Necate, capital city of Noctoux. As an unseely city, it's populated mainly by faeries, with the exception of black mages, and human slaves. The concentration of dark mana has caused the dense, gnarled forest, and the gloomy atmosphere, making it always appear nighttime.
Though the river looks like it makes it's source at the castle, it's actually running upward toward the temple that the palace was built around. This is because it's filled with Aion, the mana of life, and some speculate that these are the souls of the dead, returning to the other world.
