He has PTSD/anxiety related symptoms when it comes to seeing canines because of his childhood. He can't stand seeing cervine carcasses at work either and will literally pass out while holding the butcher's knife, so Leo keeps those out of sight for safety. For other carcasses he chews on stress reducing minty herbs to cope. He was kicked out of the house at 16 following winter's worst famine in village history and was stuck as a butcher in the city with his partner

Nobody would hire him as he's an outsider to the city, especially not butchers because he's an herbivore but Leo was kindhearted enough to take him in. Despite the stress, he's the best butcher at the store
