But, you're coming with me to recall the curse." {With that, Dianne turns to Jerry.} "Alright, I'm taking Eliza, Armin, your dad, and Magnus with me. We'll mop up the last of the curse. Get done what you need to get done then rendezvous with me. We can recall the curse all we want, but if we don't deal with Oliver, this will never end."
Ivy slunk to Jerry's side, knife drawn, waiting for him to lead the way. It was rare for Ivy to show real loyalty to anyone, but she certainly seemed to have developed a strong respect for Jerry and his family in the short time she'd known them.
Armin nodded and went with Dianne, glancing at Magnus as he moved. 'Nice that we're on the same team,' he said. 'Maybe we'll run into some rogue evil guys and I can see if you really are any good at fighting.'
{Dianne starts walking, expecting her team to follow. Magnus turns to Armin as he goes along.} "Well, if we come across that short Crowdragon guy, I could show you how to perform a 'Glory Kill."
{Jerry and his family start to walk towards his office with a few of them staying behind to bring the vehicles once they hear the all clear.}
"C'mon..." {Magnus chuckles.} "This is the Crowdragon guy we're talking about. If he doesn't attack first, I'd suspect he's fallen ill or something. " "Well, it's an armory." {Jerry explains.} "It's filled with weapons. Once this truce is over, Sargon's probably going to be really mad, so we're going to need lots of weapons."
'Hm, that might be true. He does seem the type to attack anything that moves just because he can.' Armin shrugged and glanced in Dianne's direction. 'Where are we going exactly? Where's the rest of the curse?'
'Hmmm...' said Ivy thoughtfully. 'I don't suppose you have anything in there that we could kill the Illusionist with, do you?'
{Dianne didn't even turn when she spoke.} "East part of the city. Not far now." { Magnus takes this time to make a mockery of Crowley. } "I know right? He's all like, 'I do what I want, when I want! I don't care about the consequences, I just want to make an ass of myself by picking fights with gods and monsters far beyond my league!' {Every word Magnus said was in Crowley's voice.}
{Jerry gives that question some thought. } "Maybe. However, weapons are only good when you can hit people with them, and Oliver can move so fast that achieving that might be hard. However, he's only human, so I think we'll only have to hit him once."
'Maybe he has some sort of god complex,' said Armin. 'He thinks he can beat anyone. Shame he hasn't noticed how much he's been losing fights recently.'
Ivy was quiet for a minute or two while she thought about this. 'He uses magic to make himself faster than us, doesn't he? Like an enchanted cloak or something? Maybe WE could find some magic to use against HIM. Maybe there's a spell that could reverse his speed thing.'
{Magnus nods.} "Maybe. I'm pretty sure he's not mentally stable though. That one time he fought Dianne, he tripped her with his tail, laughed, and then started to walk away. He went from trying to kill her, to playing a prank of sorts. Yeah, he's kinda weird." {Dianne stops, signaling her group to stop.} "We're here." {Before them lay the orphanage, abandoned and reeking of death.}
"Well, Ivy, I wouldn't be the one to ask for that." {Jerry replied.} "Dianne might know though." {As he spoke, his group was approaching his office.} "Eyes up. See any guards?"
Armin started to answer - probably with another insult about Crowley - but stopped when he saw where they'd come to. 'This place?' he said. 'Has anyone even been here recently?'
Ivy stared at the building. 'I can't see anyone...' she said. Then she wrinkled her nose in apparent disgust. 'It stinks of werewolf, though! Whoever was guarding here must have only just left.'
"Wait here. I think there's a lot of them in there." {Dianne says as she enters the building. Once she kicks down the door, the sound of flies is clearly heard.} Magnus: "Does that answer your question, Armin? Seems like it was in heavy use up until last night."
Armin backed away a step as the rotting smell from inside the building reached his nose. 'Urgh. That place reeks of death and infection. Why are there so many cursed people in there?'
Magnus: "It's likely a quarantine zone. An infection probably broke out here and Sargon's people locked them in and left them for dead." {Eliza, who had been very quiet, got a bit closer to Armin and Magnus the moment the door was opened.} Eliza: "Ewwwwww..."
'That makes sense...' Armin glanced down at Eliza as she spoke, a little surprised to see her there; she'd been so quiet that he'd forgotten she was on their team. ''Ewwww' sounds about right. Why do I have this feeling that it's going to be even worse than yesterday...?'
"Maybe that's why?" {Magnus points at the building. From the doorway come an infected werewolf, losing hair from the curse and shambling towards them.} "Help me...!"
Armin drew his sword, though he wasn't going to kill the werewolf unless he knew it was too far gone to save it. 'Hey! Dianne! Where'd you go? There's one out here right now.'
{Dianne appeared as quickly as she left.} "I got it. Come here you mangy bastard." {Dianne grabbed a hold of him and recalled the curse, causing him to pass out.} "There. By the way, it looks like the quarantine room in Atlas tower in there, but on every floor, so don't....Wait, where's the short one?" {It seemed that Eliza had bolted the moment the wolf came into view.}
'Looks like she ran for it,' observed Armin. 'Not that I'd blame her.' He backtracked a few paces back the way they had come, looking around for her. 'Eliiiizaaa? The zombie's gone, you can come out now.'
Old Man: "Eliza, we don't have time for this." {Just then, Eliza screamed from a few streets away.} "Eliza!?" Dianne: "Magnus! Go!" {Without hesitation, Magnus jumped clear over Armin and the Old man and took off in the direction of the scream.}
Armin wasted no time in running after Magnus, easily able to keep pace with the draugr, while scanning the area for anything that might have caused Eliza's scream.
Ivy came forwards cautiously, poking her head around the door to have a look before she slipped inside. 'This office is boring,' she said as she gazed around. 'But then, ALL offices are boring.'
{As Magnus was running, he caught a glimpse of Eliza running in the opposite direction on a parallel street.} "There you are." {Quickly, he wall-jumps between buildings, lands on the roof of one, and runs after her from the roof.}
{Jerry grins.} "So they are. That is, until you look a little deeper." {Shoving aside a filing cabinet, Jerry opens his basement doors to reveal his armory.}
Armin watched Magnus wall-jump onto the roof, and knowing that he probably couldn't accomplish such a thing himself, instead transformed into his hawk form and flew over the buildings. As a flying creature, he was faster than Magnus and quickly succeeded in catching up to Eliza. He considered landing on her shoulder, then decided it would probably scare her to death and flew above her instead, giving an inquiring hawk screech.
Ivy followed, not sure what to expect. Then she caught sight of the hidden armoury. 'Mmhm... I'm impressed,' she said with a slow grin. 'Who would ever guess this might be here? So, what are we going to take?'
{When Eliza hears Armin, she stops and points in the opposite direction.} "They're coming!" {From around that corner comes shambling some infected. However, something is different about these. They're oozing the curse, trailing it everywhere, and their eyes are so full of the stuff that it seems a wonder they can see at all.}

Hi
I think I'm all done for this night except for the doggo squad, but when morning rolls around that could be when they meet back up? If Draco's about that is ;w;

I MEAN IT WORKS
IT WORKS VERY WELL
Okie, that's fine! :D
Yeah, I think they can wait until next Saturday. From what I remember, Jed and Toby are relatively close by, so Keenan and Thorn just need to catch up.
13 May, 2018, 10:54 am
Alright, I'm sure we can make it all work out.
I might come back in a little bit and write something to start off the next day, unless you'd like to write the first thingy? You might've wanted to do something with your characters.
13 May, 2018, 11:00 am
Nah, I got nothing ;w;
Mia's got nothing to do and I'll have to wait for Aggron to see where Pythia is so Morty can get healed up

(Hmm, I gotta have someone bump into Mia at some point. Maybe Ana, she has nothing to do.)

It was the crack of dawn when Crowley awoke, lying on the floor of an unfamiliar place. Slowly, he pushed himself into a sitting position and rubbed his eyes, trying to remember where he had been the night before.

Ivy was in her hotel room, fast asleep.

In Shacklestone, the morning reports come in to Sargon.
//Uh, sir, this is my morning report, the foraging teams did their best, but we're still dangerously low on food. To make matters worse, the curse seems to have spread much further, infecting half of our orphanage garrison and most of the east side. Sending the fabricated human off into the hotel, Dianne waits, standing in front of Armin and eyeing him impatiently.}

( @King Btw, Pythia's just going to be sitting in her temple, reading. :/ )
13 May, 2018, 5:44 pm
Sargon was in his quarters, reading as usual. He listened to the reports coming in, then responded: //Continue quarantining the infected groups to the best of your ability. I spoke to Dianne last night, and she plans to continue recalling the curse today. I'm sure we'll be completely rid of it before long.// He set down the papers he was reading and stood up. //Clearly, to remedy the lack of supplies, we will need to gather food from other parts of the country. I have heard that Riverside is no longer available to us.//
13 May, 2018, 5:46 pm
One of the doors upstairs thumped open and Ivy came down the stairs, yawning. She looked decidedly bedraggled, having only gotten a couple hours of sleep the night before. She entered the lobby and, ignoring both Dianne and Armin, went into the kitchen to make her usual cup of coffee.
13 May, 2018, 6:04 pm
{//Yes sir, our preliminary scouting missions have reported that all the crops over there have mysteriously disappeared. Wait...you //spoke// to her? What did she say?//}
13 May, 2018, 6:06 pm
{Dianne ignores Ivy as well, and turns to see some of Jerry's family walk in, along with Jerry, looking a little tired.} "Dianne, Magnus said you had something important to tell us?"
13 May, 2018, 6:45 pm
//She wants a truce,// said Sargon. //We are not to attack her or anyone she is travelling with until the curse is recalled. As such, I want all troops either here, in Atlas Tower, or staying inside other buildings nearby. I do not want any patrols or single warriors wandering around the city until I say otherwise.//
13 May, 2018, 6:46 pm
Ivy stuck her head out of the kitchen doorway, a bit of curiosity breaking through her tired exterior. 'What? Something important?'
Armin continued to sleep, giving no indication that there were several people talking in the same room as him.
13 May, 2018, 6:55 pm
(Anyone who might be interested)
Wendigo was out flying in his dragon form, unaccompanied by Frederick for once. He knew that Ana was also out flying, and he was purposely avoiding running into her. He swept low over the city, somewhat bored, keeping his eyes open for anything unusual.
14 May, 2018, 3:36 am
//Yes sir. I'll give the order now. Although, if I may, this just doesn't make any sense. If she's the reason this curse is infecting all of us, why is she so willing to recall it?//
14 May, 2018, 3:59 am
{Dianne took a look around to make sure everyone was present. Once everyone had arrived, she began to explain.} "Ok, everyone, listen up. Yesterday's events proved that Sargon is too stupid to know when to leave things be so they can get better, as shown by his attack on us. To remedy this, last night, I sent Sargon a cell phone, so we could talk." {She holds up her phone. Before she could go on, however, Jerry interjects.}
Jerry: "What? Why?"
Old Man: "Quiet, boy, let her talk."
Dianne: "Look, we need to get back in there, one way or another. I did this to negotiate favorable terms for us so we can stop this without having to fight off his entire army. In fact, I told him if he didn't do this on my terms, then I wouldn't recall it at all."
Steve: "So, what were your terms, and what did he say?"
Dianne: "My terms were that neither he nor his men would attack me or anyone working with me for as long as the curse was not contained. He agreed. Basically, we're going back today, and we're going to have our run of the place. If there was anything any of you needed to retrieve from the city, or if any of you wanted to gather more intel on them, now is the time to do it, when our enemy can't fight back."
14 May, 2018, 10:07 am
//Two reasons,// said Sargon. //First of all, she was not the one who unleashed the curse. She created it, but it was then stolen from her and released by somebody else. I have yet to find out who. Secondly, if she does not recall the curse, then not only will we all die, but every human will die too, and then it will spread to infect anyone in Riverside and the surrounding settlements as well.//
14 May, 2018, 10:09 am
Ivy listened to this speech, then grinned evilly. 'So we can just walk in there and do /anything/ we want? Without getting attacked by monsters? I'm in!' She ducked back inside the kitchen and returned a moment later with a cup of coffee, coming out to join the others in the lobby area.
14 May, 2018, 4:21 pm
Dianne: "Well, pretty much. We just need to be careful, though. I think Sargon might attack if we give any indication of sabotage." {At this, Jerry's family all begin to share Ivy's grin.}
Sarah: "Oh, don't worry, he won't know. Joe! Get your dynamite!"
Grandpa Joe: "Ehehehehe! Let's blow some sh!t up!"
Jerry: "You know, this would be an excellent time to gather everything in my basement armory. We might need the ordinance."
Old Man: "Good idea. we'll get a team together. This is too good an opportunity to pass up."
{As everyone was enthusiastically talking about what to do, Eliza walked up to where Armin was sleeping.}
Eliza: "Hey, what do you think about all--What the...? Armin, are you still asleep?"
14 May, 2018, 4:25 pm
//I see. Actually, I think I know who's responsible for spreading the curse. All of the areas that were infected last night reported seeing a person in a black cloak and a gas mask. He's also the one that has just been massacring all our night patrols, we think.//
14 May, 2018, 4:29 pm
Ivy cackled with laughter. 'Now we're going to blow things up? This sounds like my kind of day!' She glanced around in surprise when she heard Eliza speaking. 'Huh? Oh yeah, he's still asleep. Or maybe he's dead - that would be OK too.' She shrugged uncaringly and kicked Armin's foot.
At that, he jerked awake, gaze roving across the room as he realised how many other people were there. '...I wasn't asleep,' he said unconvincingly.
14 May, 2018, 4:32 pm
Sargon paused to consider. //In that case, we may have to consider leaving the city earlier than I originally planned. If this person is capable of not only stealing from Dianne, but also slaughtering entire patrols of our people, then I doubt we could find and kill him.// He was referring, of course, to his plans to take over Sovereign's City and move his army there instead. //The royal city is much larger than Shacklestone, with better defences.//
14 May, 2018, 4:33 pm
{Eliza sighs, crosses her arms, and taps her foot impatiently} "Liar. Did you even hear a thing Dianne said?"
14 May, 2018, 4:36 pm
//Yes, my Lord, but with all due respect, we cannot risk bringing this disease with us. And then there's the issue of the food. Do we have enough to make the trek?//
14 May, 2018, 4:46 pm
'It can't have been THAT important,' said Armin. 'We're going back to the city today to get rid of the curse, right?'
14 May, 2018, 4:48 pm
//The journey would not take long,// said Sargon. //With the aid of the dragons, we could get there in less than a day. And as for the curse... We will wait, for today, and see if Dianne succeeds in recalling all of it. If she does, then it will be safe to leave the city.//
14 May, 2018, 5:02 pm
//Yes, my Lord. However, what happens if she is unsuccessful? If perhaps, the Illusionist, as our men have come to call him, holds on to a small part of the curse for redistribution every time Dianne tries to recall it? I fear, if we cannot deal with this individual, we may be in serious trouble. //
14 May, 2018, 5:04 pm
{Eliza rolls her eyes.} "Not just that. She made Sargon agree not to attack any of us as long as the curse is around. So, we can go do whatever we want."
14 May, 2018, 5:43 pm
//I will ask Dianne about it,// Sargon replied. //I have the means to contact her any time I need to. Perhaps she will know how to deal with this individual. If not, we will discuss our other options.//
14 May, 2018, 5:46 pm
'Sargon agreed not to attack us?' Armin repeated, a surprised tone to his voice. 'Well, that's unexpected. I suppose he realises how much trouble this curse is going to cause him if nobody can stop it... Though of course, he'll go back to trying to kill us as soon as it's over.'
14 May, 2018, 5:51 pm
//Of course, my Lord. I will give the order for our troops to withdraw, so that Dianne can deal with this quickly. // {The commander send out the telepathic order.} \\Now hear this: All units are to withdraw from the streets to Atlas tower and its surrounding buildings, on the order of the count. Especially you, Ana, the last thing we need is you making this situation worse.//
14 May, 2018, 5:55 pm
Dianne: "I know. Which is why before I get the last of it, everyone but me needs the get the f$&k out of dodge. Of course, I won't recall too much until we're ready to run. "
14 May, 2018, 6:01 pm
Ana had been circling quietly over the Gold District when she heard the signal, and gave a shriek of annoyance. 'I don't want to go back!' she exclaimed, even though nobody could hear her. 'I want to kill someone! That might make me feel better and maybe the Count will like me again!' Ignoring the telepathic call, she flew further away, heading for the city gates. If she couldn't attack anyone in Shacklestone, then she'd just attack them outside the city instead.
14 May, 2018, 6:03 pm
'Alright,' said Armin. 'Are we ALL going?' He glanced briefly at Ivy, who huffed and folded her arms.
'Of course I'm going, I want to help!' she growled.
14 May, 2018, 6:13 pm
(Random Commander: Ana noooooooooo! DX
XD)
14 May, 2018, 6:19 pm
Old Man: "Not everyone, some people need to stay here. But, a good majority need to go to help with all the things we need to do."
Sarah: "Everyone listen up! Get your shet together and mount up! We're leaving in thirty!"
14 May, 2018, 6:20 pm
(Ana: I MUST GO, I MUST IMPRESS SARGON-SENPAI)
14 May, 2018, 6:22 pm
Armin got out of his chair and went into the kitchen, where he took the remainder of the coffee Ivy had made, and then wandered back into the lobby with it. 'I'll go,' he said. 'I don't think it matters if I get recognised anymore.'
'I'm going too,' said Ivy again, finishing her drink. 'I need some kind of weapon, just in case. Does anyone have a gun or dagger they'd be willing to part with?'
14 May, 2018, 6:34 pm
{Dianne walks outside to wait while everyone else hustles to get ready. }
Jerry: "What happened to that knife I gave you?"
14 May, 2018, 6:38 pm
14 May, 2018, 6:47 pm
{Jerry lifts an eyebrow. } "And what about that pistol you were practicing with?"
{As Armin leaned against the wall, the fabricated draugr with the sword and guitar approaches him, playing a tune.} "Hey, Armin. Like my new bod? Smexy, no?"
14 May, 2018, 6:55 pm
Ivy shrugged. 'I didn't KEEP that. I was only using it to practise. But if you give me one, I can use it.'
Armin looked up as the draugr approached, and ran his eyes over him. 'Very,' he said, grinning. 'You're not planning to take that guitar into the city, are you? I don't think it'll be much help to you in there,' he added jokingly.
14 May, 2018, 7:04 pm
"Naw." {He replied.} "If I break it and stab a vampire with the neck of it, I won't have it to play anymore. Planning on doing anything special while Sargon can't touch us? Maybe some more....pranks?"
{Jerry nods.} "I'll give you one when we get to my basement. C'mon, let's see if the others are ready."
14 May, 2018, 7:09 pm
Armin tilted his head to one side, eyeing Magnus curiously. 'Hm... Have any ideas? We probably shouldn't do anything that'll provoke him TOO much...'
'Sure!' Ivy hurried outside, humming cheerfully to herself.
14 May, 2018, 7:18 pm
"Well..." {Magnus changes his voice to sound almost exactly like Ana.} "...As a draugr, I can mimic people nearly perfectly. Maybe we can use that?"
14 May, 2018, 7:55 pm
'What are you going to do?' said Armin, looking impressed by the imitation. 'You could steal Dianne's phone and call Sargon, pretending to be Ana. That might be fun.'
14 May, 2018, 8:11 pm
"Well, I could..." {Magnus says.}"...But she'd get pissed and maybe hurt us both. But, I know the number to the phone Dianne gave Sargon, so I would just need a phone in general. What should I say to him?"
14 May, 2018, 9:41 pm
Armin raised an eyebrow. 'Weeeell... We all know that Ana's in love with Sargon, but she never tells him that outright. So maybe you could have her say how much she likes him... and see how he reacts.' He smiled slightly, imagining the scene.
'Hey! Isn't anyone ready yet? I thought we were in a hurry!' exclaimed Ivy impatiently.
15 May, 2018, 2:40 am
{Ignoring Ivy, Magnus pulls a devious face.} "Hm, that's not a bad idea. I think I can pull that off. I just need to act like a desperate, rotting hooker, and be //very// descriptive with my 'desires'. Ahahahaha!"
15 May, 2018, 2:56 am
{After everyone seemed prepared, Dianne addressed everyone.} "Alright, everyone, here's how this is going to go. I'm going to fly ahead with Jerry and his team, while the rest of you follow along in your vehicles. A vanguard of centaurs will go with you. Once we make sure that this isn't a trap, we'll call you and you can all drive right in. Let's go!" {With that, Dianne transforms and waits for everyone to get on.}
15 May, 2018, 10:18 am
'A desperate, rotting hooker... Hmm... I'll be sure to call her that next time I see her.' With a laugh, Armin left Magnus and leapt onto Dianne's back. 'I'll go ahead with you. You'll want people who can actually fight, if it's a trap.'
Ivy scowled at this. 'Hmph! Well, I'll follow behind in a car,' she said reluctantly, realising that if it WAS a trap and they were attacked, she probably wouldn't be much help.
15 May, 2018, 4:59 pm
{Eliza, Jerry, the Old Man, and Magnus all joined Armin on Dianne's back. Uncle Bob gladly allowed Ivy to ride with him and Sarah. With everything ready, they set off towards the city.}
15 May, 2018, 5:05 pm
Armin eyed the city as they flew nearer. 'It looks deserted,' he said. 'Maybe Sargon really did listen to you. That's unexpected.'
Ivy sat in the back of Bob's car, looking out of the window, her dagger lying across her lap, thinking about what she would do if she encountered a lone member of Sargon's forces.
Before Dianne could reach the city, there came a sound of flapping wings from somewhere to the north. Armin glanced around. 'Hey...' he said slowly. 'Is that Ana flying around over there? I don't think she's seen us yet.'
15 May, 2018, 5:30 pm
{Dianne looks right at Ana.} "I told him to recall everyone. Hold on." {Dianne lands and shifts back. Pulling out her phone, she dials Sargon.}
15 May, 2018, 5:54 pm
Back in his tower, Sargon picked up the phone, knowing immediately who would be calling him. 'Yes?' he said.
While Dianne used the phone, Armin gazed up at the sky, keeping an eye on the circling blue dragon.
15 May, 2018, 9:04 pm
"I thought I told you to withdraw your people!" {Dianne said with a snarl.} "I'm looking right at that blue wretch you after me, patrolling the northern border! Call her back, or I'll send what's left of her to you in a teacup!"
15 May, 2018, 10:17 pm
'Ana is out there?' said Sargon, sounding a little surprised. 'I can assure you that I ordered her to withdraw. I can't imagine why she would have disobeyed me.' While he was talking, he also sent a telepathic call directly to Ana, ordering her to return.
In the sky above the city, Ana heard the message, She also spotted Dianne and the others. She hovered in the air, glaring down at them but not daring to attack, when her master had forbidden it.
15 May, 2018, 10:49 pm
"She's glaring at me now." {Dianne stated.} "But she's not retreating. Call. Her. Back."
16 May, 2018, 10:23 am
Before Sargon could say anything, Ana gave a roar of frustration and circled around before heading back towards the centre of the city. It was just possible to hear her yelling insults in the distance before she flew out of earshot.
'I believe you'll have no more trouble with her,' said Sargon calmly.
16 May, 2018, 5:43 pm
"Good. Be careful, Sargon. Next time, I might not be so forgiving." {With that, Dianne hangs up, shifts back, and waits for everyone to get on.}
16 May, 2018, 5:56 pm
Armin climbed back up and watched Ana disappearing behind the distant buildings. 'I'd watch out for her,' he said. 'The moment this truce is over, I bet she's going to be coming after us.'
16 May, 2018, 6:10 pm
"Yes." {Dianne says while taking off.} "And the moment she dares to show her face to me, I will tear her soul from her body and send her straight to hell, where she belongs."
{The flight to the city gate was a short one. Dianne circles the gate a few times looking for assailants. Seeing none, she lands, letting everyone get of before shifting.}
16 May, 2018, 6:23 pm
'Looks deserted,' said Armin, jumping down and gazing at the empty city street past the gate. 'Sounds deserted. Smells deserted, too. Well, it smells of blood, decay, and mould... Which is normal.'
Ivy, in the back of Bob's car, said impatiently, 'Are we going into the city yet?'
16 May, 2018, 6:45 pm
{Bob looks at Ivy through the rear view mirror.} "Not till we get the ok." {Just then, his phone rings.} "Hello? Yeah.......Ok, we're coming." {Hanging up, he starts the car and starts driving for the gates.} "It's all clear. Here we go."
16 May, 2018, 6:47 pm
{Dianne takes a moment to stand, feeling for the curse.} "It's worse than yesterday." {She says softly.} "The curse has spread further than last time."
16 May, 2018, 7:27 pm
'That Illusionist guy must have been spreading it last night,' Armin commented lightly. 'After we left the city and wouldn't see him.'
Ivy gave an exasperated sigh. 'Finally.' She gripped the hilt of her knife, ready for whatever they might run into in Shacklestone.
16 May, 2018, 7:45 pm
{Dianne sighs and turns to Armin.} "Probably. This likely won't end until we deal with him directly." {At that moment, all of Jerry's family's cars arrive, stopping once inside the gates, followed by Dianne's centaurs. Getting off, Bob approaches Jerry.} "So, what's the plan?"
Jerry: "Well, I'll need to go with you so we can get all my supplies from my basement. Last I checked though, Sargon had centuries posted at my office. We might have to deal with them first"
16 May, 2018, 7:49 pm
16 May, 2018, 7:55 pm
Bob: "Yeah, come with us to the basement. Help us pack it all up, we'll need it."
Jerry: "Armin has a point. We should check, just to be sure."
Dianne: "As far as the Illusionist goes, we have two options. Either we try to find him during the day, when we can see him, or we wait 'till night, and set a trap for him."
16 May, 2018, 8:24 pm
'Yes!' Ivy punched the air triumphantly. //I want to know what's in this basement... Monster-killing weapons, probably... Hmmm...//
Armin eyed Dianne. 'Well, don't ask us for ideas. The last time WE met him, I got stabbed multiple times, and Jerry and his dad hid in the city hall like scared little kids.'
16 May, 2018, 9:16 pm
"Fine." {She says.} "Not that you've been much help to begin with. But, you're coming with me to recall the curse." {With that, Dianne turns to Jerry.} "Alright, I'm taking Eliza, Armin, your dad, and Magnus with me. We'll mop up the last of the curse. Get done what you need to get done then rendezvous with me. We can recall the curse all we want, but if we don't deal with Oliver, this will never end."
16 May, 2018, 10:00 pm
Ivy slunk to Jerry's side, knife drawn, waiting for him to lead the way. It was rare for Ivy to show real loyalty to anyone, but she certainly seemed to have developed a strong respect for Jerry and his family in the short time she'd known them.
Armin nodded and went with Dianne, glancing at Magnus as he moved. 'Nice that we're on the same team,' he said. 'Maybe we'll run into some rogue evil guys and I can see if you really are any good at fighting.'
17 May, 2018, 4:16 am
{Dianne starts walking, expecting her team to follow. Magnus turns to Armin as he goes along.} "Well, if we come across that short Crowdragon guy, I could show you how to perform a 'Glory Kill."
{Jerry and his family start to walk towards his office with a few of them staying behind to bring the vehicles once they hear the all clear.}
17 May, 2018, 9:56 am
'Well, don't kill him unless he's trying to kill us first,' said Armin lightly. 'It might give people the wrong impression.'
'So, what exactly do you need to get out of this basement thing?' Ivy questioned as they walked along. 'Some really powerful weapons or something?'
17 May, 2018, 2:13 pm
"C'mon..." {Magnus chuckles.} "This is the Crowdragon guy we're talking about. If he doesn't attack first, I'd suspect he's fallen ill or something. "
"Well, it's an armory." {Jerry explains.} "It's filled with weapons. Once this truce is over, Sargon's probably going to be really mad, so we're going to need lots of weapons."
17 May, 2018, 2:27 pm
'Hm, that might be true. He does seem the type to attack anything that moves just because he can.' Armin shrugged and glanced in Dianne's direction. 'Where are we going exactly? Where's the rest of the curse?'
'Hmmm...' said Ivy thoughtfully. 'I don't suppose you have anything in there that we could kill the Illusionist with, do you?'
17 May, 2018, 2:27 pm
(That moment when both of your characters start a sentence with the same thing)
17 May, 2018, 3:52 pm
{Dianne didn't even turn when she spoke.} "East part of the city. Not far now." { Magnus takes this time to make a mockery of Crowley. } "I know right? He's all like, 'I do what I want, when I want! I don't care about the consequences, I just want to make an ass of myself by picking fights with gods and monsters far beyond my league!' {Every word Magnus said was in Crowley's voice.}
17 May, 2018, 3:57 pm
{Jerry gives that question some thought. } "Maybe. However, weapons are only good when you can hit people with them, and Oliver can move so fast that achieving that might be hard. However, he's only human, so I think we'll only have to hit him once."
17 May, 2018, 4:42 pm
'Maybe he has some sort of god complex,' said Armin. 'He thinks he can beat anyone. Shame he hasn't noticed how much he's been losing fights recently.'
Ivy was quiet for a minute or two while she thought about this. 'He uses magic to make himself faster than us, doesn't he? Like an enchanted cloak or something? Maybe WE could find some magic to use against HIM. Maybe there's a spell that could reverse his speed thing.'
17 May, 2018, 4:53 pm
{Magnus nods.} "Maybe. I'm pretty sure he's not mentally stable though. That one time he fought Dianne, he tripped her with his tail, laughed, and then started to walk away. He went from trying to kill her, to playing a prank of sorts. Yeah, he's kinda weird." {Dianne stops, signaling her group to stop.} "We're here."
{Before them lay the orphanage, abandoned and reeking of death.}
17 May, 2018, 4:56 pm
"Well, Ivy, I wouldn't be the one to ask for that." {Jerry replied.} "Dianne might know though." {As he spoke, his group was approaching his office.} "Eyes up. See any guards?"
17 May, 2018, 5:03 pm
Armin started to answer - probably with another insult about Crowley - but stopped when he saw where they'd come to. 'This place?' he said. 'Has anyone even been here recently?'
Ivy stared at the building. 'I can't see anyone...' she said. Then she wrinkled her nose in apparent disgust. 'It stinks of werewolf, though! Whoever was guarding here must have only just left.'
17 May, 2018, 5:20 pm
"Wait here. I think there's a lot of them in there." {Dianne says as she enters the building. Once she kicks down the door, the sound of flies is clearly heard.}
Magnus: "Does that answer your question, Armin? Seems like it was in heavy use up until last night."
17 May, 2018, 5:25 pm
Armin backed away a step as the rotting smell from inside the building reached his nose. 'Urgh. That place reeks of death and infection. Why are there so many cursed people in there?'
17 May, 2018, 5:26 pm
Jerry: "Wait here." {Jerry, Bob, and Sarah walks up to the front door and opens it, weapons drawn. Taking a look inside, Jerry speaks.} "Hello?"
17 May, 2018, 5:30 pm
Ivy scowled at being told to wait, but obeyed without complaining. The office beyond the door was silent; there didn't appear to be anyone inside.
17 May, 2018, 5:34 pm
Magnus: "It's likely a quarantine zone. An infection probably broke out here and Sargon's people locked them in and left them for dead."
{Eliza, who had been very quiet, got a bit closer to Armin and Magnus the moment the door was opened.}
Eliza: "Ewwwwww..."
17 May, 2018, 5:46 pm
'That makes sense...' Armin glanced down at Eliza as she spoke, a little surprised to see her there; she'd been so quiet that he'd forgotten she was on their team. ''Ewwww' sounds about right. Why do I have this feeling that it's going to be even worse than yesterday...?'
17 May, 2018, 5:51 pm
"Maybe that's why?" {Magnus points at the building. From the doorway come an infected werewolf, losing hair from the curse and shambling towards them.} "Help me...!"
17 May, 2018, 5:54 pm
Armin drew his sword, though he wasn't going to kill the werewolf unless he knew it was too far gone to save it. 'Hey! Dianne! Where'd you go? There's one out here right now.'
17 May, 2018, 6:01 pm
{Dianne appeared as quickly as she left.} "I got it. Come here you mangy bastard." {Dianne grabbed a hold of him and recalled the curse, causing him to pass out.} "There. By the way, it looks like the quarantine room in Atlas tower in there, but on every floor, so don't....Wait, where's the short one?" {It seemed that Eliza had bolted the moment the wolf came into view.}
17 May, 2018, 8:05 pm
'Looks like she ran for it,' observed Armin. 'Not that I'd blame her.' He backtracked a few paces back the way they had come, looking around for her. 'Eliiiizaaa? The zombie's gone, you can come out now.'
18 May, 2018, 7:27 am
Old Man: "Eliza, we don't have time for this."
{Just then, Eliza screamed from a few streets away.}
"Eliza!?"
Dianne: "Magnus! Go!"
{Without hesitation, Magnus jumped clear over Armin and the Old man and took off in the direction of the scream.}
18 May, 2018, 7:34 am
{After making sure that the building is clear, Jerry motions for Ivy to come inside.} "All clear."
18 May, 2018, 9:38 am
Armin wasted no time in running after Magnus, easily able to keep pace with the draugr, while scanning the area for anything that might have caused Eliza's scream.
18 May, 2018, 9:39 am
Ivy came forwards cautiously, poking her head around the door to have a look before she slipped inside. 'This office is boring,' she said as she gazed around. 'But then, ALL offices are boring.'

{As Magnus was running, he caught a glimpse of Eliza running in the opposite direction on a parallel street.} "There you are." {Quickly, he wall-jumps between buildings, lands on the roof of one, and runs after her from the roof.}

{When Eliza hears Armin, she stops and points in the opposite direction.} "They're coming!" {From around that corner comes shambling some infected. However, something is different about these. They're oozing the curse, trailing it everywhere, and their eyes are so full of the stuff that it seems a wonder they can see at all.}
