It was a summer evening, the sun still shining golden streaks throw the trees beyond the farm. Brandywine had just finished his shift, a days work done he rested grazing in the paddock.

Not far off Aki pushed her way through towards the edge of the wood, she peared onto the farm, quite hungry and tired of searching.

(Sneak emoti! *0*

A little ways away from Aki, Talon came bursting from the edge of the forest in a cloud of flapping birds which he had been chasing. As he entered the open field, the birds flew off and the canine stopped, panting up at the sky. //That was fun! I hope I didn't scare away -all- the forest life though... Ha, I'd feel guilty about that.// Talon shrugged it off, then glanced around the field. //Hey, is that a horse over there?//

(Oh yeah the second interaction lol)

Morning light shone over a small town in a hopeful display, accompanied by the chirping of birds as they fluttered from rooftop to rooftop. Two males walked beside each other down a cobblestone street, idly watching the street activity.
Hunter breathed in and smiled. "Feels like a good day... We should find something to do."
"I thought we were here to buy food, not get in trouble," his brother Hawk remarked.
Hunter puffed. "You never like to have fun. C'mon, how could it possibly hurt to run around a bit?"

Brandy raised his head at the burst of birds out of the woods, he snorted. //Somethin pesky should up, probably another stupid fox. Where's that good for nothing dog?// Brandywine quite annoyed, stalk forward to see the commotion.

Aki yelped as Talon ran into to field. //What's he thinking? Making all that noise, we could get shot!.//
"Hey you! Quite it with all that racket." She called at the new canine as quietly as she could.

Talon's attention jumped to Aki when she called out to him. Ears flicking forward in curiosity, the mutt padded her direction. "Hello there! Is this your field?" he asked, not paying much regard to her warning. He hadn't seen Brandywine approaching yet.

"You don't understand I need this job!" Harper pleaded to a store clerk. "I'm sorry young lady but we don't need anyone at the moment, the position just filled yesterday." "But-"
"Now if you came in a few days ago you might of gotten it, sorry." He shrugged, with nothing else to say Harper turned out of the store, frustrated she had an already bad start to the morning.

"No but, the show you made has grab the attention of the animals that live here." She panicked as the large Clydesdale was already behind him, and not happy at the slightest. "Get lost mutt!" Sneered brandy stamping his feet ready to throw a kick. "Look out!" She barked rushing foreward.

Hawk and Hunter both stopped when they picked up a commotion just up ahead. They watched as a shop door opened and Harper stalked out, clearly upset about something. Hunter gave a disinterested shrug and made a move to continue, but Hawk cautiously approached the girl. "Hey, is everything alright?" he asked tentatively.

Talon jumped in surprise when he felt the quickly approaching thud of heavy hooves and then the deep voice shouted above him. He spun around to take in the large clydesdale, then wheeled about and darted to the right. "Run!" he yipped urgently, though not without a hint of excitement.

"I'm fine" Harper said alarmed, she backed away at the two young men. "Just going about my business, you should to..." She avoid eye contact at the last part and started out for the streets.

Aki scrambled to stop her pace, whipping her head wildy towards the direction Talon ran. "Oh you've done it"
"Get your mangey tails back here! I'll bet you two were somewhere in the chicken pen, ya guilty mutts."Whith a deep growl the Stallion pursued them towards the edge, full gallop.

Hawk frowned in concern as Harper turned away. "Wait!" he called out as he picked up his pace to follow. He came up beside her and said, "Are you sure? You seem like you need help."
Hunter rolled his eyes as he followed behind them. //Good riddance... Is this your version of having fun? Helping random people on the street?//

Harper turned her face rather unamused. "Oh I'm sure, you boys look like you could be doing other things anyways. I have several things to do, I'm pretty sure a random person like you isn't interested in giving me a job that I can liveon" Her toned turned a little more harsh, that time. //What's with these guys, probably just some freeloaders, or worse thugs//

Rather than smartly retreating into the woods, Talon bolted across the field, vanishing in and out of the tall yellow-green grass. He peeked over his shoulder once to see how closely the horse was pursuing him. "I didn't taste your chickens, I swear!" he yelped.

Hawk hesitated at Harper's harsh tone, but her mention of a job made him grow persistent. "You need a job? That's serious. We could probably help you with that," he offered.
Hunter grabbed his brother's shoulder. "Hold on now - the girl doesn't want you help, so leave her alone. You aren't gonna get anything out of her."
His twin shrugged his hand off. "I don't expect anything in return. I just feel obliged to help," he explained with a frown.

"And how are you going to do that?" She questioned folding her arms. "What do you have to offer anyway?" Harper said now tapping her feet impatiently.

"OH that's what they all say, no good tooth knashing fools. Ironic that I have to do the dogs work!" Brandy kept going straightforward though Talons zigg zagging threw him off a bit.
"What are you doing?!" Aki shouted in bewilderment, "Just jump behind the fence!"

At that, Hawk had to think a bit. He scratched his neck awkwardly. "Well... Hunter works at a restaurant, so he could refer you to his boss... And I work at a manufacturer. I'm sure you could get hired at either one," he suggested. "What are you good at doing?"

Talon's head swiveled in Aki's direction when she barked and he skidded to an abrupt halt. "Huh--What?" He suddenly realized that the clydesdale was probably going to run him over since he stopped. With a panicked yip, he pivoted and raced for the fence. "Why can't you just make him stop??" he called out to Aki.

(Heeey Spec!!)

"Really?" She said somewhat not convinced, "I find that hard to believe, you seem more like ruthless adventures"
"I'm looking for entry level jobs, since writing and oratory don't take you far."

"Are you crazy? I don't even know this hor-" "Shut it mutts!" Brandy cut in, he lifted his front leggs about ready to kick. Aki panicked, not knowing what else to do, she ran at the horse from behind, latching on with her teeth. Brandy screaming and bucked wildy.

(Oi spec you're fine, you can join us if you want :P

Hunter interjected as he jabbed a thumb into Hawk's back. "This kid? Nah, he's the wimpiest human you'll meet. He's nowhere near ruthless - especially with this little flesh on his bones," he chided.
Hawk flinched and scowled at him. "Come on, Hunter... I'm not all skin and bone. At least I care about others." He returned his gaze to Harper. "Writing? I'm sure you could get pretty far if you wrote for the newspaper."

Brandy's scream made Talon jump a few feet in the air before he hit the ground and rushed even faster through the field. The canine finally reached the fence and hurdled between the top and bottom plank, then skidded to a halt and turned back. "Come on!"

"Well the last press didn't want me, and the next one is ways away, but I've been all over this town and I'll be one my way soon." At this point she was ready to end the converse. "Well I appreciate the uh help, though I should be going."

Released her grip though in the process was kicked, her back hit the fence and she yelped. Limping to the other side.
"And stay out!" Yelled the stallion

Wordless, Hawk watched her worriedly as she attempted to end the conversation. "Well - at least tell us your name," he said.
Hunter snorted and raised a brow at his twin.

Talon gasped when Aki was kicked by the stallion, though he paused first to bark at Brandywine. "Ha! Can't get to me now, you old cow!"

"It's harper, stranger" She said rather quietly. "Good luck with your uh restaurant."

Aki was speechless when talon shouted. "Really?"

Brandy's eyes flared and he backed up ready to jump.

Hawk nodded hesitantly. "Harper... I'm Hawk, and my brother is Hunter." When she told them good luck, he blushed slightly. "Oh... Thanks."
But as his persistent worries wouldn't cease, he quickly asked, "Will you be alright without a job? If you're hungry, we're on our way to the market. I can buy you something."
Hunter seemed distracted, looking through a shop window at the items displayed inside.

Immediately realizing his mistake, Talon barked in alarm and darted toward Aki. He nudged her side urgently. "C'mon, c'mon let's go..."

"Well nice to meet you and I'm sure I'll be fine." Harper smiled. She looked over his shoulder. "You're brother seems quite the opposite." She mused.

Aki didn't even have time to scold Talon, for Brandy had cleared the fence turning his angry eyes towards the two. She had to pushe throw the pain, as fast as she bolted, adrenaline pumping through her veins.

Hawk hesitated as if to protest, but he finally gave in and dipped his head. "Alright." He glanced over at Hunter when she mentioned him. "Sorry for his short attitude... He hates it when I do things like this."

Talon darted after Aki, not sparing a glance back since he could already hear the crashing of the horse's hooves in the undergrowth. "Into the forest, into the forest!" he barked after her. "We'll lose him there!"

(Ahhh, makes sense. I see why you'd wait then. Wise choice!)

"No need to apologize, I must be keeping you guys anywag. You probably have things to do too." She laughed a bit.

"I know, I know! We're almost there!" She shouted not daring to look back, her voice filled with panicked as the sound of storming hooves neared.

Hawk shrugged and rubbed his neck with a partial smile. "Nah, not really... We're not up to much," he told her, hoping he'd somehow convince her to stick around.
Hunter looked back at them from where he stood, wondering why the girl hadn't left yet. //Hawk's really bugging her, isn't he? Good riddance...//

Talon quickly outran Aki since he was in a better condition for running, so he entered first into the forest. He slowed just a bit to look back, hoping Aki would make it as well.

"Oh, what do you guys do anyway? I mean other than the restaurant and factory thing." Harper's expression and tone changed now seeming a bit curious.

Brandy had almost caught up to Aki, he slowed a bit stamping his hooves. Ake barked desperately, Talon was already ways ahead, she was almost there though making a desperate jump into the shrubs, collapsing towards the ground.

Hawk blinked. "What do we 'do?' Uhh... Well, I like crafting things out of metal and scraps and stuff. Hunter likes being active and well... Looking for trouble." He scratched his neck awkwardly, then quickly fumbled in his pocket and pulled out what looked to be a cricket crafted from a metal fork and a glass stone, the fork ent in such a way that it wrapped around the glass like the body while the prongs of the fork made up the legs. "This is what I mean," he told her as he displayed the ornament in his palm for her to see.

Talon kept running, but when he heard the hoofbeats growing distant, he slowed down and looked back. "Oh no..." Urgency in his features, the canine pivoted and rushed the way he came. He looked for a sign of the dog or for the stallion. //Did he get to her? I hope not!//

Brandy slowed down when Aki jumpes into the brush, he snorted. Stalking around he listened for any signs of movement. Aki heart beated fast as she lay in the bushes, holding her breathe hoping the stallion wouldn't find her.

Hawk shrugged, pleased she was impressed. "Yeah, I do. Though not very often, since people don't seem to care to buy my things." He returned the trinket to his pocket. He glanced back at Hunter again, who had wandered farther down the street. "Yeah, he is... He will listen to me most of the time... But he can't help but get in trouble at every turn."

Talon emerged into the area where Brandy and Aki were. Immediately recognizing the situation, he barked out, "Hey, old hog! You out of breath yet?" he taunted.
