Sounds good to me ^v^ Would you like to start off with the prologue or their first meeting after his disappearance. The origin I was thinking is that the two of them had been childhood friends. Three years ago Vaigh left in search of the crystal shards that surround Quauh, with the promise that he'd return. After about a six month journey he found one and attempting to contain it's power. He succeeded but at the cost of his memories. He's unaware that he even has the shard in his possession and the events leading up to obtaining it. After containing the shard he passed out and awoke in the mountains of Kehenil. Shortly thereafter he met and befriended Evee. Their initial meeting sparked a short battle between the two of them. Having gained each others respect. Evee introduced him to Lord Sagrado. Not long after Sagrado offered him the position as his royal guard and Vaigh accepted. For the past two years he's been a citizen of Kehenil and royal guard to their leader.

Not sure how exactly he'd end up back in Zoil to meet Valkarie. Perhaps a meeting between her and Sagrado, in which their royal guards would be in attendance. Or his memories would gradually return in the way of dreams and or visions. This would compel him to go to Zoil. Either he would be granted time off to go to Zoil by himself or Evee would go with him.
What are your thoughts on all this?
