Smelters, as depicted above, are the lowest class Akhetians there are. They cannot control matter as well as the more powerful classes, and as a result, can barely sustain a solid form. Given the fact that their forms are constantly oozing molten metals and rock, they are very hot, and are rather uncomfortable to be close to for prolonged periods of time and have been known to unwittingly start fires. While the higher classes can create vocal chambers to speak, Smelters cannot, and any words they attempt to utter sound like a garbled mess. Do not let their appearance and inability to speak fool you, however, for they are intelligent beings. Given their poor matter manipulation, Smelters cannot create matter clouds to form weapons. As a result, they often have to form one of their own limbs as a weapon to use in combat. These forms are mostly composed of felsic igneous rock, such as Rhyolite and iron.
