The sun shone bright above the canopy, it's rays pouring into the forest below. Vaigh's visions had grown stronger and increasing in frequency. This was the land that was revealed to him. It was known as Zoil. Being here brought an undeniable feeling within him to the surface. Though the reason why was unknown, it held some strong connection to him. He walked in solitude, lost in his thoughts, and feelings as he made his way towards what appeared to be a civilization up ahead.
Valkarie was making her rounds through the town saying hello to people who passed her. Though looking intimidating she was quite the opposite. She didn't know why she was in town quite honestly she came on a whim and was just curious to see what she could do. Her sword in it's hilt swayed and with a pep in her step she continued forward looking around for something that might catch her interest.
Vaigh had finally reached the town. He walked purposefully towards an unknown objective. Searching for something, anything that was familiar to him. Other than the initial feeling he had when he arrived nothing had stood out to him in particular. Nothing changed. He walked, moving through the town subconsciously absentmindedly.
Valkarie walked passed Vaigh not really recognizing him. It had been quite some time since they last saw each other of course. But something got the best of her and she turned around and before he could walk away she called out to him. "Excuse me. Sir?" She wasn't sure why she called out to him she just did on a gut feeling.
Vaigh stopped upon hearing the voice that roused him from his thoughts. For a moment he was unable to discern his visions from his current reality. He turned around to see if he had truly heard what he thought. In that moment time appeared to stop for him as his eyes met her gaze. It was without a doubt the very same woman from his visions. She appeared slightly different, but there was no denying that was her. Every detail was consistent with how it had been within his mind. Her voice clear. He stood speechless, his face a mix of emotions.
Valkarie stared at him before quirking a brow. Him just staring at her made her feel a bit uneasy and she wasn't even sure if he heard her "Ah... Excuse me?" Now that she got a good look at his face she know she's seen him before but couldn't quite place her finger on it. "Please don't take this out of rudeness but have we.. met before? You look.. oddly familiar.. " her ear twitched slightly as she thought about it more.
He stood attempting to connect his thoughts. He tried to respond but found his words escaping him. She was real, of that much he could be certain. But he just couldn't understand why he had been shown the things that he had. The both of them, but younger. He tried to calm his racing mind, choosing his words carefully so as not to scare her. It wasn't lost on him how the truth may sound. "My apologies for staring but, I too find myself asking that very same question." He brushed one of his loose locks back behind his ear as he contemplated his feelings.
Valkarie stood there in silence as she tried to figure out where she's seen him before but it just wasn't clicking. "I'm sure we have met.. but I just place where I've seen you before.. ahh well none the matter.. You don't look like you're from around here from the warmer looking clothes you wear so I humbly welcome you to Zoil. She put her hand on the hilt of her sword and a fist to her chest before bowing to him.
He couldn't help but gaze up at the woman before him. There was something familiar and comforting about her that he couldn't place. Vaigh returned the gesture, appreciative of her cordial and regal mannerism. "Thank you. Yes as a matter of fact, I travelled here from Kehenil. This may sound strange but I was here in search of something that I had lost. Forgive my rudeness. My name is Desai. Vaigh Desai."
Upon hearing him say his name, Valkarie got a hit of nostalgia as if she heard his name before. "That sound too familiar now I am sure that we have met before.. oh where are my manners I am Valkarie Ire. Since you are new here please allow me to show you around" she smiled softly.
"I'm certain you're right." A sharp pain wracked his brain briefly upon hearing her name. He tried his best not to show it. "Thank you, I'd like that." He took off his coat and draped it over his shoulders, before tying all his locks back in a loose coil-like bun. He couldn't help but steal glances at her as they walked together. It was apparent that they shared some connection, but what exactly it was, was unclear. He didn't know what to expect as this entire experience had been perplexing to him. Despite these thoughts he was comfortable and content right now. Walking beside her felt natural to him.
"So currently we are in the traders part of the country. What I mean by that is this entre town is a trading palace of sorts where people from all over come to visit. Most of if not all our building are integrated into the trucks and branches of this forest so it can be quite hard to manuver if youre not native here." Valkarie continued to speak about the town showing off many of the places she thought was interesting and what could perhaps interest Vaigh. "Lastly here's the Inn if you wish to stay for more than just today.. I believe that just about covers it."
Vaigh was in awe at the beautiful balance that had been achieved here between nature and technology. The citizens were living within the land rather than on top of it. He always appreciated nature in it's natural state, undisturbed by others. "I certainly will. I've arranged to stay in town for the next month. Thank you for taking the time to show me around town. Your kindness is very much appreciated."
"I try to be welcoming to all visitors I meet it's what is expected of a leader of course. And that's quite the arrangement staying for an entire month. May I ask why is it you decided to visit Zoil? Us meeting couldn't be mere coincidence since I know for sure we've met before.." Valkarie pursed her lips as she tried harder to figure out where she knows him from.
Vaigh's face flushed as he learned this. "Forgive me, I was unaware. I'm all the more appreciative of your kindness. Indeed. In all honesty, I lost my memories of nearly every detail of my life prior to three years ago, aside from my name and a few other details. I've been having visions these past three years...their clarity and coherence alternates. However they appeared to show a younger version of myself and a woman. It appears you and she are one and the same. That is my true purpose for coming here. I came unbeknownst to me, in search of you and my lost memories."
Valkarie nodded as she listened closely "I see it seems we have history then. " She smiled lightly "No need to ask for forgiveness you haven't done anything wrong" she laughed slightly. "Well I'm quite flattered you came all the way from Kehenil to find me. I do not deny that we may have a past together I find this to be quite interesting so let us see if we can unlock your memories. But first why not get some food. You must be hungry after all."
Vaigh's face grew warm in spite of himself. "Thank you. That sounds nice. If you have somewhere that I could cook, I'd be more than happy to prepare a meal for us. We could discuss things further over lunch." He smiled at her warmly.
re: glad you like her. ^^ i actually have a few questions about two classes that i've been thinking of putting her as. some clarifications on shapeshifter and beastmaster (i think that's what it's called).
re: well the first question is for shape shifter. does the character change size when shape shifting? example: my bee chara shifting to the typical size of a bee. which is smaller than her normal humanoid form.
the second question is for beast master. can you have a swarm of bees?
re: gotcha. thanks for answering my questions. it'll make deciding what class to make her a lot easier. :D and i know what's aloud with the classes now. before i wasn't sure and i didn't want to assume anything without knowing if something was ok or not. anyway thanks again! ^o^
