He took a step back and stayed cautious despite finding the floating man quite attractive "Huh? who are you? Where'd you come from?"

"I could ask the same questions to you." The man said still looking at Videl with no real emotion. "For all I know you could've stolen me from my master.... or worse...." He began to move towards the floor and landed, standing up straight. "Having a master is one thing, my loyalty to the Acosta line is another. So explain yourself on how you came into posession of that key."

"The Acosta line?? I didn't know this.. Well since you seem to know them then you would know Laila no?" He started looking off "She's the one who gave me this key before she..disappeared and I've been looking for her on this ship with a crew called the junkers."

"You know of Laila? She is my master.... Was, I suppose." He said almost quietly. "Yes, she had an ability to see what will happen..." He continued to say, now just thinking aloud to himself. "So she knew of her danger and yet... she did not want to avert it..." He slowly looked down to the floor still having a serious face on him and suddenly looked back up to Videl. "What is your name, boy? If your goal is to rescue Laila then I have no choice than to assist."

He looked kinda surprised with a drip of sweat "I uhh..well it's Videl.." He starts piecing things together the more the man speaks "May I ask what your name is as well? And well what you even are."

"Kurow." He said plainly, "Kurow Acosta. I am a familiar of sorts..." He walked around for a moment, still keeping his eye on Videl.
"I wonder why you're so dead set on saving Laila. You are nothing but a child."

Starting to get a bit irritated with hearing the same words as others call him "I may be a child but don't underestimate me, I have much power and much utility as a person as well, just so happens I may need this crew to start helping get to her somehow because at the moment my mom who's a Queen is having a goose chase with me when I just want to save my friend.. She's in danger and I swore I'd protect her and now she's just gone!" He said as he looked away from Kurow and with a face of guilt he sat down by the wall of the ship

"Hmm..." Kurow began, "Don't blame yourself for the situation. Whether you're capable or not, you are still a child. And much like how you can make the decision of saving her, she had the choice to not ask for help. Don't blame yourself for this." He then poked at Videl's forehead and continued speaking, "I respect your feelings towards this, your bravery to act, and you as a person. My powers are in your hands, and your protection in mine."
Kurow held out his hand, going in for a handshake. "To be my temporary master, you must hold a contract with me. Will you accept?"

He looked up still feeling bad but he held his head up with the determination to get his friend back "This is all happening kind of fast, I didn't think a key had this sort of power or person but." He extends his arm and shakes his hand " I accept Kurow, Sorry you have to protect someone not from the Acosta line" he grins and smiles kind of sadly "If it's not Laila getting taken away from me It's also you having to have a contract with someone not from that lineage, I apologize... I'm ready to be your master, to find her."

"Good. I like your determination. The temporary contract does not matter so long as it is to help the ones I would call 'family'. However," he said, still expressionless, " I need to know this place a little better."
