Xavier, prime minister of the desert country, Zabar, and his young wife, Aaminah.
Xavier was once a good man, who prided himself on his work to turn Zabar into a beautiful, thriving oasis. But he became obsessed with keeping it that way, and imprisoned Hesper in the underground catacombs of the palace/temple, in order to harness her power. Aaminah, a kind hearted woman, helped her escape with Cadeo when they were children.
