It was a hot day, like every day, in the desert. Camila Bell Weather pranced along the streets of a desert oasis city, enjoying the noise of the city folk. Round, colorful roof domes glistened overhead in the sunlight, and a cool blue channel of water ran through the city, flanked by the road and occasionally crossed with arching bridges. Bell hummed happily as she bounced along.

Out in the baking sands, Kaito flew from dune to dune on dark, rigid wings. In his dragon form, he had deep brown scales, curved black horns, and glowing spots along his flanks. He landed on the top of one dune, sending up a cloud of sand, and stopped to scan the desert. "It's barren out here," he remarked.

Rakkaus walked through the blistering heat of the desert, it didn't help he had black plating and scales, which soaked up the sun and made him feel like he was boiling from the inside out.

Sophie waddled underneath the larger, more elderly, dragon. To keep out of the harsh sun, but the sand still burned her feet as she waddled along, the little wyvern had her arms raised up.

"Rah it so hot!" The little wyvern whines, "You're telling me" the black dragon rasps.

(Btw Kaito is on my chibi post on this account)

Kareef was walking calmly along the desert road, looking around with bright eyes at the buildings and watching people pass by. His younger brother, Karif, walked beside him, head low and serious gaze fixed to the ground. The leopard brothers were near opposites, one with a brown tail waving and an orange one dragging in the sand. Kareef noticed an odd girl prancing along the streets and eagerly walked up to her. His brother scoffed quietly under his breath as the brown feline meowed a cheerful greeting.

Ahh alrighty Spec! That's fine!

Oof, I gotta go, I'm getting distracted. Maybe next time! ^^'

(So it looks like the order is me, Blood, Ems, DG. Since there's two interactions, we could probably change that up later.)

Kaito's yellow eyes soon caught sight of a distant, dark form trudging through the sand. Relieved at the sight of another dragon and hoping to find traces of population, the dragon spread his wings and glided toward Ra and Sophie. "Greetings!" he called from a distance, taking his time in case the dragon was a threat. He hadn't noticed Sophie yet.

Bell stopped humming and blinked down at surprise when she caught notice of the large cat which had approached her. "Oh - hello there!" she exclaimed amicably as she squatted in front Kareef. "Are you hot out here, with all that fur?" Bell spotted Karif behind his brother so she smiled and waved.

Rakkaus paused when he heard the other dragon, he turned his sightless, pale green gaze to Kaito. "Greetings" he rasps, his ears twitching.

Sophie waddled out from under him, "Who says greetings as a greeting? I say Hi! Hello!" she grins, waddling towards Kaito, "My name is Sophie, what is yours?" the tiny 2 foot tall dragon raises up her horns, her eyes bright with interest.

(remember kids, only in french class can you say your brother is annoying)

Kareef shook his head, smiling. "I'm used to the weather!" He replied in a cheerful tone, blue eyes shining. Karif simply looked up at Bell with a blank expression. "Don't mind him, he's pretty grumpy," the older feline said, noticing her wave. Karif rolled his eyes very slightly and pretended to be interested in something else.

Kaito's eyes widened in wonder when he spotted the little dragon emerge from beneath Rakkaus. //She blended in with the sand perfectly!// The wyvern landed nearby and rested his weight on his wings before tipping his head at the duo. "Hi there," he said in a friendly tone to Sophie. He dipped his head to Rakkaus. "I am Kaito. Are you... Are you two out here alone?" he queried.

Bells' eyes widened on Kareef. "Woah... You guys can talk! Usually I'd have to shift to a cat to talk to you, but you guys don't need me to do that! That's cool!" she said wondrously. She then tilted her head to peek past at Karif, a curious look in her amber eyes. "Heyyyy kitty... You don't need it by shy. I'm really friendly and good with animals, trust me."

(Hhhhh it's been so long since I've roleplayed)

(i haven't roleplayed or wrote something in a while, unless you count "Il ne fait pas la fête" because cmon, my brother doesn't party)

Kareef nodded with a rather prideful look. "I'm surprised it actually worked, honestly! I guess things work differently around here than they do back at home." He tilted his head and his eyes glazed slightly in thought.
The orange leopard slowly looked up at Bell, light blue eyes narrowed. "I don't like to talk if I don't need to." He spoke confidently despite his wary stance, flicking his tail.
"See? A big ol' grump," his brother chimed in.

"We are" Sophie raises up and spreads out her wings, losing her balance quickly and falling onto her back.

"Not by choice" Rakkaus grumbles, "Someone thought this was a short cut, a three day long short cut so far" he flicks his tail in annoyance.

(i don't know why, but it seems my rp characters always have to be some kind of dynamic duo pfft
first you had "what the heck even" sterven and the ever-stupid rib, now you get an overly happy and overly grumpy pair of brothers)

Bell grinned at Kareef. "Things sure are different here, huh? I can't even seem to find my way out of here," she said carelessly with a giggle. After Karif spoke, a goofy smirk appeared on Bell's face and she reached out to pet his forehead. "Now, now... Maybe some food will help."

Karif tensed as her hand drew near but simply nodded.
"Yeah! I don't even remember how I got here, but the stars are different so I'm definitely not where I was." His eyes widened at the mention of food and his tail wagged like a dog. "You have food? Maybe that'll help ya, Kar!" The brown feline nudged his brother with a paw. "Oh! By the way, my name's Kareef and this is my brother Karif! Don't worry if you get our names mixed up." Kareef's ears twitched as a slight breeze ruffled his fur.

Kaito blinked in surprise, then laughed a bit at Sophie, finding her adorably amusing. He glanced back to Rakkaus, almost unnerved by the larger dragon. "Oh, is that so... Well, I've been flying since early this morning--" he gestured with his snout in the direction he had come-- "and my trip is supposed to last till sundown, so you shouldn't be far." He glanced up at the sun. "What is it... Afternoon? If we're headed in the right direction, you should find the city by night. I can direct you, if you need," he offered with a faint smile.

Bell successfully gave Karif a few obnoxious but well-meaning pats on the head before retreating her hand to her lap. "Nice to meet you, Kareef and Caress! I actually don't have food, but we can find some. It'll be an adventure!" she exclaimed. The Master Shifter rose to her feet and placed her hands on her hips as she scanned the street. "Hmm... You smell any food, Kareef or Caress?"

Rakkaus flicked an ear when Kaito paused, figuring he was making a gesture. "I gussed it was around that time, definitely not night or I wouldn't be boiling" he shakes himself, his plating on his back clinking together like armor.

Sophie giggled up at Kaito, "Kaito, Rakkaus is blind, he can't see your nods or smiles" she grins, "I act as his eyes" she wiggles herself back onto her hind legs and stands up.

"Both of my 'eyes" Rakkaus refers to Sophie and himself, "Don't work I'd say 95% of the time" he snorts.

"It's Karif," the orange leopard whispered under his breath, but his remark was covered up by his brother.
"An adventure? C'mon Kar, let's have some fun!" He headbutted the feline in the shoulder to get him to stand up. (what is it with my characters headbutting shoulders? i'm getting serious deja vu) He raised his head to the warm air and looked around as he tried to find somewhere. "This way!" He yowled suddenly, bounding off towards a small stand, a cloth banner partially covered in blown sand providing a bit of shade.

Kaito blinked at Rakkaus in slight confusion by his unusual words, wondering if it was a unique dialect, until Sophie explained. The blood rushed from his mouth and his jaw dropped. "Oh-- Oh! I'm sorry, I-I should'nt have made assumptions-- Sorry!" he stammered as he flailed his wings a little bit.
He calmed himself down considerably by the time Rakkaus spoke again. He gave a slight chuckle as he looked between the two. "Ah, I see..." //Wait, would it make sense if he said, 'I see?' Does it anger him when people say it?// the wyvern wondered rather immaturely.
Kaito swallowed back his flusteredness and cleared his throat. "So... You are Rakkaus and Sophie?"

(*face, not mouth)

Bell's face lit up in eagerness and she sprinted after Kareef, nearly tripping over Karif as she did. "Woah-- sorry Caress!" she yelped before catching up with the brown cat and stopping in the shade of the banner. She surveyed the food stand before them, mouth watering. "Mmm, that smells good," she purred hungrily. "What do you want to eat?"

"It's alright, I'm not bothered. There aren't many dragons that are fully blind like me" Rakkaus sits down, "I am Rakkaus and the little wyvern is my adopted daughter Sophie, who is also a poor excuse for a guide"

"He's a bitter old fart because I think it's funny to make him walk into things" Sophie grins widely.

Rakkaus growls at Sophie, "If you could lead us to the city, it would be much appreciated Kaito" he says more calmly.

(It would be alarming if blood rushed from his mouth xD)

Kareef sniffed at the contents of the table, spotting some kind of exotic fruit. Karif slowly padded over to the table and spied another, quietly alerting his brother. The two fussed over which fruit they should try, ignoring the bit of meat on the other part of the table.
"You can take anything you'd like, really," the vendor said, turning around from the conversation she was in. Her brown hair went down to her shoulders and her gray eyes were bright. "We actually have quite a bit extra."

(oh yeah also the kars are weird with food)

Kaito looked between the two as they tossed insults, releasing another small chuckle. "Pleased to meet you two. By all means, I can lead you there," he said reassuringly. "I will be gliding on the wind most of the time, but you'll still hear the breeze on my wings and plates. That should tell you where I am." //A fact for him, assuming he's serious about Sophie being a bad guide...//
The wyvern promptly turned and beat his wings to gain some air, then caught a draft and floated above them. "Let's see... We go this way." Kaito began in the direction he had been traveling, peeking back once and a while to see how quickly or slowly the duo would follow.

The Master Shifter puckered her lips and tapped her chin as she looked back and forth over the items on the table, clearly indecisive. "Hmmmmm.... I want the meat!" she determined as she reached out and grabbed what was available. She then watched the brothers, not really even considering that they were cats who wanted to eat fruit.

(It ate my comment....)

The brothers took their shares, both of their tails waving calmly as they looked up at the vendor and nodded as she waved and turned back around. Kareef glanced up at Bell cheerfully. "Where to next?" He asked, voice muffled.

Rakkaus listened to the other dragon as he spoke, Sophie watched in awe as Kaito took to the sky, "How did you get uppity so fast!?" she gawks, "I wanna do it too!" she beats her smaller wings to no avail.

"Enough of that" Rakkaus picks her up and puts her on his back, he strains his hearing to follow Kaito. "Yowtch!" Sophie whines, "Rah, your plating is as hot as fire!" she stamps her little paws on his back, trying to relieve the burning.

Rakkaus ignored her, following Kaito at a quicker pace than when he had Sophie waddling under him.

Bell followed the cat brothers as she stuffed the food in her mouth, happy to finally put something in her belly. "Mm? Mmmm," she said with a shrug. She wiped her mouth before saying more coherently, "We should explore! This place is so big!" she suggested. Already she was eying the walls of the buildings and wondering how they could climb them.

Kaito smiled down at Sophie but kept his remarks to himself. He faced his head forward and scanned the sand dunes for a sign of buildings. So far, he was only seeing rocks and cacti. "So... What brings you two out here?" he called down to them. "Do you have business in the city?"

(Everything likes to act up in the worst times especially in splatoom when you're doing well in a match lol

The duo quickly ate their food, Karif surveying the bustling city with narrowed eyes and his tail wrapped tightly around his paws. Kareef whispered something to him, his expression somewhat concerned before he turned back. Once they had finished, the older feline jumped straight to his paws. "Yeah! We gotta continue this adventure somehow! Where do you think we should go?" He asked in an ever excited tone, following her gaze to the walls. "You wanna do some climbing? Me n' Kar have gotten plenty of practice back home. We could run for days." He paced in place as if he were already back out in the open.

Rakkaus tilts his head, "We're healers, or more, I am. The rest of my life is dedicated to helping those who are injured or abandoned" he answers, "We're seeking out new medicine and some supplies we can only get in the desert. How about you?"

(might have to disappear for a quick second, this download is almost finally complete. i have to get word and powerpoint on my laptop for english but my wifi is so slowww)

Bell turned to them with glistening eyes. "Yes!!" she said readily. The girl stuffed the rest of her food into her mouth, then ran toward a wall and leaped. Suddenly, a light flashed and she shifted into a gold and brown cougar, a blue stripe running from her back to her tailtip. She hit the wall and hooked her claws between the cracks in the sandstone, then lunged sideways and grasped onto a wooden beam. After she scrambled on top, she yowled, "C'mon!"

(I think it's a combination of the servers being a bit overwhelmed and pur router. :P

"Healing? Interesting. You can't heal your own sight though?" he murmured without much thought. He quickly regretted it and tried to cover it up by hurriedly replying. "Ah-- I see, you're collecting supplies. I am... a traveler, you might say. I do a little bit of bartering here and there to keep
me and Yucca alive."

(No problem Ems!)

"I can not heal permanent injuries, I can't restore my sight and I can't grow Sophie's tail back" Rakkaus answers, seeming unphased by it. "Yucca? Those plants, last time I checked, aren't going extinct. Maybe I'm wrong though" he tilts his head the other way now, puzzled

Kaito gave a silent sigh of relief when Rakkaus didn't blow up and eat him for his prodding question. He felt his face heat up at the Xanos's remark and a he flapped a little bit. "Oh, no no-- Yucca's my friend. Not a plant. A fairy," he corrected.

"Oh a fairy, how interesting" Rakkaus says, "It's been years since I last seen one of those"

"They avoid you, because you eat them" Sophie points out, Rakkaus flicks her snout with his tail, "Hush" he growls. "Well it's true!" she whines

"Yeah, she's sleeping under one of my plates right now, since the sun hurts her wings. I can wake her if--" He abruptly cut himself off when Sophie mentioned Rakkaus eating fairies. "Woah, woah-- We gotta make one thing clear if we're gonna be traveling partners, and that is you do not eat fairies. Yucca in particular," Kaito asserted with a frown down at them.

Kareef watched as Bell hurried forward, gasping as she shifted into a cougar. Karif flinched at the flash of light and turned around to look, but by then the shifter was already on a roof. "What just-" the orange leopard began, but he was cut off by his brother running forward. His tan paws struck the wall with a thud and he leaped after Bell, landing with a slight stumble beside her.
"How did you-" Kareef started to ask with confusion and amazement in his eyes, but then noticed his brother running forward almost twice as fast as he had at the wall. His yellow-orange paws barely seemed to touch the rocky surface and he landed as gracefully on the wooden beam as if he had wings. The young leopard shook himself as if nothing had happened, eyes glittering.

Bell blinked in admiration at the two. "You guys are good at this!" Then a challenging smirk grew on her face. She prowled along the rooftop until she was within leaping range of a slightly higher rooftop. She crouched, then pounced and grappled onto the wooden shingles. With a bit of scrabbling, she pulled herself up. Then she glanced back at the two cats.

Kareef laughed and ran up after her, scrambling a small big as a claw got stuck on the wood. "I told you, we've been practicing!" A prideful gleam flashed in his dark blue eyes and his whiskers twitched.
"All for a greater Vri'!" Karif cried as he dashed forward and leapt without imperfection onto the roof. A small smile crept across his muzzle as the sun sparkled off his fur.

"I can see that!" Bell admitted, ears flicking forward. She watched in wonder as Karif smoothly flew up onto the roof beside them. "You're really good too, Caress..." SHe tipped her head. "Who's Vri?"

"Vriodel. It is the name of the land we come from. Kareef and I are the guardians of the moors." Karif held his chin high. His voice was deeper and had much more authority than his easygoing older brother.
"Not many folk come by the moors, but an unguarded part of the realm would end up with chaos," Kareef added smoothly. He shrugged. "Of course, it isn't the end of the world that we're not there right now," he said softly, looking down. He then perked back up. "Anyways, where shall we explore next?"

"Ooooh, guardians of the moors? That sounds so awesome!" Bell breathed. She looked to Kareef as he spoke. "This is kinda like a vacation for you guys, right?" she teased before looking around. "Uhhh, let's go this way!" She raced across the rooftop in the direction of a distance building with a rounded red dome. The shifter hopped onto a flat roof, then raced across it until she reached an alleyway. She looked around for a place to leap over.

Afternoon desert heat hung over a sandstone city, making the dusty streets seem dirtier and the life more vacant. Dust clouds drifted above the city, blocking the sun and turning the sky orange.
Samaira, face bundled in a silky red fabric, peeked out from an alleyway before quickly making her way down a quiet street. She entered another alleyway, then stopped the brush the sand off her feet. A hiss sounded from within her headscarf, and Lakki poked his scaly head out and lapped at the air.
"Sure is dry, isn't it?" Samaira remarked as she looked around.

(It's up to you! I think it'll be interesting enough with Cosmic and Sammy!)

CosmicDreamer was walking down a dusty path, this hands in his jacket pockets, he keep as much as his true appearance hidden, but he never bother to do anything about his hair.

" Well, this place sure is a lively one" Cosmic muttered sarcastically at his surroundings " a little sand and everyone runs from cover "

Samaira caught the sound of a voice just down the street, so she flattened herself against the alleyway wall and peeked around the corner. She eyed CosmicDreamer suspiciously, unfamiliar with his face. Tenmpted to respond, she slipped around the corner and leaned against it, arms crossing. "How insulting," she remarked hotly. "You think you can come and just judge everybody here?"

Recognizing the stubborn retaliation in the stranger's attitude, Samaira tipped her chin up arrogantly. "You're on -our- turf. Watch yourself," she warned. Curious about the stranger, the woman pushed off the wall and sauntered along until she was in his path. She scrutinized his appearance, noting his strong build. //Must be some traveling warrior. Don't see hair like that around here.//

" he put down his hands and had a flat expression "I'm really shaking in my boots" talking a step towards her, Cosmic tip his head up " I don't see anyone else with you Buttercup so just exactly is 'our' turf?" He said eyeing Samaira.

Wrestling came from the Dreamer jacket and a purple Fairfin pop his head out of his Bond Partners neck of his jacket " Cosmic, don't be such a jerk, you know it not nic--" Gus squeaked when Cosmic quickly shoved him back down into his jacket " shh" the Dreamer hiss // Ugh! Gus now how am I supposed to explain this?// He thinks irritated.

Clearing his throat Cosmic then folded his arms nonchalantly

Samaira had to tense her body to keep herself from backpedaling when Cosmic stepped nearer. She was particularly aggressive and apathetic toward most males, and so far the Dreamer was not an exception. When she heard the little voice and saw a faint glow from the stranger's pocket, her brows raised in intrigue. Samaira tipped her chin up and jabbed her finger against his chest. "Obviously, not yours." In a flash of movement, Lakki slithered up her arm and down toward Cosmic's pocket. The serpent snagged one of Gus's wings and tugged him partway out of the pocket.

{From the side, a man was watching, a beer in his hand and a massive grin split across his face. Clearly, he was quite enjoying the show.}

"It's eating me!!" Gus let out a pathetic scream getting grabbed.

Cosmic didn't hesitate, he grabbed the snake with one hand and slightly pulled his sword from its sheath with his other " I wouldn't do that if I were you" he threatened with a growl

Samaira balled her fist, ready to strike, when Cosmic grabbed Lakki, but then she gasped and froze when she caught the glint of his sword. "Don't touch him," she growled, unable to disguise her fright. The python stopped moving, recognizing the danger as well, but he kept Gus's wing clamped in his mouth.

Rakkaus shook his head, to clear his mind from the heat, he then directed his snout up at Kaito. "You have my word, I will not harm your fairy friend" he shouts

"What I wouldn't give for my wings and eyes back. To be guided around like some old fool" he grumbles to himself. "You are some old fool" Sophie pipes up and giggles as Rakkaus grumbles more.

Kaito eyed Rakkaus warily, then called back, "Thank you!" He couldn't help but smile some as Sophie teased Rakkaus and the old dragon continued to grumble.
After what seemed like hours more of walking, Kaito finally shouted in an elated voice, "I see the city! It's not far up ahead!" he reported, beating his wings in eagerness. "Come on!"

"Come on? COME ON!?" Rakkaus snarls, "These old bones don't have much left after all these hours, these days" he curls his lip and keeps going. Much slower than he was earlier. He could feel every ache in his tired body, his legs barely holding him up.

Sophie was sitting on one of his platings, "I see it Rah!" she points, "Do you see it?"

"Yes of course" Rakkaus responds with heavy sarcasm

Kaito didn't pay Rakkaus's sarcasm much mind as his mind was now focused solely on food. In his impatience, the wyvern circled above the old dragon a few time. "You see it, Sophie?" he said, sharing in her eagerness.

(...I take it @Shadow passed out. Not sure what to do now.)

"I do!" The young dragonette squeals, "Oh I'm so thirsty! I hope they have watermelons! I love watermelons! But anything to drink would be nice, my throat burns like fire, I need to put it out!"

Rakkaus was grumbling incoherently to himself now, working on getting to the city as quick as he could.

(Yeah, I guess she did. Since it's coming close to late, we might have to put our interaction on hold. Sorry you couldn't take part sooner!)

Cosmic slightly glanced over his shoulder to the man shouting " keep your nose out of this, just keep walking " he hiss, the Dreamer keep Samaira in the corner of his eyes, he turned his full attention to her " have your pet let go of my partner and he can keep his head "his eyes pierced the female.

The Fairfin was Frozen with fear, his eyes move to his Dreamer, then to the girl, and finally snake who had a hold of him

Kaito gave a toothy grin. "Oh yes, watermelon is great! Yucca loves watermelon too!"
The wyvern continued to flail about energetically until they reached the edge of the town. Energy finally spent, Kaito practically crash-landed on the sandy street. "Need... water!" he gasped in an intentionally dramatic way, dragging himself along with his wing claws.

Rakkaus was wheezing by the time he reached the town, all his joins ached terribly. He shakily walked passed the dramatic wyvern, shaking his head. His ears straining for any sound of running water or drips.

Sophie had hopped off his back and joined Kaito in his dramatic crawling and gasping, occasionally giggling as she mimicked him.

Samaira glanced over to the man when he shouted, actually considering doing what he said. Her eyes pleaded for help, but her pride wouldn't allow her to actually call out for it. She turned her gaze back to the python. "Lakki, let him go." The snake rolled its head to look up at her, apparently reluctant to let his catch go, but finally he cracked his jaws open enough for the Fairfin to slip out.

{The man just laughs.} "Easy, pal. I might not be the nicest guy around, but even I know that's no way to talk to a lady."

Kaito paused from his dramatic act to exchange a grin with Sophie, then heaved himself onto his feet and shook the sand out of his hide. "Well, looks like we've made it! First stop: watermelons!" he announced. He began to prance forward, until a tiny voice just about blew out his left eardrum. "Kaito, what in the juniper jelly are you DOING??"
The wyvern flinched and staggered as a little sprite flew out from underneath one horn where she had been nestled. She was greenish in color with intricate patterns down her leaf-like garb, and she had pale hair which quite suitingly resembled the flower of a yucca plant. Yucca fluttered near to Kaito's head, hands on her hips. "What possessed you to roll around in the sand? You got sand in my ears! Are we at Pariffia yet?"

Yeah, I do! I have changed up his appearance quite a bit, but you could do that if you'd rather not wait!

Rakkaus had found a pail of water and drank the whole thing in one greedy mouthful. Now the eldery black dragon was laying under some shade to cool off.

Sophie hopped up and shook herself as well, again when sand from Kaito fell onto her. Her horns raised up when Yucca came out, "The fairy!" she shouts, hopping around on her hind legs excitedly. "Hi, hi, hi!"

I can wait~

Kaito flattened his ears distastefully. "Yes, we're here now, Yu. You can thank me for keeping you cool and shaded this whole time," he remarked.
Yucca opened her mouth to respond, but she broke off into a squeak when Sophie burst out in hi's. She whizzed around until Kaito's head was between her and the dragonette. "Ahh!! Where did that little creeper come from? Wait--" She leaned forward and squinted at Sophie, then at Kaito. "How long have I been sleeping? Is she yours? Where's the spine-headed wench who--"
Kaito yelped and snapped at the fairy. "Nononononono it's not like that! She's just a friend, you dunce!" If he could blush in his current form, he'd be red as a berry in his face. "She's a friend, a friennnnd."

Sophie paused, tilting her head, "I am not a creeper, whatever that is" she puffs up her tiny chest, "I'm Sophie! Just like Kaito said, he's my friend!" she starts to bounce around again, absolutely bursting with energy. "We are wy..wy..ivin buddies" she nods, unable to say wyvern.

Cosmic let his sword fall back into it's sheath, and released the snake " good girl " he said with a smug smirk. he used his hand to pick up his Fairfin who started to cry " Gus, quit being such a baby, it's only a little bite you're live" he said putting his Bond partner up so he could hide behind his neck.

The Dreamer shapeshifter folded his arms and looked at orange hair man " hum, I didn't realize there was a lady here" he said casually purposely making a jab at the woman " I'm only /nice/ to those who deserve it " he shrugs his shoulders " or if the coin call for it "
" Aww, Cos acting like a tough guy, you taking job without pay before " Gus grinned

Yucca pursed her lips and glared at Sophie, then sighed. "Oh, good riddance. Come along now - we've got business here, don't we?" she said as she buzzed down the path, wings glittering in the sunlight.
Kaito gave Sophie a look that showed he was trying to hold back a laugh, then followed after his companion. He stopped as he passed Rakkaus, then slowly approached and nudged the old beast. "Uhh, Rakkaus.... We're moving now."

Sophie pouted at the fairy, she followed after Kaito, in her funny way she waddles. "Now I see why Rah eats them, not very nice" she grumbles to herself.

Rakkaus opened his eyes, not that there was any point in it. "I am not moving, my joints are killing me" he rasps out, his voice more worn out than earlier. "I do not have the energy I did a thousand years ago" he remains curled up in the shade.

Samaira held out an arm so Lakki could slither back up her. With a pout on his scaly face, the python curled around her shoulders again, vanishing underneath the hijab.
Samaira watched the bypasser warily, but she turned her attention to Cosmic when he made a jab at her. "Excuse me?" she snapped, straightening as best she should to come level with the Dreamer's gaze, though she still didn't come close. "I am a lady! Listen to him!" She pointed toward Vitis but didn't break her stare with Cosmic

"Very funny, jackass." {Vitis says after taking another drink.} "Clearly, yer momma never care enough about'cha to teach you some manners."

Kaito rolled his eyes at Sophie, then turned back to Rakkaus and widened his eyes. "A thous-- Wow..... Do you- do you need a moment longer?" he asked hesitantly. He glanced back at Sophie, concern on his face. //What if... What if he's dying now, and I met him at the wrong time?// he worried immaturely.

Rakkaus flared his nostrils, not answering, he just wanted to sleep and be out of the sun.

Sophie caught Kaito's concerned look, she waddled over and put her wings to Rakkaus's snout, "Come on Rah, we have to get supplies before the stores close. You can sleep later"

Rakkaus huffed, "Fine, I suppose you've twisted my tail" he pushes himself up with shaky arms. "What I wouldn't give to be young again" he groans as he gets up finally. "Lead the way Kaito" he says tiredly.

(I like how his mind just goes to Rakkaus dying because he's an old dragon xD)

The obsidian Dreamer ignored Samaira for now, his attention was on Vitis " obviously she didn't" he snapped back." And is in a lady supposed to know manners?" He shot a glare at the female

Cosmic shakes his head" whatever, I don't have time for this, I'm on the clock anyway" the Dreamer push past the two, he shifted to a king griffin, and took to the sky with his 4 wings, his Fairfin still holding on to him

Kaito blinked up at Rakkaus as he shakily rose, then nodded his head and loped after Yucca. //Don't go too fast, or he won't keep up... Geez, he really could be dying - what'd happen to Sophie? Would I take her in? I'm too young for that,// he continued to fret.
"Hurry up you lagging geezers!" Yucca called feom farther down the street. The green sprite fluttered ahead into a large market street, bustling with beings of every kind and divided by a channel of oasis water. Palm trees and bushes decorated the sides of the shops, adding a colorful flair to the place. Kaito slowed as he looked around at the area. "This is amazing," he remarked. "I can smell so much food."

Rakkaus curled his lip at Yucca's call, "The young these days have no respect for their elders" he growls. Using his tail and putting Sophie on his back, so she wouldn't get lost in the bustle.

Sophie gawked, "Oh wow, it is really pretty!" she felt her stomach clawing at her, "Let's find something to eat Kaito and Rah!" she puts up one wing, "Everyone knows a dragon on an empty tummy is a grumpy dragon" she snickers

(So should I, but eh :P)

Kaito laughed with Sophie. "That's right. Look, I think I see a stand for dragons!" The wyvern hurried over to a stand where the smells of freshly roasted meat wafted thickly, twisting his starving stomach into knots. "Ohh wow," he murmured as he looke dover the selection.
