what i think should be in a proper sequel:

-open world like botw
-unlike botw u dont have all the brush techniques at first/near the beginning of the game, but they wouldnt be in dungeons either, u would have to go out and get them and u can get them in any order besides power slash and the restore one which uu would get near the beginning
-it would be possible to beat the game/final boss whiile only unlocking a few brush techniques
-fast travel available at start and for places u have visited
-can beat enemies iin creative ways like in botw, dont have the scrolls anymore for the most part

-different overworld (dont want the same exact one buut it would have similar themes to original like there would be a ryoshima coast area but it would be diffferent from in okami 1)
-dungeons can be visited in any order but they don't have any brush techniques in them

or if they do have brush techniques they wouldnt be required for beating the fiinal boss or would be mainly for combat like in botw

-there would be a brush technique u learn during the final boss battle before the final phase

-can use brush techniques on more things (ie setting the grass on fire, freezing water, using wind to blow a giant rock onto enemies)

-also can purify cursed areas in any order u want or even not at all
